This was a really disappointing experience from start to finish. The margarita was the worst I've ever had--it tasted like straight sugar cane with no balance at all. I let the waitress know I was unhappy with it, and she could clearly see that I barely touched it, yet I was still charged for it. The food was just as bad--greasy, heavy, and honestly disgusting. I am very disappointed with this place. The chips definitely did not taste like they were made there at the restaurant. Tasted like they came out of a bag. The salsa tasted canned. It has a "mom and pop" feel to it; it's the kind of place where the staff members know each other well, and there's a 14-year-old kid behind the register. There's plenty of room for dine-in customers, but ordering takeaway is as easy as picking up the telephone. The service is average - so are the quesidillas. What aren't average are the restaurant's tacos. While they have a solid menu of other Mexican favorites, I only dine here when I want their namesake item. Tacos A La Diabla has many tacos on their menu, but I enjoy the ones from the "La Diabla" menu, as they are quite spicy. I made my order through door dash which I do not believe should mean that the quality standard of their food should be lower. I ordered the rice with shrimp and they did not clean the shrimp right. Talk about Taco Tuesday! I stumbled upon this place after a long day of work and a severe case of hangriness. It's your average Mexican spot when you walk in. I was greeted with a smile and a bowl of chips and salsa. The salsa was really good and had a nice chipotle flavor. I went through two bowls of that in no time! The specials for the day were 3 tacos for $5.99. I had my choice of chicken, steak, pork, and marinated pork. I went with the steak tacos with the traditional toppings of cilantro and onion and asked for avocado slices in the side. The only part I didn't like about this deal was that you aren't allowed to mix and match. But I got over that the moment I bit into one of my tacos. The steak was perfectly seasoned and so tender. This gem, I had driven past so many times and had never given it a second thought. Finally one day a co worker told me that it was one of her husbands favorite places because of its authentic taste. Now I'm a regular, the menu is large and it has all your typical Mexican style choices.. but my go to are the tacos. They come in groups of three and I get them with corn tortillas cilantro and onion then you can choose from a variety of meats or fish. Make sure you ask for the green and orange sauces. The cheese was light which I was shocked because I'm lactose intolerant but to the point cheese doesn't bother me as much as other dairy products, their cheese didn't bother me or cause discomfort which is boss! Everything was bomb ass including their damn chips and salsa! Ugh please just please don't change a thing. Crispy and fresh, authentic and light so damn good! Only thing I would say is make the vegetarian portions just as big as non-vegetarian meals. My entire meal was skinny if you will. I was hoping for a big burrito or at least a thicker quesadilla. Less than a mile off exit 46 on 465, this was a quick and easy stop for something better than a drive thru for sure. Very typical fare and prices, nothing fancy but the salsa was apicy, the chips were warm and the staff was super friendly. Pacifico, Coors Light, Modelo, Dos Equis, and Blue Moon on tap. They were hooking me! Then the food came. Total letdown. My girl had juevos rancheros, and the yolks were cooked hard and dry. Who does that? They have regular tacos and Diablo tacos and this is the sauce they put on the Diablo tacos. So if you like things that make your eyes water, mouth burn then go ahead and get the Diablo. This is my new go to Mexican place. We had the bean dip, which was just bean dip and cheese dip mixed. It was so good though. The chips are made in house and are nice and warm when you get them at your table. The salsa tastes fresh. I had the lunch special, which was 3 pork tacos. They had corn tortillas (my fave) and were topped with cilantro and onion. They also provide a red sauce and green sauce to top off your tacos with. The red sauce was pretty hot, so I opted to use the green sauce. It was amazing on top of my pork tacos. The pork was so tender and so filling. They do not skimp on the fillings at all. My husband and I both had the tacos and bean dip for lunch and everything all together was under $20! Best tacos in town hands down. Tacos a la diabla is Mexican in it's purest form. The first page of the menu consist of tacos mix and match and tacos diabla which is a very spicy seasoning they use. I prefer the regular tacos but most of my friends get the diabla. I would recommend getting two regular tacos and one diabla. The first time I tried the diabla I had sat down and ate the chips and salsa thinking man this salsa is fire- the perfect temperature. By the time the tacos came I found myself eating the salsa to cool off y mouth-the salsa was like water compared to the tacos. These are the best tacos in town. Hands down. $6 gets you 3 tacos loaded with meat. Just a bit more insight into the tacos- a good friend of mine grew up 10 miles form the Mexican border and ate homemade Mexican tacos most every day of his life, he said these tacos are as good if not better then the tacos from Mexico. I was so pumped to head to this new taco place after reading such great reviews about them online! We called in our order she said it would take about 10-15 minutes. The restaurant is a tad bit narrow but is decorated nicely and looks pretty updated. They had a wide variety of Jarritos so we tried a new one called Jamaica, smelled a little spicy but was a lot more sweet than we thought it would be. It wasn't bad but we also would not buy it again if that's any constellation. We ordered a total of 7 tacos. Two al pastor and five carne asada all no onion add cheese with cilantro on corn tortillas. I'm not sure what kind of cheese they use but typically the cheese does not melt well. The cheese did not melt well this time around either and it was very creamy and mild in taste. Both the al pastor and the carne asada had more gristle than meat. They have green and red sauce, the green came highly recommended so we asked for more of that sauce than the other. It was very liquidy in consistency and was super hot! The red sauce was spicy but not as flavorful. We'll probably be back to try the bean dip as we hear that it is fantastic, so hopefully it is! read more
