I also ordered the asada nacho fries, topped with steak, tomato, onions, cilantro and avocado, then topped with some sour cream. First of this is probably the only decent place to get a burrito around this block. The other spot near walgreens or the bus stop is terrible, not only is the taste bad but the prices or 20$ you pay over there is not worth it. Usually whenever I come here the food truck and mcdonald's is my goto lunch spots, don't bother going to the other places you should avoid them asap. For a quick snack or if you just want coffee and cookies the other places are okay for that, but hungry and want something to fill the belly go here instead. Burritos here pretty good and I can't deny the salsa or the green sauce and pico puts a smile on my spicy food cravings. They only have pinto beans but that's fine I personally like black or pinto beans, never got into refried beans much my taste buds just didn't welcome refried as much as black or pinto beans. The rice and guacamole was a bit creamy and I didn't feel like I was feeling the guacamole flavor as I was munching on the Suoer Burrito. The rice and beans were good, soft tender mexican rice and the grilled chicken was cooked perfectly. When I added the salsa, particularly the Green Sauce my stomach wanted to grab the whole salsa Container and take it home with me....... Not too spicy, not too mild, and just the right amount of cilantro and lime they got me good on this sauce. The chips were great or I had some crunchy chips that made me want to order super Nachos too. Some stores just give you costco chips or premade old soggy chips that break easily even before you dip in salsa, not these chips Dip in twice and still the pico was all there no tomatoes falling. One of the best things I like is they have a salsa bar with a good selection to choose from. green, red, pico grilled onions yes they have a small bowl that has grilled onions and peppers cooked. Usually Just the basic red, green sauce, and limes if I do see a small space for salsa, but primo has more the chips are already bagged and you can grab more chips and salsa cups. Plenty of napkins, salsa cups and forks if need be too. The only downside is the salsa cups are so tiny. the cup size looks like something your dentist use to clean your teeth . Not a big deal breaker for me, but still would nice if we can get a bit more salsa and a bigger cup to hold. The location is alright and I do see people come and go, still this place has a lot of potential but it's hard to beat Mcdonald's or just take the street car further up turnpike if you want something in your taste. Am glad they still have some good horchatas and churros here too, I can't eat Burritos right if I don't have my L horchata and churro later on. Another thing I notice is they don't give plastic bags even if you order 3 burritos, but luckily I had brought my own. Best Mexican food in the area by far!! And they do not provide small quantities, they grill the food right and front of you and the new owners (as of a year ago) really have it on lock. Yamel is so kind and has memorized our orders and we come here all the time. There's a little eating area you eat at and fresh agua frescas all the time! Taco trucks look extremely clean, well serviced, and food is rather quick. It's definitely an authentic experience and I've greatly enjoyed coming:) they are so kind. I asked for a carne asara burrito and got a burrito of chewy fat for about $10. It is wrong to sell your customers chewy fat instead of steak! Also the short lady taking orders is rude as hell. Go treat yourself to a real burrito at Taqueria Azteca a few blocks away for better quality food and 100% better service where you can actually watch them make your food in front of you and never pull what these people are doing! Really not a good choice to come here. They are overpriced, slow, and don't even have a menu. When i asked how much items were I was ignored. I got 4 "birria" tacos which were just unseasoned shredded pork and onion on a tortilla. No sauce, no cheese, just meat and onion. They gave me a lemon instead of a lime which isn't that big of a deal, but kind of strange. Overall it was expensive and not what I wanted or expected. Update: Recent restaurant safety inspection gives them a 98. So, if you're worried about taco trucks because you're a weakling hypochondriac, maybe that'll help. They do a ceviche tostada and it's great. ...Pile of ceviche on top of a crispy tostada with avocado slices on top. Good stuff! Not the most high-end ceviche in the world in that there aren't whole shrimps, etc, in there but rather it's all chopped up into the mix. Still extremely tasty though! Putting it on top of a tostada is a great idea, and it's very well priced compared to your typical ceviche! Breakfast burritos, which I hadn't had before because mornings are not my thing, are wonderful. Huge, tasty, etc. (BTW in the early morning the truck is usually not in the same spot. I live a few streets away and I was looking for good Mexican food since there's not many places in this area. I specifically went because of the review and wanted to make it the new spot. I order a sope and 2 cabeza tacos. The sope was ok, it had too much on top, not enough meat but was not bad at all. The tacos had a lot of meat but it was dry meat. For being a taco truck the prices were high, I rather take a ten minute drive to San Bruno and you will find two of the best taco trucks right off the 101 on El Camino Real. Terrible. Went to an event and the taco truck was hired to cater for food. (The host prepaid the "business" to give food to the guest. Which would be free to the guest.) They had their menu up so I figured, I would order the nachos. They said "no nachos, only tacos, quesadillas, or burritos". He also said we can't take the drinks from the truck which was visible for people to grab. If it's there, why can't we take it. As for the menu, why can't we order stuff from the menu if it's showing the food items. It would have been better to update the menu to avoid confusion and disappointment. Breakfast burrito review only. Wow the breakfast burrito here is pretty damn good and it's huge to boot. This is a true Mission style burrito but in breakfast form (aka with eggs!) It also has potatoes and even though I don't like them when they aren't as crisp/crunchy, the ones here were just right. I got mine loaded and with ham, since that seemed to be the only meat option for the breakfast burrito. It's not very greasy but just right and if it wasn't so far away from where I normally am in the city, I'd hit this spot up. If you are down in Bayview/Hunters Point make sure to drop by. I came on a Saturday morning and it was open, so I think the hours listed on Yelp are incorrect. read more

Hot damn, son... this just might be the best taco shop I've ever eaten at; and not just in San Francisco, but anywhere else in the world (including Taiwan!). Growing up in San Diego, I was blessed with an embarrassment of riches when it came to great Mexican food. It's no secret, so I won't wax poetic justice like Janet Jackson on that ass, but it goes without saying that the Mission style Mex has nothing on our wacky neighbors to the south. And because of the close proximity to the United States/Mexico border into Tijuana, I've also put my life in danger numerous times by eating off of questionable roadside grills and shady seafood shacks more than I can count, so I think I've experienced enough indigenous cuisine to make these claims. Well, enough experience for a goofy white guy, I suppose. I don't spend very much time in this neck of the woods, so when I found myself in the area yesterday on the heels of a quick business pow wow, I decided break out that nifty Yelp iPhone app and see what was cookin' in the immediate proximity. To my delight, a no frills taco truck by the name of Tacos El Primo caught my eye with a near perfect rating, so naturally, I had to set the ol' GPS towards its permanent parking spot on Yosemite & Jennings to give it a whirl. Lucky for me it was the end of the day, so I didn't have to wait very long. I wasn't terribly hungry, so I asked the friendly fellow at the order window what the three most popular tacos were from customer experience (annoying, I know... but how am I supposed to learn without asking?). He recommended the carne asada right off the bat, but since I don't eat beef, I asked for the next two. Those recommendations were the pollo asado and al pastor tacos, so without hesitation, I ordered one of each. After a short wait, I was handed a paper plate wrapped in tin foil with a bounty napkin pulled right off the roll, and I was back to my Nissan Sentra Hybrid in two shakes of a lamb's penis (that's how the saying goes, right?). I think you can easily guess the summation of my masticating experience at this point: it was outstanding. Easily some of the most authentic and savory grilled animal carcass I've had the pleasure of swallowing in recent memory. Never mind the fact that it was the messiest meal I've ever consumed in a moving automobile, (sorry, Zipcar!), the impending explosion of hot sauce, grilled onions, cilantro and excess meatstuffs that ended up in-or-around my face was enough to make me pull over and finish the rest in a safe place. I highly suggest you do the same to avoid a similar disaster. This place is in the middle of nowhere, but if you have a good friend with a car, you really should make an effort to pay them a visit. They're even open on Saturdays, so if you can't make it during the normal work week, make it an adventure on the first day of your weekend! read more

Still five star. Still as clean as an operating room (look at those Public Health inspection scores!)---and authentic. Sometimes we go high-end for lunch---sometimes not---but whenever someone says "Hey, what about the Taco truck", everyone goes in on the order. And it's delicious. The vegetarians are happy (great vegetarian taco and tasty, fresh fish tacos)---those craving authenticity are amused---(esophagus tacos?) and the rest of us are just full and happy. Go to spot. BEST TACOS EVER. Seriously. Primo's tacos are heaven in my mouth. My coworker occasionally drives here for lunch and is kind enough to always pick up tacos for all of us. I've never been to the truck myself so I can't speak for the location but the tacos are off the hook!! They are amazing and piled with deliciously grilled meat atop two small soft tortillas. For $1.75, they are a steal! You can also upgrade to a supreme taco and they will melt cheese in between the two tortillas (quesadilla taco? tacodilla?!) and add sour cream on top. The Carnitas are on point, crispy on the outside juicy tender meat on the inside. I ate three tacos with a half liter of Mexican coke and I was so full.
