    Comp chips
    Katherine A.

Mega Tacos is an unassuming, family-run taco shop in a converted old house. The yard, with patio, is filled with colorful signs and flags (and even a swing set for the kids) that grab your attention. There are a couple tables inside. The shop is not upscale, but clean, friendly and cozy. A couple small cases are filled with perfumes and candies. We ordered a mix of a la carte items from the menu. I wanted to try everything. The food is prepared fresh and tastes fresher than other area Mexican restaurants. Ali, the clerk, was welcoming and friendly. She offered us some comp chips and salsa after we ordered and paid at the front counter. Prices are beyond reasonable. The portions are large. My carne asada sope was huge and delicious with lots of fresh cheese, lettuce, tomato and onion. The beef was well seasoned and good. I also ordered a chicken chalupa, which was served on a thick flat bread with lots of fillings. The chicken was delicious. The house sauces are really good, especially the avocado sauce. I think I used a whole bottle. Entrees come with fresh lime and refreshing sliced cucumbers. My husband had a chicken tamale and a beef chalupa. The tamale was huge and moist with a healthy portion of chicken breast meat. On Tuesdays, tacos are $2. No alcohol is served, which is a shame because a Corona would have hit the spot. Parking is at the rear of the building. The restroom is clean. This is a great little taco stand and worth a visit.

Mega Tacos is located in a small town by the name of Clermont, In. I just happened to drive past and decided to get a meal to go. Be aware that the parking is a little tricky. It's located in the back of the building. Also, The building is a house. Once inside there are approximately 2-3 tables to dine in but this place seems more like a take and go spot. The restaurant is clean and there is one person taking your orders and another in the kitchen. The menu is a nice size and there are several options to pick. I went with the shrimp quesadillas. They came with rice, lettuce, tomatoes and a dollop of sour cream. As my friend would say this quesadilla tasted fresh and had the freshest of ingredients. For this, I will return and try a burrito or taco. Go try it!

We've stopped in here numerous times and have always left satisfied and almost always with leftover food. The place is a small converted house so there's not a whole lot of seating. They do have some outside tables available though. You order at the counter and they will bring the food to you. This time we ordered elote (mexican corn on the cob), a steak tostado, a shrimp taco camarones (shrimp) empanizados. Everything was good and filling. The empanizados are basically fried shrimp and came with rice, beans, lettuce, tomatoes, guacamole and sour cream on the side. We will be back for sure.

Such a great restaurant! The chicken sopes are my favorite. I had the $2 tacos today and they were so good! I will definitely be back to try some of the other food options

Do I recommend this business? Yes. Yes. And Yes again. It was amazing. My sister found this spot and said it had good reviews. She brought me back a veggie taco. Let me tell you, it was a 10/10 but I thought it was good because I was starving. My nephew that doesn't like tacos, smashed his and also said it was really good. I couldn't stop thinking about the taco so decided to grab me two before heading back to my side of town. It seemed a little sketchy. You have to park in the back. They also have a small grocery store in the back. I was greeted when I walked in. The menu online isnt the full menu. They had a vegetarian section on the menu which I loved. The food was made fresh as you order so it was a small wait there was plenty of seating. They have a stocked fridge with different drinks. I tried the pineapple Fanta. It took me about 45 minutes to get home and my food was still warm. I smashed one taco and didnt have room for the second one. It was very filling. I appreciate having a vegetarian options on the menu for people like me who don't eat meat. Make sure to check them out. They have different specials throughout the week.

All time favorite food is so bomb & the workers are so kind. It's pretty quick service even though they obviously get a good amount of orders. The lobby is smaller but try it once & you'll love it

This was an experience for sure. Over all my fajitas were bomb. But I was served the meat only then after I asked I was brought the rest one item at a time. Which I thought was weird. Didn't have enough tamales for the number of people we had in our group. I really think they wasn't prepared for more than two people at a time definitely not 6... server was doing her best but just too many of us. One guest had a soup and got her food last most of us was done eating and ready to go. Fyi restrooms were out of order do to lack of cleaning...

I've driven by many times but never stopped in until today. The first issue I had was that the parking is behind the building, and then you have to walk back around to the front door. It's not a big deal but inconvenient if it's a rainy day or when it's dark, so something to keep in mind. It was empty when I walked in except for the staff/owners. I ordered a steak burrito, no beans for my daughter, and 3 tacos (chicken, steak, and carnitas) for myself. I asked for a second green sauce, and they also gave me a red sauce, and I also got a side of rice. The food overall was good, and the tacos were loaded with meat, onion, and cilantro. My daughter enjoyed her burrito, though she said the meat was very chewy. The carnitas taco was good, and I was surprised that they included the skin, which gave the taco some juiciness. The rice was good, though I felt it could have used some seasoning. I would eat here again, and it's close to where I live so very convenient.

If you're in the Brownsburg area and are craving some tacos.. check this place out! To start this place is in a small house on the main strip in Claremont. You don't really notice it other than the big sign that says Omega Tacos. When you walk in you're greeted by a friendly staff member that's sitting behind the small order counter. I ordered my tacos and within 5 minutes they were out. The tacos were perfect! Hot, flavorful, loaded to the brim with meat and toppings. This place isn't special looking for fancy but has great tacos. Will be coming here again for sure!

Mango ice cream drink. I forgot what it was called! Sorry!

I like a dim atmosphere, but it was hardly lit enough to read the menu. It was difficult to navigate as it was mostly in Spanish. Extremely limited vegetarian options which I'm not sure I can assume were actually without chicken base in the rice, etc. I didn't even see a vegetable fajita on the menu. My vegetarian burrito sans crema and cheese consisted of little more than rice and a couple small diced pieces of avocado and diced tomato. Iceberg lettuce? I saw corn niblets and a pea fall out. Bland. Hot sauce choices not fantastic. What kind of burrito contains no beans?? Everyone else at my table received flatware. I was given a plastic fork. Once I received an actual fork & knife, they kept tearing the paper underneath my burrito. Strangely served with raw cucumber (ick) & lime wedges on the side. Edible at best. The atmosphere looked interesting upon entry, but it felt grungy, the chairs were heavy. I was seated right next to a brick wall/chimney. Service was sparse. Definite language barrier. The dish my companions received was an array of meat in a molcajete. Mixed feedback on the peppers being ungodly too hot & some of it, especially the sausage, having a good flavor. It was massive & messy. It was interesting initially but definitely didn't look appetizing to me. That came with a bowl of beans in sauce with what we later discovered were Chicharrón on top. It looked like boiled mystery chicken skin. A friend from SoCal I consulted online had no idea what it was from my photo as we tried to discern it & they didn't realize it was even Mexican food from the appearance. It was assumed I was at an Asian joint. We had to ask for drink refills far into our meal. I was given a fresh new cup. The server took another person's cup from the table and refilled it in the back. That was strange and seemed unsanitary. We didn't get everything we asked for. I'd say language was the problem except for the fact the server had understood my requests when "crema" was the only Spanish word I used. Ladies' room had room for one person at a time. The sink was backing up. It felt dingy like the rest of the building. I'm glad they had paper towels and not just a hand blower. I didn't choose the restaurant. It was one of the worst if not THE most horrible Mexican meals & experiences I've had in my life. Hard pass. I'd gladly pay more for better fare elsewhere. I can make far superior at home.

The tacos (your choice of protein) were $1.49 each. I was honestly surprised that they had plenty of onions, cilantro, two different sauces & a baggie of radishes & limes for that price. I will say, I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the shredded chicken although clearly seasoned (color wise) with sazon, it was dried completely out with only a hint of flavor. I added the green sauce on the chicken ones and it gave it a little umph but then I tasted the amazing seasoning in the rice and beans & WOW. I put a little of both on the chicken tacos and that was just what they needed. All in all the tacos were an 8/10 and the rice+beans were 10/10. The rice was cooked perfectly & the best compliment to the soupy beans. Parking: TERRIBLY positioned & shared lot, spots are tight & all the businesses stay with a crowd. Service: the cashier wasn't unpleasant BUT I had every intention on sitting down and eating inside (they have about 8 tables and 4 small booths) but she assumed I wanted it to-go without asking me as she asked the family of Spanish/hispanic/latino/a heritage before AND after me. In the moment I didn't feel slighted because I think I was just so tired & hangry but it definitely is memorable now that I'm writing the review a day later. I could have very well corrected her and said I wanted to dine in but I'm not one to force it when I feel unwanted or unwelcomed . This by no means discredits the food, it was wonderful & so was the price. I wouldn't go as far as to say I'll never be back because it would be a lie - what I WILL do moving forward is speak up for myself as it could have been done unintentionally.

Definitely needed salsa, but as I mentioned earlier, the salsas were not very good. Good. I had a roasted red salsa, salsa Verde, plus chili de arbol. None of them, had anything going for them.
