This used to be my favorite spot. Lately they've been off their game. Would recommend it all day long. Might still would but ya'll crazy out of pocket for serving me a burrito full of french fries like this.

New spot they are parked at!

They have moved the food truck!!! NEW ADDRESS is 1679 myrtle ave!!!! (In the parking lot of Chevron) Amazing food, so flavorful! We got a super burrito which was so big it could feed 2! I also got regular tacos which were so fresh and good and also a super taco was loaded with cheese salsa sour cream and beans! So yummy. I love this place and I hope people go to their new location and support them !

    Nope nope and nope.

I asked for a Carne asada burritos and got this monstrosity. All the other filler was there but what little meat they used was tough and fatty. Not worth it.

Amazing food! Wow! I have been picking at the different food places around here since I moved here a few months ago and while I thought I found a winner last week, today topped that one! The truck has changed from the photos a little bit same menu etc. the truck is located on Broadway across from the theater. There's ample parking at the truck and the service is super fast. Now... let's talk food. I had a shrimp burrito that I swear tasted like it came off mi familias grill right to my mouth. It tasted like home. Flavors mi abuela used to conjure up. The carne asada super burrito? Just as tasty and they were both the size of small babies. I could tell by the weight alone when they handed me the bag. Bonus- each burrito came with chips and salsa. Now I didn't think I could eat it all... it looked like two meals in one but it was THAT good and before I knew it... I was full. And it was gone. Just like that! Definitely stop by and grab some burritos or tacos. You won't be disappointed.

New location, it's a little hidden, but still all so worth it!!! Happy El Gallo was able to relocate and find a spot especially closer to my job haha *don't forget to ask for your tripas extra crispy!!

Mission style burritos in the Northern California Lost Coast...WINNING! I had chatted with some locals and asked their opinion on Mexican food trucks and they recommended this place which was precariously placed in the back of a gas station parking lot. I thought that the burrito was the best option due to its size but then I was limited to one meat so I guess I need to return to try the chicken. I got the carne asada as its typically a good choice anywhere. Burrito only took about 3 minutes to make and decided to hangout at the table under the canopy and eat there. I believe that the burrito was made then grilled as the tortilla would indicate as much. Everything was delicious; meat was salted nicely, rice was soft, beans were definitely made with lard. And for the price of $7.50 this was my lunch and dinner. Just wish they had more salsa options other than the red I received.

Listen. I'm new to the area and about to eat my way through this entire place, so stay tuned. I'm starting with tacos. Because tacos. This truck was clean and quick. Our tacos were really good, loved the addition of grilled green onions. They were a little on the spendy side for street tacos - but being newly aquatinted with the rent in this area, I get it. The taco prices. Not the rent. I'll definitely be back and am looking forward to see how the other taco trucks in the area stack up.

Delicious Homemade Mexican Food--The Perfect Post-Hike Meal!…read more We came here for dinner after a long day of hiking in the redwoods and were so glad we did, as the food was incredibly tasty and satisfying. Oaxaca Grill is a wonderful, family-run restaurant in downtown Eureka, operated by the parents, Carmen and Tony, and their daughter, Yuri. Carmen is the main chef, and you can truly taste the care she puts into making amazing homemade Mexican food. The ambiance is casual and cozy. We were traveling as two families and easily found tables on a Tuesday evening for an early dinner. The main dishes completely hit the spot: * Garlicky Soft Prawn Tacos: My wife ordered these, which were served with sautéed onions, fresh garlic, and the most amazing, flavorful mango salsa on the side. * Spicy Oaxaca Chicken Mole: I got this special dish, which featured a tender chicken breast topped with authentic, spicy Oaxacan mole. This mole is savory, rich, and incredibly flavorful, made from thirty imported Oaxacan ingredients. It came served with yummy rice and beans. * Prawn Soft Tacos: We also ordered these, and they were fantastic, paired with a crisp jicama coleslaw. * Kids' Dishes: Our children ordered from the children's plate options. My son got the chicken enchiladas, which came with fries and beans, and he absolutely loved it. My daughter had the cheese and bean burrito, which she really enjoyed as well. * Desserts: To wrap up the meal, we tried the coconut flan and the crème brûlée. Both were a sweet end to the night, and the crème brûlée in particular was absolutely amazing. Overall, it was a fantastic, comforting dining experience with wonderful hospitality. If you are in downtown Eureka, this family-run spot is highly recommended!

Parking was street parking and easy to find. We were seated right away, and service was great! We ordered a carnitas burrito and a few pastor tacos. I'm still all about the chile relleno burrito so the last time we went I ordered one with carne asada and it was literally the burrito of my dreams. This time when we went inside I noticed a hand written sign above the cash register that said "The Raliberto" which was basically my chile relleno burrito plus carne asada, so I ordered it. I cut it in half, took a picture this time and noticed it wasn't the same, it had cheddar cheese instead of that delicious white cheese the relleno comes with, and I don't think the poblano was battered and fried, it was just a plain pepper that was stuffed with cheese- it was still very tasty just not the burrito of my dreams. I'm thinking since it was a special, they may have run out of the regular rellenos or perhaps they were cutting costs but next time I'll just stick with the regular chile relleno burrito. We also picked up an order of their other special, carne asada rolled tacos, which definitely don't need the added carne asada because guacamole is all them tasty suckers need but we snarfed it all down. I don't know when we'll be driving through again but this is a really solid spot that I'll always think of fondly.

They also have Guatemalan items for sale over at the register. I decided to go for the garnachas, which is a Guatemalan street food, similar to a sope. These were like little mini sopes. . The corn masa cake base was delicious, and it was not over fried. The ground beef was seasoned very well, the veggies gave it a nice pop of freshness. The cheese was great, and I especially loved the sauce. The sauce just brought it all together. There was a little pile of jalapeño, onion, and carrot in the middle. I didn't touch the jalapeño. I tried the carrot and the onion, but they were too spicy for me. Not a big deal. It was a nice lite lunch, and with soda, tax and tip, the price was very reasonable. I definitely want to come back and try more items off of this menu. Thank you.
