I only come here to get the Fish tacos!!! My usual is the Number 1 combo: 2 fried fish tacos with everything on it, rice and beans with 1 drink. They have a side cart of goodies. I would get their limes and yellow pepper to eat with my tacos. The fish tacos are so good! Love the Crema, cabbage, pico de gallo and fried fish are together on two pieces of tortilla. It has the crunch from the fried fish and cabbage, the acidity from squeezing the lime to cut the oiliness and the pico de gallo for more kick and flavor and the creaminess and tang from the crema. I love the rice with lima beans, peas and carrots ans their refried beans I believe and man I mix and eat these together and it soooo comforting and good!! Best fish tacos in town!! Only have tried the fish tacos on their weekly special, but I would say they are definitely worth it. For $1 a taco, cant get better than that. Nicely fried fish piece, not to greasy, cabbage topping with their house sauce, pretty delicious. The jalapeño sides are a pretty nice touch as well. Be prepared to wait if you show up on peak times, not a knock on them, just realize they have a following and worth the wait. I would reccomend this place even though I have not tried other items. Service has always been friendly the place is one of the cleaner spots to eat, pre covid. read more

Came on a Friday evening and ordered 8 fish tacos and 1 coctel de camarón it was $39 and change. When I got my food I asked for salsa and was only given two. I asked for ONE more and was told it would be 50¢ for any extra. So you're telling me I just paid nearly $40 and I only get 2 salsas for 8 tacos, really?! Walked in today and ordered 4 shrimp cocktails 6 shrimp tacos and a shrimp quesadilla ... $62.00 and 20 minutes later I wished I never unintentionally sabotaged my stomach or the people I got food for. Now everyone is pissed and holding there stomachs like I meant to make them feel this way.. Wow. This place has gone downhill on the cleanliness and the B healthcare proves it. I have been patronizing this business for about 7 years and even recommended it to family and coworkers. I stopped by today after a few months of not coming. The place is filthy which is of great concern for any restaurant, but in my opinion more so for one that handles raw seafood. I had limes, peppers and carrots from the salsa bar. within minutes of eating my meal my stomache went nuts. I didn't even make it home. The minute I walk in I see a MESS. The floors are dirty with food and trash and napkins pretty much all over. It's about 2:30 pm in the afternoon. My table was dirty too with salt and old dirty napkins. I ordered number 2 that comes with two shrimp tacos with rice and beans. This food is really really good. I love their beans. The beans are so creamy. The shrimp tacos are huge and the batter is so crispy. They top it off with this creamy cabbage with tomato and red onion. The horchata is super delishes. I ordered the pineapple drink this time and it tasted fresh and spot on refreshing. It's my favorite dish. I love the fish tacos too. It's always busy here and it's because the food is great. Just a tip: order the salsa it's a dark orange color and really good. The parking isn't the best. It's small and during busy times you will have a hard time finding a parking. The lady that helped take our order had such an attitude. I just want to not that but probably she is overworked. They don't have enough people working here. It's not the lady's fault she wasn't pleasant but the thing is that she doesn't have any help. The lines are long. There are a lot of people who come through here. Ate here for the first time after driving by so many times. Have to say... my expectations were exceeded. As a resident of El Sereno, I'm never short of delicious Mexican eateries to chose from. But Whittier has got another jewel to add in their delicious-food-crown! Ordered the fish tacos and the shrimp quesadilla (included in the photos), and they were top notch! The quesadilla came as a plate with beans, rice, and side salad, but between the two of us, there was too much to eat to even get into the rice and salad. The queso melted in your mouth and complimented the shrimp very well. Not sure if the tortillas were hand-made for the fish tacos, but they tasted like they could've been. Very yummy! I know what it feels like to work in customer service so I ALWAYS come correct and respectful. But some of these women that work here especially the older one w black hair didn't get her name was and is very rude. I asked for a salsa and when i was going to grab from her she said ill put it in the bag and understandable because of covid but she threw it in the bag very rude. I ordered in person and they forgot or misplaced my order. I waited for thirty minutes and once I checked in again I waited an additional twenty. I understand the location is busy but a fifth minute wait and an order being misplaced doesn't make the best appearance. Additionally when I asked them to replace the drinks that had been sitting their for fifty minutes and people had been touching them and rotating them (amidst a pandemic) the quarries said "oh my god" as if it was a burden to replace three drinks (tops a minute task). The food was cold and bland. Staff were not wearing gloves handling money and food. And social distancing wasn't enforced with more than 15 people within the confines of that really small fast food restaurant. Overall wouldn't recommend. read more

So I call, a lady answers and I ask to place a phone order she then asks if it's the correct location Whittier and Painter. I said yes then she puts me on hold. I was on hold for 8 mins and then she disconnects on me. I then walk over to the store and it wasn't even busy. I asked who was I speaking to and both girls denied answering my phone call and said the phone never rang. So I was like "ok so I called the wrong number?" I then call the number again and THEIR PHONE RANG! One of the girls walked away while I was talking to her and flat out ignored me and the other one was rude and disrespectful af!
