Chicken Quesadilla
Steve A.

This is a nicely appointed restaurant in the old Keke's space next to the newly redone Publix in Metrowest. This area has needed a sit-down Mexican restaurant since Taquitos Jalisco closed in the same shopping center more than a decade ago. The menu is fairly extensive, and offers some authentic preparations such as Pastor, Mole, and even a Molcajete. We tried the queso, the chicken quesadilla, and the pastor tacos. Everything was fine, but seemed rather under seasoned and certainly underspiced. The meal includes complimentary tortilla chips and a very mild salsa. The standout was the house margarita. I don't think I've ever had a better margarita, even at twice the price. Lunch pricing seems reasonable. Our server was probably on her first day, but the kitchen was having no trouble, so I'm sure they'll do well.

The complementary chips and salsa were a surprise. We arrived at opening time on a Tuesday and the chips were stale, so obviously from the day before at least. The salsa was good, but mild and herb heavy. My house margaritas were really strong. My grilled fish tacos were really good. My husband ordered his Carne Asada medium rare and he could hardly eat it because it was so raw. Our waitress was horrible. The entire time we were in the restaurant there was only three other tables and plus one other waiter and a bartender. So three staff and three tables in over one hour. My husband asked for a refill on his soda twice before it was brought then ended up drinking most of my water because the waitress that never came back to ask if he wanted another refill. I had to go to the bar to get a second margarita because the waitress didn't come back to ask if I wanted another drink. We would definitely not return and I would be shocked if they're open in a year. They also charged me $10 for my margaritas even though their advertisement on the front window said $7 all day Tuesdays. My husband only noticed on our way out and I was so over it by that time we left I didn't care. This place is horrible.

Finally a fantastic Mexican restaurant in my backyard in a lovely setting! Everything was so delicious - tacos de bistec and the molcajete were just mouth watering. The house marg was a good size and did the trick! Our waiter, was hospitable and courteous. We will definitely be back.

Sopes with chicken- my husband's favorite!

Amazing food, great service and ambience in this Metro West location. My second time there with my husband and it did not disappoint. I can't wait to go back to have the lunch specials that are featured Monday through Friday. This is a great place to take a group of people. I'll call ahead and have them set up the tables for us so they'll be ready when we arrive. I'm sure everyone will enjoy their food and the specialties of this amazing restaurant.

I visited Kavas on a Saturday for brunch and overall had a great experience. Their brunch is…read moreoffered Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM and includes bottomless margaritas for two hours. The margaritas were a pleasant surprise. They were full sized, available in several flavors, and absolutely delicious. I would return for those alone. One of the highlights of my visit was the mariachi band, which brought a fun and lively energy to brunch. I ordered the School Tacos and enjoyed them, especially the queso and sauce that came with them. My waitress, whose name started with a "G," was a gem. She was attentive, friendly, and always checking to see if I was ready for my next margarita. The only issue I encountered was confusion surrounding the bottomless margarita promotion. When I first arrived, the host was unable to answer questions about the two hour offer and had to get a manager for clarification. Later in my visit, another server incorrectly informed me that I could no longer order margaritas because brunch hours had ended, despite management already confirming that I would be able to enjoy the full two hours since I arrived before brunch ended. Thankfully, the manager on duty quickly resolved the issue and honored what had originally been communicated. While I think there is an opportunity for better staff training regarding this advertised menu item, it was not enough to ruin an otherwise enjoyable experience. Between the margaritas, live entertainment, attentive service, and fun atmosphere, I still had a great time and would gladly return for brunch.

I came for drinks and sat at the bar. We ordered 2 Fortaleza Blanco (not still strength) Tequila…read moreneat. I noticed that when a manager (I assume) saw the Fortaleza bottle he rushed over to the bartender and had a side conversation about it while looking over at us. When the bill came, I was told that we were being charged for 3 drinks rather than 2 because he gave us each 2oz pours (standard neat, but maybe he didn't know that) and was being "nice" by not charging 4 drinks. Because they were already having side conversation about it, I knew this wasn't a battle I'd win. So I paid, tipped 25% and left, but I was definitely going to leave a review. Just know going here, they will charge whatever they want for drinks and make up rules. I paid $75 for 2 drinks. I won't be back. Adding on due to the reply. The person that replied to my review was not there during my service and is lying. Neither me or the gentleman with me asked for anything other than the tequila neat, we did however have conversation about our visit to the Fortaleza Distillery in Jalisco and how they pride themselves on businesses they sell to not overcharging for their tequila. Fortaleza was NOT listed in your menu, we saw it on the shelf and asked for it neat. As a bartender NEAT is a known pour. Please don't disrespect me by making things up. As I already stated, we simply asked for clarification which is what I added in my review, paid, tipped 25% and left. A reply from the business was unnecessary, this review is for other bar goers.

All made with love and you can seriously tell how much pride this business takes in each and every dish they put out. My husband and I got the skinny margaritas, had a few shots, and the best food. I could drown myself in their refried beans. Shout out to Jesus who has always taken such great care of us every time we've visited since they've opened. This place is so laid back, a great place to come to yap with friends. I love Adelitas so much and cannot wait to see where their next location takes them.

The fajitas came out without the sizzle of the skillet (disappointing but not a deal breaker) and the chipotle chicken was overly salty. I would have gladly let my server know the food was too salty, but unfortunately they nearly completley absent our entire dining experience. We love the table salsa and could not find them in the restaurant to ask for more until our food was delivered. But after that, we never saw them again. It wasn't until the bartender noticed us looking, that we were able to ask for our check. There was maybe 4 tables in the restaurant during this time and 0 staff presence.
