Chose this truck based off all the great reviews "best in Wenatchee..." I was craving lengua tacos. Unfortunately the meat was pretty bland. I was thinking it but my husband said it and he doesn't complain about anything so that's saying a lot. Kind of skimpy on the toppings (very little onions and cilantro etc). El Tapatio Taco Truck has great street tacos. I usually get the Adobado and they are NOT greasy! The customer service is great and I never wait more than 5 minutes if there isn't a line. I recommend El Tapatio over many other stop & grab Mexican food places. read more

Covid update- Open for take out and sit down during covid So upon coming back from our camping trip we were hungry. But since we just rushed to get out and deal with food later we decided to just see what was offered nearby as we were driving. El Tapatio Taco Truck came up and had excellent reviews so we were excited because there's never not a time for some good Mexican food breakfast/ lunch or dinner. This place was pretty easy to find and though it was a food truck they offered shaded outdoor dining which was a plus. Service was fast and they were very nice so for service I'd give them a 5/5. We ordered a quesadilla with carne asada and the burrito plate with carne asada for our boys. While I ordered sopes with carne asada and my husband went with the norm- tacos with carne asada and we also ordered some horchata. Now I have to say the portions were a good size and prices weren't too bad for those 4 entrees and 4 drinks we paid $50 something so it was a steal. The horchata had really good flavor though I prefer mine a little creamier. My oldest loved his burrito plate so much he actually said he wants to drive back here to get more food one day. Now for the sopes and tacos for my husband and I they were just ok. I think the biggest thing was the carne asada lacked flavor and my husband was kind of bummed the tacos weren't true Mexican street food tacos... they had cheese and salad on them which is not needed ever. I wanted to love this place because of the reviews and was so excited check it out but for my husband and I flavors were not developed enough to come back. read more

The best taco truck in WENATCHEE! Seriously didn't get better than this place we have been coming here for my whole life (21) years and it's never disappointed. Just make sure to pay with cash because the credit card companies will charge you a card fee. Not the business fault. read more

Excellent taco plate! The meat was very flavorful and the tortillas weren't soggy. The fresh cilantro was very flavorful, too. The fried jalapeno that came with the taco plate was excellent - well seasoned, delicious, and very nice texture. Not sure if they were fried, boiled and lightly fried, etc. But they were delicious regardless. read more

When I lived in East Wenatchee my best friend and I would cross the river quite often to go to this truck for tacos and Jarritos sodas. I live in LaPaz,BCS,Mexico now [ since Sept. 2016 ] so I do not get to go to EL TAPATIO unless I visit friends and family in Washington state. This is definitely the best taco truck around. I would usually get the Asada tacos but once in awhile a lengua taco would be added. I miss the many different flavors of the Jarritos soda they have. Here in LaPaz I can usually only find Pina,Fruit Punch or Tamarindo. The Pina flavor is the only one I will buy. At EL TAPATIO I would buy a Mandarina,limon,pina or whatever tasty flavor they had. The gals working the window are awesome and even laughed with me with my gringo accented Spanish. Oh yeah, the grilled Jalapeno's are very tasty but beware---- one day they will be mild and a different day they will blow your top off,jajaja. It makes for a day of laughter watching to see who gets a hot one! Yes, I get to eat excellent tacos here in Mexico but they are usually the Camaron [shrimp] tacos. Do not wait another day ! Easy access, fast and clean plus great food. Swung in on a weekday afternoon, and was out in under 30 minutes, full and happy. Great lengua and cabeza tacos, and the rest of the menu looks good, too. Definitely a proper taco truck (plus a covered and enclosed dining area out of the sun) and worth a try. read more

When I visit my hometown of Wenatchee, WA there is nothing that excites me more than visiting the best taco truck. El Tapatio has everything a person seeking tacos could want. A shelter to sit under that is solid so my tacos and onions aren't blowing away, smooth and refreshing tasting horchata that is creamy and thirst quenching and also amazing Asada tacos with the right bite. My family got Chile Relleno and a taco salad and the portions were huge! Price was right and tasted great you can't go wrong! read more

My family and I have been coming here for many years. I would come grab lunch here when I was in high school and after moving out of town I would always be sure to stop back and grab some super tacos and a burrito when visiting home. This is the place where I introduced my wife to taco trucks and good authentic Mexican food. We just moved back to the area and this was the first place we stopped to grab lunch after getting moved. Now we have 3 boys and they love eating here also. There are a lot of locals and people that grew up here that have similar stories about this taco truck, that should tell you all you need to know about this place and whether it's worth giving a try. read more

When I came to this Taco truck for the first time 3 years ago I expected it to be the same as all the other taco trucks in Wenatchee, just something quick and cheap to grab when your in a hurry. Nope, its fresh and cooked perfect. I couldn't believe you could get taco truck food this good and for a small price. We go here here for dinner at least once a week! She has the Asada Torte and I have the Pollo Tostada. Add a little Salsa Verde for just a little spice and its Nirvana. read more

Really not sure why this place has so few reviews... Anyways... Everyone here in Wenatchee knows this as the place to go! Despite the lack of reviews, the tacos are amazing! What else can I say... the salsas are fresh and SUPER spicy, and if you eat in the outdoor covered space, it's unlimited salsa! The tacos themselves- delicious! I especially love the tripas (tripe) here; if you don't like tripe in general or any "gross" food, I don't recommend it. BUT, if you do, and you tend to like tripe, I HIGHLY recommend it! Adobada- not greasy, and delicious. Steak- okay, but I recommend a different meat (but I also recommend a different meat than steak at most places) Have tried many different things, but overall, everything is fantastic. Food comes out very fast and hot, with great salsas (without asking)! There is a reason there is often a line at this taco truck. Overall, this is the best place to eat authentic Mexican food in Wenatchee. The food is very delicious, fast, and cheap (compared to Americanized Mexican restaurants). read more

Perfectly fine but not a hurry back. Really nice people took our order and the front display of sodas etc was really nice. Liked that they have a covered place to sit and eat but, honestly we just were not impressed. The covered place to eat was close to filthy. The salsa bottles the same. We had tacos and they were just fine but can't say we will hurry back unless we happen to be in the neighborhood and very hungry and in a hurry. read more
