Tacos Al Vapor is awesome Mexican food-truck food at its finest! Can't go wrong with any of the food here. Everything freshly cooked and the truck is given an A-rating by the Health Department. Typically I go with carne asada tacos. Tonight, I ordered something completely different. And I am glad I did. All Meat Carne Asada and Carnitas Burrito with salsa, onions, and cilantro. No beans. No rice. That carnivorous burrito was the best tasting burrito I have ever had. Didn't even need extra salsa. I also ordered the lengua quesadilla. This taco truck is awesome! I've eaten at this place across the street from the DMV for the past few years and it never fails. The tacos are $1.25 and they have the best horchata. No chairs or tables, you eat sitting down where ever you can - which is the best part! I always eat tacos in the car with my mom. The burritos with rice, meat and cheese are mouth watering too. I will be back to this place over and over again! :) The truck is not hard to find, its says "Tacos" in bright neon green in front and "tacos al vapor" on the back. Parking is easy too! The tripas more on mushy side ... good flavor, only problem was the tablespoon of sawdust they mixed in with it. The amount of meat in each taco is a little conservative. There served with grilled onions. The red and green sauce, red is fairly spicy, green is medium spicy. It will get the job done for late-night tacos. read more

Finding good street tacos in the valley at a decent price is hard to come by, this place is no different and it really comes down to what you're looking for. Had asada tacos, al pastor tacos, tripa tacos, and an asada quesadilla. The asada and al pastor were good. Not overly oily but the al pastor was lacking some flavor, still pretty good though. The asada was delicious but at times was crunchy, not sure why. The tripa was just okay. Flavor was fine but too mushy for my liking. The biggest reason I probably won't come back here to get my taco fix in the valley is the price. I had heard the tacos were around $1 (hard to believe) to $1.25 (pretty standard). When I asked at the window they said $1.50 but after calculating, the girl charged me $1.65 a taco. Not okay with me. I've never had mulitas before, and when my friend told me to try it here, I wasn't sure why, since, I mean, it's pretty much just a quesadilla using corn tortillas. But I have to say my expectations were beyond exceeded. It was one of those moments where you re-realize for the Nth time how you can get surprised by the beauty of simplicity.
