I've been coming to Tacos El Patron for years because I genuinely enjoy the food, especially the birria tacos. The food is the reason I keep coming back, but unfortunately, I've had too many issues with my to-go orders over the years. Today's order was the final straw. I ordered two orders of birria tacos with consommé and specifically requested no cheese. Both orders came with cheese, and neither included the consommé. This is actually the second time the consommé has been forgotten. I understand that I share some responsibility for not checking the order before leaving, but I also expect my order to be prepared correctly and completely. By the time I noticed, I was already home and settled in to watch a game. When I called, they offered for me to come back and pick up the missing consommé, but that wasn't practical at that point. The food is great, which is why I've remained a customer for so many years. I just wish there was more attention to detail with takeout orders. Accidentally ordered food from this restaurant (Google directed me to this one when I intended to order from the name name restaurant in Phoenix). When I immediately noticed the mistake after order, I called the restaurant repeatedly and even emailed. Phone rang, but no answer, then they turned the phone off. Emails went unanswered. I reached out to their online service software (GetBento) who also were unable to get a response from them. I ended up having to dispute the charge through my credit card company. Best tortas in Southern California! They are MASSIVE and so flavorful! I always get the chorizo one because I like the little bits of crispy chorizo that add texture. I suggest squeezing lime and guacamole salsa into each bite as you enjoy. read more

Al pastor burrito: The burrito was hefty and the meat was flavorful. The burrito has meat, cheese, beans, rice, onions and cilantro. I enjoyed the burrito but my husband said it had too much rice in it. Chicken mulita: First time ordering it and I really enjoyed it! Found this spot while I was around the area.. decided to try it based off reviews and I was not disappointed!! I ordered over the phone. Girl in the picture was the one who answered my call. I ordered 3 tacos birria with consomé no cheese. I repeated 3x no cheese because there was a little bit of a language barrier. No queso 3x. I go in to get my food and the receipt said it had cheese. I open the meal and there was cheese inside. She got upset and said I told her I wanted cheese when I know for a FACT I didn't. She wanted to go back and forth and I was in no way being rude about it. It was a simple mistake. I've been coming here for tacos for years. I love their birria tacos with consommé and their mulitas. Service is always friendly. The line can get pretty long during peak hours. To bypass the long wait times, I order ahead and then I go in to pick up my food now. Highly recommended giving this place a try if you're ever in the area. Awhile back I ordered the birria ramen online through a delivery service. I received only consume and after my complaint I received an immediate refund and a credit and apology from the owner. We have received several great street taco orders since then and some good birria ramen orders. A few nights ago I ordered birria nachos and received asada fries via delivery service for over $17 dollars I think. Raised issue via delivery app and was immediately refunded. Tried again tonight with asada nachos and they received same I guess but the chips were mostly soggy, not cooked tortillas which were 100% inedible. Nothing like nachos. It was soggy tortilla sludge. The ones that wanted to be chips were as chewy as adding baking soda to your tooth paste. The other ones were disintegrating upon arrival leaving some type of flour/corn sludge on the bottom of the pan. Some of this is probably on the delivery side but from the generous salsa bar, we received two of the creamy green sauces, no red or any other options. With street taco orders, you typically receive onions, cilantro, limes and a variety of all the salsas. Stick to the tacos and maybe you are good. Two stars because of past street taco orders and good prices. Extra star for immediate refunds on wrong orders. read more

Come here and try all the types of tacos, burritos, mulitas, etc. 9.2/10, they are the only tacos that I can eat without any sauce just because they are that good. The only thing you need to throw on any item is the cilantro and onions. Service is super quick. The only downside about the place is the parking is super limited!
