We were looking forward to having some Carnitas which are only offered Fri-Sun. Unfortunately, it was not the same as usual. The meat was very lean and dry some of the burnt parts were crispy. Can't believe I'm actually putting up a review , but this place sucks so bad I had to. Ordered a carne asada burrito simplest thing could ever make not exactly a mystery if you dwell deep into the culinary arts basically one step above a microwave Lincoln Log. What I got was a sad mix of ground up pale and a lot of places I'm calling it meat to be kind. Ok so it sucked, not a big deal ill just ask for another or my money back, obviuosly had 2 bites and i just ordered, manager came out and b4 i said anything he said "oh you shouldn't have eaten it i cant give you a refund." I wasnt stunned at the pre recorded message he had ready to deflect but the fact he actually stood there and tried to convince me that what i was holding was carne asada. I couldnt, almost 20 bucks for this and finally he said if you wanted Asada you should have ordered Asada. That was all i could listen to. I said ok, well you can keep this its garbage. Great spot for Mexican food. It has the authentic Mexican taste, I wasn't expecting it from a taco place on the mall. It definitely caught me by surprise. We got nachos, tacos and a torta. Between the asada and the al pastor meat, I personally enjoyed the al pastor. It has the traditional adobo and pineapple flavor, a big reason for the five stars. This place is a gem tucked away in a very early 00's esque shopping mall! The tacos are flavorful and very authentic-such a good place to stop for cheap food on the go. You can be full for under $10 easily! Thankful for the growth of the Hispanic population in Wenatchee. It's providing a lot better food variety, thank goodness. It can be hard to find enough places to eat in this town! Really wish we had this place in Seattle!!! read more

very bad experience with the way they serve ordered 3 burritos and two kids meals that are served with beans and rice and two tacos. Well 2 tacos were missing.... and for the burritos well I wouldn't consider them burritos cause not only were they not rolled properly but there is barely any meat, it was more like a bunch of food on a tortilla. And to top it off the burritos had no beans nor cream. And why I'm making this review cause I'm Mexican and I paid 44$ for food that was missing and not made properly. read more

Been coming here for years and have never gotten sick. Food is always cooked well, service is great, and they have authentic al pastor tacos. They also have a salsa bar and veggie bar which I love because most places are stingy on toppings. Simple recipes (not overpowered in flavor), make this mall-based joint an excellent getaway for all things cheap dates. There are no sit-down menus, just an order at the register type of deal. Even then, unless you're familiar with the vast array of Mexican dishes, ordering is sort of intimidating. How will it be prepared? What do they put in it? I'll make it simple for you! Have your average single ordered tacos served on a styrofoam plate, (as with all dishes). A Lechero for example, which is just another fancy way of saying grilled quesadilla, comes accompanied by overcooked onions and a grilled jalapeño. Supposedly, a local favorite?! The flavors are basic, but luckily...there are a great selection of self-serve sauces to heighten the dishes. Tacos Chava, has $1.00 refills on fountain drink Coke products, so save your drinks till your food arrives at your table. This place, located inside the mall, is amazing!!! 100% authentic Mexican food..you know it's bound to be good food when you pass by and 99% of the time it's elderly Mexican couples that are dining! :) We were a little hesitant to eat here at first, because of the location, but thank goodness we did..we now eat here often. I love eating here when I'm visiting the mall. Every time I've gone the food has been fantastic. The only thing that's really stood out to me that was odd- They had a manger setup with no baby Jesus but the devil was sitting in the corner. Super weird to see, but the food is great. I use to work for Macy's in the Wenatchee valley mall. Not only did the Chava's employees shop with me from time to time, pleasantly. They also performed great customer service of their own, anytime I ate at their restaurant! I moved away 10 months ago, and recently returned to Wenatchee. Yesterday while at the mall I decided to go back to tacos Chava for old times sake, and like any other time I've eaten there I received the best service. The cashier even remembered me, and asked if I'd be returning to Macy's. I am a local chef and I was recommended to try Taco Chava by our mutual linen vendor (I'm told they have an impeccably clean kitchen as well). I love authentic Mexican food for its freshness and the bold and vibrant flavors. Taco Chava did not disappoint. I particularly enjoyed their salsa Chipotle and the Mexican rice, excellent flavor profiles. The refried beans were a not bad either but lacked distinction. My friend and I stopped in here on way home from Chelan/Stehekin at the Entiat location (no Yelp site for this one). I got the carnitas and was surprised to have some of the best Mexican food I've had outside of Mexico (I have worked in Chiapas). Affordable, quick, tan delicioso!!!! This is the real deal.
