Welp, I do enjoy tacos Baja. But today I was a bit grossed out. Because the shredded lettuce in my fish taco had a piece of a stainless steel scrubber in my food. I almost swallowed it, but thankfully it felt weird and I spit it out. Please please please look carefully at your surroundings before you pack peoples food. Rushing when there is a line is not worth it. Anyway, please do better. read more

Excellent food, service, and overall great time. The restaurant wasn't super packed but it was tidy. Dropped by with my gal pals after a hike at turnbull and we ordered a large ceviche de Cameron, a medium Coctel de camaron and 3 fish tacos with rice and beans, we had no idea how much food we ordered! The prices were very reasonable, the amount of food was generous. I left with lunch for the next day. The staff were very friendly. We mentioned we were sharing the ceviche and they made us 3 separate plates with tostadas so we didn't have to split it up ourselves. Older lady at the register wearing the mask is extremely rude. I asked for limes with my hundred dollars worth of seafood that I purchased and she gave me attitude saying whatever is out is what we have. I said I understand that you have nothing out all I'm asking for is Leynes rolled her eyes gave me attitude said we're busy slammed her little iPad down had a whole attitude over me asking for limes for ceviche Just because you're busy doesn't give you a right to treat your customers like crap. What a sleeper of a spot. I don't know why it has a 3.7 but the service and general vibe of the spot was great. They were patient with our long order and food came out quickly. One of the workers was singing to music playing and my family liked that vibe to the restaurant. Their fish tacos take the edge over even taco nazo in my opinion-- their tortillas don't break apart and the pricing is better for about the same size tacos. Once again, I cannot stress enough. How delicious this restaurant is and how affordable it is as well. My go-to's are always the fish tacos with everything on them. The fish is so crispy and the middle is so nice and hot. If you crave fish tacos. This is a place to go. The guys that are at the front are really kind and the ones that give you the food are kind as well. Just really good professional service. This location is relatively new for them, and it's really nicely decorated and it has a huge green TV with Latin music playing. The prices are affordable, and my family and I go all the time, and I've introduced all my friends to it as well. The foods not bad. Barbacoa is pretty good but I've been trying to get a torta for over six months and they ALWAYS say they dont have the bread. Parking can be a little of a issue , small parking lot . But with the wait ! Service is pretty quick , and the prices are super affordable!! Seem they haven't gone up like every where else . If you want attitude from the women up front, come here. Other than that stay away from this place, you walk in and she has a stank attitude. Screaming and yelling upset that shes gotta do her job. Terrible. No customer service. Places says it closes at 7pm, with multiple people in their lobby saying "I'm only doing mobile orders." Avoid this place at all cost. I first learned about Tacos Baja from the East LA branch om Whittier Blvd. Was randomly passing by when I spotted this location and decided to give them a try. Definitely a hole-on-the-wall kinda place that totally needs an uplift in the cleaning department, but the food is delicious. Purchased combo #1 plus an horchata and a Jamaica. The fish tacos were very flavorful. Loved the warm tortillas and the chiles hueros!!! The rice and beans were just ok. Would return for fish tacos and will try other menu items. The waters were over sweetened but most people like their drinks with this amount or even more sugar. Personally I diluted my drinks in half to deal with the excess. Definitely a spot to check out if you can overlook the grime and is down for a good bite. read more

We were in Whittier driving around looking for tacos. After striking out at our first stop we decided to give this place a shot. The place is clean and the shrimp looked fresh. The cashier was very friendly and welcomed us in. They do not have and Coke in the fountain drinks. On the plus side. They do sell Mexican Coke in the bottle:). The fish and shrimp tacos were okay just a little heavy on the batter. The food tasted fresh and not frozen.i do have my favorite, go to, fish taco spot.here in the South Bay Area. I used to go to school in Whittier and Tacos Baja was a staple for their $1 tacos on one of the days of the week. I've eaten here so much over those years that I crave the fish tacos and the spiced pepper on the side into my adulthood. Every single time it's perfectly cooked and tender with the perfect amount of toppings. I try and get fish tacos here every time I come back and will continue to for every visit. They did forget to get me one of my tacos and I just let the counter know and they got me another one. My friend also got the ceviche and it is great. read more

After over 10 years of enjoying Tacos Baja on Whittier Blvd, today we finally have to say no more. We've eaten our last here as each time we've come over the past 4 years the experience has lost its draw. Today when we found the actual fish in the taco was the size of a human finger wrapped in more batter than anyone would want we finally said no more. I get here 1 hour before closing time and the lady at the register yelling angrily loud "I'm not taking any more orders!!!" With only 2 people in line ahead of me. I've driven here 2-3 times 30 mins-1 hour before the listed closing time and they already have the signs up that they are closed wasting my time and gas driving here . Yeah I do like tacos Baja for their fish and shrimp tacos and ceviche when I'm on the go. This location is always packed and I wish they took phone orders so I can come and pickup my order and split but they never answer their phones so I always have to place my order at that location which is bothersome. The parking lot is always full and so your best bet is to park a couple of stores down on Whittier Blvd on the street. Watch out for fast moving cars when exiting your vehicle. If you dine in there are no refills for your soda so don't gulp it down before you finish your meal. The tables were dirty as people ate and left.
