Very impressive! I ordered the Korean taco and the chicken fajita taco. Both were made with fresh ingredients and were a nice portion size! They were delicious! Chips and salsa as a side...enough for leftovers!!! I also ordered a chicken fajita salad for lunch the next day. The flavors were delicious and a half order was just enough to satisfy my appetite!! I used the drive thru because was by myself. Don was extremely accommodating and patient as I perused the menu and made my choices! No way this place should have more than 2 stars. The tortillas are cold. The Mexican style Street corn is just canned cream corn with spices. The food is offensively bad and I think taco bell has more flavor. $30 for 3 tacos 3 drinks and a side of corn, there's no way I'll be back. read more

I've been curious about this place for a little while now, passing it on our drives back into to town from our little "drive dates", and we finally have it a try. It is very eclectic inside, tending me of Austin, Texas, my home. Oh, and they do have a gluten free menu not listed on the ones up front, but ask for it at the register. I have to say, once we went inside I liked the appeal, but looking at the menu and seeing flour tortilla style tacos I honestly thought they were peddling taco chain style tacos instead of the street tacos I'd hoped for; was I wrong! The tacos were bomb! And huge! I got a meal (and with each meal they donate to make sure hungry children are fed), having the bbq Korean and chorizo tacos, hottest level they had (habanero) with the caso rice. Mom has one of their bowls, and the wifey got the chicken bacon and ranch tacos, and everything was delicious, and impossible to finish. The tacos were so big and stuffed, but to be honest, it may have had something to do with the seasoned chips and caso that we chowed down on before our meals were brought out. I think it's a safe bet that you can't go wrong with your order here. 1 visit to Tacos 4 Life will last me 4 life! I describe it as an average fast food fusion taco place. We tried a good variety of their menu. Everything was fresh and tasted good (except the crab cake taco), but nothing was so good it would bring me back. There is a varied selection of the tacos, salads and sides; all mildly seasoned. We started with the Ultimate Trio, a bland combo of guacamole, salsa and queso. It was very fresh. Of the tacos we tried, (classic beef taco, chipotle taco, blackened Mahi-Mahi and the crab cake taco) two stood out. The classic beef taco was the best and the crab cake taco was terrible. The crab cakes not only looked bad, the taste was not appetizing at all. No crunch, mushy and dark colored. It didn't look like fresh crab. All of the tacos were packed full with ingredients. No skimping on the meats. The Ultimate Nachos were generously loaded with the black beans and guacamole. We add the grilled chicken. It was a big, big serving and they were fairly decent. If you want to add some heat to your meal, you are limited to their one bottle of Cholula, if you can find it. If Taco's 4 Life would add a salsa /condiment bar, with a good variety to match the foods they offer, I might be back. Right now I am one time and done. The dining environment is a noisy mess hall. Order your food at the counter, get a number and it is delivered. All of the employees we interacted with super nice! The restaurant donates a portion of the money you pay, to an organization that provides meals to children in other countries. That seems like a good cause. read more

I've heard this place has great food, so we decided to give it a try. Went on Friday night. I ordered the tofu tacos. They are served as street tacos, but the filling was so wet the tortilla was soggy, which made them very messy and difficult to eat. It's clear they don't know what to do with tofu as it was just soft chunks with some sort of marinade that didn't permeate but was just on the outside. I also doubt it was truly vegetarian - perhaps the tofu is cooked on the same grill with the meat, because I got sick afterwards. I also had a side of chips and guac. The guac was fresh and soft, but had a strange tang to it. Giving them 3 stars instead of 1 because husband enjoyed his meal. I totally understand why the bad reviews lately! Our bill for $32.00, two meals and no alcohol. MOD was sullen when I returned my salad (the lettuce was warm , the black beans were hot and the fake ranch dressing was out of the great value bottle). Me and my friend decided to head out for lunch, like we do most weeks, and Tacos 4 Life was my first choice. They're close enough to us, so we don't have to drive too far. I ordered the chipotle steak taco with a side of salsa, and my friend got the fajita chicken taco with queso. The ending cost was around $22, and we shared our sides. I am an avid queso enjoyer so of course I have to share about that. The queso is somewhere in-between, with a thicker consistency but not too thick that it lumps up on your chip. It is quite flavorful (something that seems uncommon nowadays) and was pretty enjoyable! Definitely a queso I could approve of. The salsa, on the other hand, is pretty bland. It's not spicy whatsoever and was quite generic. I've had better. My taco was really good. The chipotle sauce is delicious, and it was the perfect combination. Their fluffy flour tortillas are to die for! My only problem with the taco was that the steak was quite chewy. It was hard to take smaller bites of the taco without falling apart; that's another thing. You're going to get messy eating here. The tacos are filled to the brim. A great thing about Tacos 4 Life is just the atmosphere. It's wonderfully decorated in bright colors and no corner is blank.
