Once again this place is just so so very amazing. We have been coming a lot more and all of the service is amazing, the food NEVER disappoints and we catch ourselves thinking of it all the time. It's very relaxing in the restaurant, not too loud or overwhelming. Marco is the BEST server, he's so nice and helpful. He also made a delicious drink for me!! I recommend as many people as I can to try this place. Can't wait to come back again! Thank you Marco!

This place had some of the best tacos I've had! The shells were hand/homemade and that's why I come back. The sauces were just as good, plenty of heat, but never once was I wishing for more flavor. Service has been great here every single time. This is one of my go to spots when I'm in Greenwood

We have been driving past this place for 3 years and I figured it was time to try it out. We arrived just before noon and half the parking places were empty but not true when we left at 45 minutes later. So they do a fair amount of business here for lunch. The complimentary chips and salsa were excellent. We both loved the salsa and how the chips were served warm. They asked if we also wanted guacamole or queso with our chips but we declined. I ordered the Lunch Steak Fajitas. I received a huge sizzling skillet plate with plenty of steak strips, red & green bell peppers and onions. On a separate plate, there was lettuce, pico de gallo, sour cream, beans and rice but no shredded cheese. I'm not sure if they forgot it or if it comes that way, it didn't really matter to me. The three tortilla shells came wrapped up in aluminum foil. I ate two fajitas before filling up and some of the steak strips plus the rice and beans. It was all good. She ordered the Lunch Chimichanga with the Shredded Chicken and got rice and beans as well. She commented that we both received dinner sized portions for lunch at only $7.99 a piece. She loved that the chicken was all white meat. The sauce on the chimichanga was really good she said.

I'd driven past Tacos and Brews many times but never stopped in, thinking it was probably a chain like On the Border or some other pseudo-Mexican joint. But after getting a craving for tacos and not wanting to go far, I looked up the menu online and had a hard time deciding what to order! They have a wide variety of taco meats and they come prepared street style, which is my favorite. I landed on chorizo - it comes with onions and you can add extra toppings. Cheese is not included and there's a small upcharge for adding it. Tacos are around $3.50 each, which is pretty normal. Flavors were great and two was plenty to fill me up. You also get to choose two salsa flavors and they give you a bag of chips. One of my salsas got left out, which was disappointing. I also thought what they did give me was a little bland. Also got the street corn, but was disappointed in that. Corn was not grilled and seemed over microwaved. They also put the seasoning on the side? I probably wouldn't get that again. Tacos were great though and will definitely go back to try some other things.

My family decided to try this spot for dinner. Located on the corner of a strip mall- the restaurant had a good amount of space. The space was very nice inside and clean. I had the arroz con pollo which was tasty and filling. We also shared the empanadas which were great. My sister let me try her elote as well which I love. The service was okay- our server was nice but didn't check on the table for awhile so I didn't have a drink refill quite when I needed it. I would definitely come back here as I enjoyed the atmosphere and food

My family wanted to try a new restaurant out in Greenwood area so we decided to stop here. There is a full parking lot out front so plenty of spots. When you enter, it's very clean, nicely decorated and great lighting. The staff were welcoming, polite and quick to help. We ordered a pitcher of strawberry margaritas which was tasty and shared as a table. As an appetizer we got empanadas which were garnished handsomely and tasted great. For my entree, I ordered the special El Lucahor which was 3 tacos so a soft/hard shell filled with beef, cheese, corn, lettuce and chipotle sauce along with a side of black beans. It was hot but very tasty! It's a really nice Mexican restaurant and I'm glad we checked it out.

Was craving tacos so decided to try this new establishment. Tacos are in the name so gotta be good right? It was! This is a "sister store" to Don Cuervo a little down the street from it but the menu isn't all the same. Inside it appears to be an average Mexican restaurant. Same ambiance, music, colors, etc. nothing too fancy. One thing that is majorly different is - no free chips and salsa. Most of the menu is a la carte style including the salsa and chips. I do not believe they refill the chips either. Since we only came for tacos we didn't order the chips and salsa, plus the prices can add up quickly. I absolutely loved the taco selection I chose and the sauces to pair with it! They were served HOT and were very flavorful! The corn tortillas are very nicely made and have a wonderful flavor, I'm a little picky when it comes to shells. I would definitely return and get the tacos again. We went at 12 on a Thursday and only a handful of others were there. Our food was made quickly. The staff was friendly as well.

Been here twice now and neither time was disappointing. Clean store, nice staff and good food. We absolutely love the fresh guacamole!

We went here last night and left disappointed. The food was mediocre at best and the place seemed worn down and a bit dirty. This was our first time and the place was nearly empty. I thought it was odd that a Mexican restaurant charged for chips and salsa and had other little charges too. I didn't really enjoy my food (it was basic) but my husband said his was alright. The only good thing about this place was the cheap drinks. My cutlery was dirty and the table we were at was sticky and the wall looked like a child colored all over it. Honestly I am not sure how this place survives to be honest but can't see it open for much longer when there's so many more Mexican places nearby that has better offerings unfortunately at a cheaper or the same price.

First time here! Everything was so good and so fresh! A fellow yelper said one time you can always tell how it will be based on what their guac looked like (purée vs thick chunks of ingredients). I always think about that now! Guac here was great! Tacos had great flavor and many meat options to pick from. They do offer other Mexican food options- enchiladas, burritos, etc, so much more than just tacos. We had the elote as well. They offer lots of different sauces for the tacos and their hottest is HOTTTTT. Incase you are feeling adventurous! We will be back!

They did a great job. Only four stars bc the refried beans are made with white beans which was very unexpected and their salsa is verde (made with tomatillos?) instead of the traditional red tomato one. They should give you an option. Granted I didn't ask bc I wanted to see what the "standard" things are. Their chips are fresh and tastes like they make them in house. You have a choice of corn or flour tortillas with your meal. Plenty of cheese drip is included in almost every dish so if you prefer more traditional dishes (wout all the cheese) let them know. They took it out for us. We only had the chicken loko dish but that was good. Easy parking too. Solid 4

Ambiance: This place is super cute. It's admittedly a small place next to a vape shop in a dinky…read morestrip mall but they've decorated very well inside and done what they could. It's clearly a family run business with the daughters helping out front and a mom in the kitchen. The place is freshly painted, there are comfy padded booths, tasteful decorations, and unobtrusive latin reggaeton playing in the background. Service was very friendly and food could take slightly on the longer side but that's because everything is made to order. The moment we put our order in we could hear the kitchen (which was one lady) throwing stuff on the cooktop and working hard the whole time. Food: They served some complimentary chips and salsa which were very good. The chips are actually fresh fried still with the glistening oil on them. Likewise, we got a bunch of tacos and the tortilla shells were fresh fried and crispy which was amazing. Quesa birria - The birria has a very deep rich flavor almost like cabeza meat, it might be from the bone/marrow used in the stock but it has a almost game-y flavor I hadn't had before. The dipping broth was excellent and they serve it with sliced cucumber, radishes, grilled jalapeños and caramelized onions which was such an amazing touch. If you're not opposed to bold flavors I would recommend this. 4.5/5 Barbacoa taco - Not a saucy Barbacoa like Chipotle but equally as flavorful and tender. This will always be a safe bet if you just want a beefy taco that pairs great with their salsas. 4/5 Al pastor torta - My wife likes tortas more than me but I will say the Al pastor is great. They do not skimp on the caramelized pineapple chunks and the pork has a nice coating of that smoky savory achiote seasoning. The torta itself is balanced in terms of the lettuce, beans, and tomato. The bread tastes home made with a slightly chewy texture. 4.5/5 Horchata - It's creamy and rich but not too sweet and generally mild on the cinnamon, all around enjoyable. They give you a giant mason jar of it too which is like 900 ml! 4.5/5 Special mention to the salsas which are just plain great. The hot salsa is like a roasted jalapeño salsa with a smokey kick from either pasilla or guajillo chiles. The green salsa is just perfectly balanced with a gentle savory and tangy flavor that enhances whatever you put in on. Overall I seriously enjoyed Fridas. It is not fancy or innovative but if you're looking for a family-run hole-in-the-wall business serving authentic and filling food, I would strongly recommend giving this place a try. Just for reference, we got two entrees, an horchata, and a la carte taco for $40 (pre-tip) and were stuffed for the rest of the day.

The avocados used were very fresh, the ratio of meat and cheese was perfect, and the chipotle peppers brought it together so nicely. Their fries are perfectly cooked, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The carne asada tacos were a little dry, however, I think it was mostly the tortillas that were dry, the meat was very well seasoned. I do wish they came with more onion, cucumber, radishes, and like wedges. Now, for the real star of the show, the salsas!!!! Wowww!!!!! They do not play around! The spiciest one is the green one with avocado chunks is incredible, the smooth green salsa is the second spiciest and lastly the chipotle red is the least spiciest. Truly incredible salsas!!! I was a bit disappointed in the Esquite, it was $10, and they didn't even fill the cup to the top, it was filled about 3/4ths of the way. For $10, I felt like it should've been up all the way with more mayo and spicy seasoning. I love how big and open the restaurant is, there is a half wall and seating on the other side, I appreciated that it was quieter and more relaxed. Overall, their food was pretty good, I am looking forward to going back and trying more of their menu.

They have a large menu behind the counter and lots of bottled drink options. No fountain drinks. You take a seat and they call your number when the food is ready. Everything is made fresh to order. One thing that stands out is how FRESH all of the ingredients are. They usually have an area with fresh radishes, cucumbers, salsas, and peppers but they didn't have that out this time. That might've been because I came towards the end of the day. But they did come on the side of my meal. They rented out the space next to them which opens into a whole other room with seating.
