My Fam put me on to this place, and today was my first time trying their food. Parking is cool, and from my pics you can see it is a place that you either eat in your car or take it to go. The service was ok, the lady taking my order seemed slightly confused when I was placing it. They do announce your number in Spanish...I just handed my ticket to the lady. lol. I was not impressed by my choices. I ordered the fajita chicken and beef on flour and corn. I added crème. They give you a jalapeño grilled. I did not taste any flavor. The shells were subpar. I also ordered the Charro beans, which was also bland. Everything tasted basic, and not flavorful. I do love the price point of their food!! One of the more doper taco spots in Houston that went from a truck to a small brick & mortar joint. This place satisfies all of the things I look for in a local taco spot which is authenticity, politeness, seasonings/taste, and price. The proteins scream mexico including the lengua, tripa, and chicharron. For those who don't know, that's the tongue, tripe, and park skin. If you're getting freaked out by it, don't knock it until you've tried it cause the flavors and textures will knock your socks off! They also do an excellent barbacoa and fajita taco as well. All tacos are topped with sauteed onions and cilantro. Don't forget to get a side of charro beans as well as they are simmered in chicharron and meat trimmings for this killer taste! You can get tacos, gorditas, tortas, burritos, and quesadillas. When you order, you'll get a number and then they'll call for it in about 3-6 minutes. So there I was - sitting on 45 - stuck in traffic when the taco craving hit. Since I wasn't moving, I launched Yelp to look for some local delectables. Presto! Tacos Arecely's came up at the top of the list. I took the next exit, made two turns, then I found myself in line at what appeared to be an old gas station. When I walked up to the counter, the menu was simple. It was spread over 3 poster-sized boards. For the most part - it's tacos, tortas, etc...with all of the typical fillings. I decided to order some barbacoa tacos and a fajita torta. The barbacoa was excellent. It had the the right amount of sopping greasiness that I love in my taco. In addition to the proper texture, the flavor was great as well. I would order these beauties again in a second. The torta was good, but not great to me. Some of the fajita was a little difficult to chew. Not all, but some. I would say 95% was good and 5% was to chewy. Overall, it was a solid torta. If you stop by here, be prepared to take it to go -- or at least eat i your car. There is no outdoor seating. And by the way, I saw menudo on the menu if that's your thing. Well they moved and I followed. Been coming here for years! .99 cent for whatever meat you would like. Lengua is 1.50. My god they are full of flavor! I always get fajita and pastor on corn tortilla. The corn Tortillas are home made with love. The green and red sauce are so good! Full of flavor. I have never had a bad meal here. Everything is amazing and super cheap! I haven't eaten all day so o got 6 tacos charro beans and Gordita for 10.00 lol. Honestly this is two meals. I'll eat three tacos half the Gordita and half the beans and half of everything later. The flour tortillas are especially delicious in my own opinion. My favorite is somewhere in between the chicken tacos with flour tortillas and the al pastor tacos with corn tortillas. The lengua, bistec, and barbacoa tacos are all good...but there is just something divine about my first two choices. At a dollar each, I recommend getting at least three per adult. Amazing tacos! Everything I have tried is good. Barbacoa on corn are the best! Pastor either on corn or flour are delicious, their salsas are perfectly seasoned. Charro beans probably the best ones I have tried. Horchata is really good but too sweet for me, I always need to add water. Fajita and chicken tacos are really good. The corn tortillas alone are FIRE. I love the lengua tacos and my parents love the fajita and barbacoa tacos. A lot of people talk about the woman who takes the orders at the front and her questionable customer service... I have never had a problem with her. She's nice to me. However, I work in customer service so I always go above and beyond to be extremely nice to people in the industry and that typically pays off for me. I've watched some of the people that she has to deal with and I can see how it can be a challenge and I think she's doing the best that she can for dollar tacos.
