I ordered takeout so can't speak on the dine-in experience I tried the lamb taco, fish taco, chips and medium salsa w/ a side of habanero queso, and a horchata. The flavor of the horchata was good; it tasted a bit watered down but that's on me for not picking up my food immediately. The tacos were filled generously with meat and toppings, and both were super yummy with the accompanying salsas. The chips were thin which is my preference with tortilla chips. The staff were extremely friendly, the food was very reasonably priced, and the menu had plenty of vegetarian options to choose from, especially exceptional was the fact that each of their vegetarian options were unique and didn't just put avocado/quac as the star of every choice (which as a vegetarian who's allergic to avocado I am eternally thankful for). I ordered the tater tot taco, the veggie lovers taco, and the migas chilauquiles taco and I thoroughly enjoyed all of them minus the migas chilauquiles taco, which I think could've been a hit if I had added salsa or hot sauce to it. Stopped in to celebrate cinco de mayo with friends. They had great specials for the day. The mango frozen margarita took long enough that we had all the food out first. But it was good flavor. Not too sweet. As shown, the elite is definitely not what their social media was advertising. It had a good flavor behind it but wish it was a larger portion. I haven't been to Tacos A Go Go in years, and now I am not only remembering it fondly, but also determined to support it more. What's cool is it's near Double Trouble and Sig's Lagoon--so one could make an afternoon or early evening out of visiting these different establishments. I just wanted a beef fajita taco and bought a chicken quesadilla for a family member. The taco was great and so were the salsas--my favorite, as always, being salsa verde. I went to Tacos a go go with a friend based on strong recommendations from another friend who lives in Houston and it was a big hit. We got a breakfast taco, horchata, beef birria tacos, and a trio of carne asada, carnitas, and (I think) refried beans tacos. Everything was so good! We sat outside for the weather and really enjoyed our time there. There was a bit of a wait for the food but good food takes time and staff were polite. I think the pricing is reasonable and my friends and I usually get full off of just two tacos. - Pollo Guisado (1.5/5): I always forget I don't like this taco and accidentally order it because it is listed as "A taco you must eat before you die". Personally, I don't understand the hype and I always regret ordering it. I find it to be very dry and lacking in flavor. Chicken tacos are usually dry in general, so I'm not too up in arms about that, but the flavor is just so weak. I feel like all I'm tasting is the tortilla when I'm eating it. - Pastor Taco (4/5): Tacos A Go Go makes a pretty solid pastor taco. Their pastor taco is very juicy and has a good tangy flavor. I like how they double-layer the tortilla so that the sauces don't seep through and make a mess. Overall just a pretty solid pastor taco. Service/Ambiance: This is a chill sit-down place to get tacos. It's never too crowded and there's plenty of seating. The restaurant is also very nicely decorated, which creates a really fun ambiance. I felt like the Pastor could've had more meat inside considering it was the most expensive out of our order, it was delicious though. Full of flavor. Having ordered Tacos A Go Go for takeout after a rather long and fun night out I found some great things: the friendly staff that was super knowledgeable, placing my order was a breeze and I loved how each taco came individually labeled as this made it super simple in knowing which was what. So why only three stars? Let's take a look- While service was stellar the food was a bit hit and miss TBH. The chips and queso (add guacamole) were top tier. They were fresh, hot, delicious. This item really hit the spot! The tacos on the other hand, while hot and fresh weren't overly delicious. I had three various tacos all on whole wheat tortilla and I would personally avoid the whole wheat tortillas in the future as they were gummy and flavorless. The tacos were filled to the brim which I really appreciated and when I went from eating each item taco style to employing the assistance of a fork the meal improved. The fillings were also hot and fresh but a bit under-seasoned and bland. They required salt for sure but this wasn't anything that some of the incredible queso could fix...or at the very least cover-up. I also loved the green salsa as it added a nice fresh kick to the tacos. Could I find myself ordering/visiting Tacos A Go Go again? Possibly! There was a lot of good happening here: service, chips, queso, salsa. If I do visit again I would deff avoid the whole wheat tortillas and go for a standard flour tortilla as well as having salt and pepper on standby. Breakfast tacos here come with eggs + two fillings, and my go to combo is the bacon and refried beans. For lunch, my favorite taco is the pastor. This comes with sliced pork fajita marinated in their guajillo, morita, & ancho chile sauce, along with onions and pineapple. I also really like the barbacoa.
