a food truck parked on the side of the road

About a 10 minute walk from the 22nd st cal train stop in a very industrial, unassuming neighborhood. Ordered the al pastor and pollo (pork and chicken) tacos which was delicious and very flavorful. We should have gotten more! Each order comes with a side of chips and salsa which was a great touch.

Fast and efficient. Loved the taste of the tacos and was quick and fast. Best bang for your buck. Loved the extra chips and salsa on the side too.

Tacos El Flaco, this place is awesome and one of the many hidden gems of food trucks in San Francisco. The meat is tender and juicy, in portion control a spot on! It looks like they got at 100% Health score but in 2016, also I wish they regularly carried chips, they do have Doritos and lays but that doesn't count. Also they are cash only! But somehow they get a 4 stars from me due to the amazing flavor of their burritos!

Taco Al Pastor with side sauces and chips. $3

Had been meaning to swing by this truck as I work close by on Illinois St. What a GREAT decision that was. These tacos are hefty, one was all I needed, and for $3 in SF?!?! Come on. Al pastor with the usual and of course green sauce to go with. The meat was cut up in larger bites and it wasn't full of fatty pieces. Way to go Tacos El Flaco, I'll be back for more. And parking is easy here.

Solid tacos, nothing extra on them, just meat and tortilla. Tried their super burrito, pass. Takes cash, venmo, zelle

The tacos are served with a little bag of chips, and the salsa verde is sensational.

Open air, a mix of food trucks, people hanging out, dogs everywhere, and that easy San Francisco energy where you can show up however you are and it fits. It never feels like a production, just a good place to land. We have eaten our way through a decent chunk of the trucks at this point, and that is half the fun. One day it is something messy and indulgent, the next it is lighter, but it always hits. Grabbing a drink, finding a spot at the picnic tables, and slowly settling in as the place fills up is kind of the rhythm. It is social without being overwhelming, lively without being chaotic. What keeps us coming back is how consistent it feels in the best way. It is easy, flexible, and always a good time whether you stay for an hour or lose an entire afternoon there. It is the kind of spot that turns into a routine before you even realize it, and honestly, we are not mad about it.

Spark Social is a great place to host an event. Big ones (company-sponsored), small ones (a group…read moreof friends huddling at a table), really any of them, because they have a couple different set ups that are open for reservations, but they can also accommodate walk-ins with the abundance of seating. Beyond that, the food and drinks are all food truck based. They are all quite good, and there's a wide variety of items. This also means a good variety for folks with different dietary needs, because they are mostly picking their own food. I have always enjoyed my time here, whether it's on company dime or if I'm just hanging out with friends. I do wish that there are more heaters around for the colder days but that's just life in the bay! It can be kind of cold and foggy all seasons here, so if you have a solid group of folks I'd recommend reserving a spot with a fire pit. One more note: parking can be tough. You either have to circle around for street parking, or rideshare here.

I am divorced), I was starving. I drove around San Francisco for awhile but every time I passed a restaurant I break down crying because it reminds me of my first date with my now ex wife. However, when I arrived at Aunty Vickys my entire mood changed. I was practically jumping for joy whilst waiting for my food. When I finally got my pulled pork combo I ate it an said verbally "Oh my golly this is good" before spinning on my head, just kidding I did not spin on my head, I dont know how haha! Trust me though, if I did I would have my man. But oh man the pork like oh my just oh yeah it was oh yeah so good man it was just so good. Im sorry I just loved it so much. Some people call me too positive but Vicky was even more positive. She told me not to think about my ex wife anymore because I have the future ahead of me, then I told her about my finances, and after assuring her I could still pay she walked away. The man in front of me ordered the shrimp and chicken combo, and when he put it on the table for a moment before walking away a piece of chicken fell off. I picked it up and ate it and wow, just wow, so good. I literally called my Mexican friend Angel and told him about this, it was diabolical. I will return to this location and order myself a full chicken shrimp combo. Im just so ready my man.

So be careful what you order. Chicken Shawarma Wrap: Weird thing happened, the guy asked if I wanted fries in my wrap, even though it wasn't listed on the menu and I had no idea it was an option. So I said yes and then when I got my wrap there were no fries in it. Like why even bother getting my hopes up if you're just going to disappoint me. The wrap itself was kinda meh too. I was excited to see the chicken spit spinning, knowing it was fresh. But the chicken I actually got didn't taste crispy like it was freshly sliced. It was actually a big soggy. Falafel (side): These were actually pretty nice. Very crispy exterior. Firm and grainy interior. Packed with protein. Beef Shawarma Plate: Liked this more than the wrap. The beef was actual steak-like instead of the weird gyro meatloaf I was expecting. Fluffy rice and well spiced. Zaalouk: My first side dish choice with the shawarma plate. It was smokey eggplant, with some really great flavor. Paired perfectly with the pita. Taktouka: My second side dish. This was tomato-y and full of diced bell peppers. Was salsa-like texture, so a little awkward with the pita. But still great flavor.

The only thing I couldn't wait to buy was the Moroccan Lentil Soup. Why lentils you ask? Because they're rich in fiber and so much protein, slows digestion and maintains blood sugar. I couldn't stop having lentils if I have a choice. I'll be more than willing to swing by for a different vegan side dish.

Recently, I've been a regular in the area for the WNBA Golden State Valkyries games. After an okay experience inside the arena during Warriors season, we were disappointed to learn a few weeks later that the menu pivoted and we did not enjoy it. I suggested trying here and the line was relatively short with only four people ahead of us for the line to the order stations. There are two iPad screens and a gentleman on the counter would occasionally accept order from the waiting customers in line. We used the right iPad and ordered a burrito to share. After placing our order and my friend paying for it, we walked towards the left wall (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=0fy2Fh-Q2N9LVyvUK5PAUw) and saw two water stations under the Thrive City mural. We waited along the wall as the expediting station was just before the wall. There are cups provided at the water station so my friend and I each got a cup and I grabbed some napkins. After about 8 minutes, our order was called and my friend claimed it. We walked back to the outside dining area as all seats and tables inside were occupied. A kind gentleman at a 4-seat table kindly allowed us to share the table with him. Not wanting to eat too much before the game, we shared the California Sisig burrito, pork, requesting on our order that it be cut in half; our burrito was comprised of pork, French fries, shredded cheese, sour cream, guacamole, and pico de gallo. Here is a photo of my half (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=8-67jjaNjmA_nRVaWdrySw). I requested a complimentary tomatillo salsa (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=1gtm20H4kvvYMB_pEFNVOg) on the side which I poured onto my burrito intermittently as I ate. I enjoyed that it was tasty yet not messy or wet. That is one of my peeves, when burritos leave my hands dripping from the sauces from the burrito. My friend enjoyed hers and we agreed that we would dine here again. We arrived relatively early (5:30 pm for a 7 pm game) yet the restaurant was full. As we left a little before 6 pm, the line spanned to about 15-18 people. Since we used the iPad station, there was no interaction with staff other than picking up the burrito. I mentioned to one the expediters that one of the water station was running low. A few minutes later, he refilled it fully. This is a good option if you're craving Mexican items with a Filipino spin but I recommend coming early if you don't want to wait too long.
