    Tacos Al Pastor Taco
    Jesus E.

How have I gone so long not knowing this was here?!? Very delicious Mexican food truck at the parking lot of Worldwide Sports. We were excited to try a few things and were not disappointed. The tacos were so good and everything I would expect out of street tacos. I liked their al pastor! I also had the quesadilla with carnitas and it was also delicious. Just simple and perfect! My partner really loved his chorizo burrito as well and the churros were a great dessert! Service was good and it was only a 10 min wait from ordering to getting our food! Will definitely be back!

Wanted to order ahead before heading out... called twice, no answer, so drove up, ordered and waited for the food. I ordered the following: - 6 tacos (al pastor and carnitas) - 1 quesadilla (carnitas) - 2 tostada (chicken and ground beef) Total came out to $38 with 15% tip, total paid was $43.70. Had price shock for few seconds when I was told what the total was. The prices that I saw on the menu vs what was posted on the truck was different, looks like they raised the prices - ie taco went from $1.99 to $3.50 Alright, so here is what I think. - Al Pastor was good, but bit on the bland side - Carnitas was seasoned well and was my favorite, but it was bit dry. - Quesadilla was excellent as well. - Tostadas was decent, would skip it. When I think of foodtruck, I think of cheap and fast food. While you get your food out of a truck, their price is bit high compared to other taco trucks. However, you'll overcome the price point as their products are good. Only thing I ask is for them to either 1) pick up the phone to take orders and 2) maybe get online order enabled.

I don't think I've ever recommended a single place to eat more than Tacos El Mariachi Loco. I've tried all of the other popular Mexican restaurants in Ann Arbor/Ypsi-- nothing has ever been better than tacos el mariachi loco! Pros: the workers are always friendly and the food is phenomenal! Cons: because they're a food truck, they can be difficult to track down if you're not active on their Facebook (but still definitely worth it) My recs: everything is good but I really like the fish tacos, the mushroom taco is also delicious for all the vegetarians!

Was looking for some good tacos in the area and came along this place. The have quite a bit of a menu with many taco assortments. I wanted the famous Birria taco but they ran out. So I had the chorizo, steak asada, and fish taco. They were all good. They also had tostadas, quesadillas, and burritos. Pricing isn't bad either. Staff is very nice and there are heaters at the counter for those cold nights. There is a $6 minimum for credit cards. Location is in the middle of a parking lot so you can't miss it!

Liked the Tacos and Tostadas. They have vegetarian/vegan tacos too. Owner is very polite and friendly. Highly recommend this hole in the wall kind of food truck!

Love this food truck! They are always super friendly, everything we've gotten has been delicious and authentic. You definitely get bang for your buck. Last time we ate here I got carnitas tacos, super yum as usual. Highly recommend.

Probably the most authentic street tacos in Ann Arbor area. The fish and breakfast tacos were really good, and the salsas were delicious!

Take a seat anywhere you like; we chose to sit at the bar. This is a well-equipped bar for such a casual setting: Dos Equis, Modelo, Bell's, and Sierra Rose hard cider. Waaaaay better than Chi-Chis (and any real Mexican restaurant I can think of, too). And, my wife ordered a margarita, and she loved it. Best of all, the price was very reasonable: $17 after tip for the margarita and a large Dos Equis. Food orders are placed at a separate counter, and they are ready quickly. A single fish taco is a good size, and only costs $4.75. The daily special is $10.29, and includes two tacos, rice, and beans, with a small up charge for the fish tacos. I feel like I've traveled back in time to the last century with these prices. The fish tacos are outstanding. The fish is freshly prepared, and not fried. You will want to get more than one to make it a meal, and the rice and beans in the combo are a nice complement. The rice could have used more seasoning, but this is easily corrected by mixing in some salsa. This is truly a wonderful find.

Rice isn't the best but better than other Mexican restaurants. I'm from South Texas, used to authentic Mexican food and I've been looking for some food like this in this area. The service is quick and the people are nice. Even when the line was long, it still didn't take that long. The seating area is small but it's nice and clean, they have music playing which I liked, I hate a place that's too quiet. Then the dessert area is amazing! My favorite is the Mango and Chamoy, so refreshing and exactly the flavor I look for when I see that flavor, unlike others that are very artificial. Great place to go and hope they can make more locations closer to Canton!! I'd make the drive though, it's worth it!

I'm big on ordering enough for multiple meals so I went with the nachos and a kid's steak quesadilla and got 3 meals out of the deal! The kid's portion came with two mini quesadillas and a side of rice and they were definitely generous with the steak portions! They had hearty chunks of steak, perfectly cooked and seasoned, surrounded by a nice melty cheese. Really tasty! For my nachos I went with the carnitas though I think they may have accidentally given me the al pastor as I bit into more than a few chunks of pineapple, which honestly was not my favorite when blended with the other elements of the nachos. I'd definitely get them again but I think I'd pick a different protein just in case. Probably the steak since it was so good in the quesadillas. I went through less than half of the nachos since they were a huge portion and tucked away the rest in the fridge for the next day. Sure, nachos don't always reheat great but I tossed mine under the broiler to crisp everything back up and then added some fresh chips on the side and it was perfect. I still had a few leftovers even after that and took the rest of it and added an egg on top for a makeshift chilaquiles dish! Pretty good! My one regret was not trying the churros but I'll definitely be doing that the next time!

A small taco shop in a nondescript strip mall, Miny's is turning out some seriously impressive and authentic tacos on par with places I love in Southern California. My friends and I swung by around dinnertime and while it was not crowded, there was a steady flow of customers and take-out orders. There is no dining area, but there are tables outside where one can sit and eat. I ordered 3 tacos: al pastor, cabeza, and Cameron, with spicy salsas on the side. The total was about ~$13. The first thing that stood out to me was the size. These were some hefty tacos, lovingly double-wrapped in pliable, warm, corn tortillas and neatly packaged for takeout. Salsa can be hit or miss but the salsas here were SO GOOD. Made in-house, they add the perfect moisture and flavor to each bite. Their green salsa has a mild, tingling kick, and tastes very rich and refreshing. The orange creamy salsa, however, stole the show. It is spicier than the green, and has a super addicting smokiness that enhances, but doesn't overpower, every bite. I was bright red and sweating but could not put this salsa down. The al pastor taco was my favorite. Sweet, soft, smoky pork with the crunch and freshness of onions and cilantro, drenched in the above salsas, simply divine! I wish it had come with pineapple for a pop of sweetness, but it was still a super good taco. I was thrilled to see that Miny's offered cabeza and lengua, as they are cuts of meat less familiar to the average American diner. I opted for cabeza and was greeted with a pile of soft, collagen-rich meat, bursting with juice and oil. The meat by itself is definitely a bit bland so the salsas did the heavy lifting in terms of flavor. The gooey-soft texture though, that was all due to the perfectly cooked meat. This was a pricier taco than the Al pastor, and there was definitely a bit less meat than in the Al pastor, but still a very good taco. The shrimp taco impressed me the least. The shrimp were unseasoned and looked to be boiled. While bouncy and tender cooked in this way, I prefer the char and juiciness of grilled shrimp in my tacos. In addition, I tend to expect my seafood tacos to have a slaw on them, versus the standard onions and cilantro. With the salsas, this taco was fine, but I would not order it another time. A very healthy but uninspired taco. Overall, for where it's located and what it is, Miny's does some amazing tacos, though I will probably skip the seafood ones next time. I will be DREAMING of that orange salsa, and now understand why on their menu, they sell it by the carton.
