However, they were so eager to get started that went ahead and did so with a food truck. This place is right on our daily communte and decided to stop by. It is centrally located in a great spot and easy to find with plenty of free parking. This is a Venezuelan food place with an initially limited menu but really delicious. My wife and I tried the mixed pepito (sub sandwich) and the empanadas. They were really delicious! The service was great and the vibe is truly like a traditional Venezuelan street food place with Latin music in the background (no worries, it's not loud music). Overall, 100% recommended.

I also tried the mini arepas, which came with beans, chicken salad, and pork. I was actually surprised that the bean arepa ended up being my favorite. It was packed with so much flavor. The chicken salad was okay, but I felt like it could have used a little more seasoning. The pork was really good and seasoned to perfection. I also had their cachapas, which came with fried cheese, steak, and a sweet corn pancake. The steak could have used a little more seasoning, but the sweet corn pancake was amazing. I would highly recommend the food, and their drinks are very good as well. It is a small restaurant, so there is not a ton of space, but it has a great vibe inside. Now, as far as the service, my first visit was amazing. The second time, however, the service was not good. We sat on the patio, and the waitress was very short with us and came across as rude. Overall, I would still recommend checking this place out for the food and drinks, but I do hope the service becomes more consistent because the food is definitely worth trying. I did caught them at Sycamore on Monday night but got Yuca Fries only as I had dinner plans, you can't still go wrong with them. The only downside of this food truck is that, they don't really have a smaller portion menu or smaller amount menu but the current menu is right on money. I would eat 'em over and over again. They have amazing customer service and answered all my questions about the food. Now, onto the food, CACHAPA, it was delicious, and I really enjoyed that it is something I can have for breakfast. It has cheese and is made with corn kernels that are pureed, kind of like pancakes. The big sandwich is the PEPITO, it was so good. We opted for the 12 inch option that was mixed with chicken and beef. It was enormous, and the flavors just dance in your mouth. It's a must eat. It has a lot in it, lol. I ordered pastelitos de pizza, and they were pretty good. Jose and Estafania are awesome. The customer service is top-notch. Give them a try very worth it. The taco was steaming hot, with a generous portion of meat and plenty of onion and cilantro. I squeezed some lime juice and added the green sauce plus some Valentina salsa picante. It hit the spot. And even better washed down with the seltzer! I can see myself hanging out in this area a lot, especially later in the week when more of the shops and restaurants are open!

It was impossible to get a chip to your mouth without a trail of cheese dripping across the table (and hopefully not onto your clothes). I also had the Quesabirria. It was very flavorful, but also maybe slightly over-cooked and a bit too chewy. It was a bit messy to eat, as the cheese was oozing out and grease was dripping with every bite. It was a challenge to keep the grease from running down my arm and getting on my clothes. Maybe I was just there on an off night, but the food didn't quite live up to my expectations.
