This review is a bit overdue (had our event in March for my son's birthday party) but it's still worth writing despite the time that has elapsed. First, my fiance, was the one coordinating and communicating with Erick. But we both loved the options he had to offer as well as his communication. He was really quick to respond via text and even offered additional videos and pictures of his table set-up & options to be able to choose what was best for us and ultimately choose to move forward with him based on that. On the day of the event (it was drizzly and gloomy) but his worker showed up on time, actually earlier than we expected so he can set-up. He was super friendly and nice. Come time for service he was all ready to go. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the food and the options available. At the end of service, we had a few people come late to the party and he was willingly to stay a little bit later, to ensure all our guests were fed! It was so nice and very much appreciated. We were told they would arrive at 2 pm to start prepping the food and would serve from 4:30-6:30 (our party started at 4pm) They did not arrive until 4:15 and complained that they would like MORE shade for their area. The food was not ready to be served until 5:30 yet they still left at their scheduled time at 6:30. For $1,200 I expected a lot more professionalism. We were told they would serve food for 2 hours yet only received one hour of service. Also the food did not match the price, for example the asada had a grayish color from being overcrowded while cooking and lacked seasoning. Ended up with a lot of leftover since our guest did not like the tacos. Long story short I would highly discourage taco bravo. read more

After several searches we decided to go with Tacos Bravo for our baby shower Memorial Weekend. We finally had a celebration of life for my Dad. It's what he wanted ... people together telling stories, sharing hugs, and enjoying each other. Taco Bravo catered my sister's baby shower last weekend and I was extremely happy with the entire experience. Leading up to the event, Eric was friendly and super responsive whenever I texted him with questions. On the day of the event, his staff (Lily and Kerwin) showed up early to set up and had the food ready to serve by the agreed upon time. They were very friendly as well. The food was fresh and delicious and all the guests went back for seconds and thirds lol! When the 2hr serving period was over, the ladies packed up the food for me so that we could take the leftovers home. (I ate leftovers for like 4 days lol). Taquero was late, and rushing when he arrived, but he make up for the time, for reference I booked my event 2 months in advance. The tacos were good , but Taquero didn't had the oil/ grasita for the tortillas and that makes a big difference in tacos!! My mistake for not asking in advance if they use oil/gracita for the tortillas. Salsas were good! Overall, was good and the Taquero very polite. ERIK IS A CROOK! We hired him to cater my uncle's funeral reception. He took a deposit to cater the reception with the balance being due AT the event. During the actual burial, this man contacts us and insists that we pay him in full immediately or else! We're in the middle of burying my uncle and this POS thought it was wise to add more stress to an already stressful situation. We responded that we would pay in accordance with our agreement...AT THE RECEPTION. After the burial, guests started arriving at the hall for the reception, but they couldn't get in because Erik HaD The KeYs! When we reached him he told us that he left the keys at the deceased's house in an altogether different city! Now we have guests waiting, many being very elderly when it was in the 50's out and no way to get them in the hall, let alone feed them! We had to improvise quickly. We since found out that he took our deposit, flaked on the event and posted to his FB about how successful he was at Ohlone college! A professional isn't going to double book unless they have the means to support more than one event. A professional would have canceled properly and with notice instead of demanding payment for services never rendered. A professional would apologize profusely, refund the deposit, and try to make amends. This guy did none of the above! read more

I had their catering cart come to my home for my baby shower over the weekend. They arrived early and had everything all set up and ready to go by lunch. The tacos were delicious (we had chicken, beef and vegetarian). They provided all the toppings we needed. They also did an excellent job cleaning up afterward and there was nothing for us to do besides put away the tables they requested. We did have to ask them to move their grill from where they originally set up because it was blocking the path of travel but they readily did so and it worked out really well! read more

Tacos Irresponsables The owner is unprofessional, rude, irresponsible, a liar, and not prompt in communication. He cancelled 2 days before the event because he "made a mistake im fully booked that day and cant take your event." Well, I called him and admitted he actually cancelled on me for other reasons (my request for vegetarian option for 3 adults and 2kids. The owner proceeded to argue and try to justify why it was okay to cancel last minute. His response to my review just proves his unprofessionalism.
