Never tried this taqueria but heard it was good for the area. To place an order you do it while standing in line (like a sandwich shop). The burrito is delicious however the place is a little stingy on the prawns & I had to pay extra for avocados instead of guacamole versus the other Taquerias that automatically put avocados in their burritos at no extra charge. When I went in the Taqueria, they have two TVs, but they were turned off + there was no music playing. The decoration is that of an average Taqueria. Just went here for the first time because of my friend recommendation. When i first walked in I was greeted with a big "cash only" sign and a empty restaurant. It's a cafeteria style restaurant where you tell them what you want and they'll scope it up for you. The workers were friendly enough but there was one point where I noticed two of the workers hover over my burrito and whispering, but I didn't think much of it. I found out later they messed up my order but didn't want to remake it. Their taxes is weird, $13.99 for a burrito after sf tax should be around $15.21 but I was charged $16.08. I have read others complaining about them overcharging for tax and it seem like it's true. By the way the have a POS that takes CC but they don't use it. On to the food, even though they messed up my order and gave me the wrong meat I was hoping it was good enough that it didn't matter, but the food was nasty and stale. Everything had a old oil taste and the chicken tasted rubbery, even their guacamole is dark and smelled sour.. Never again. I've been here a few times now and it's just OK. I've tried burritos and tacos. Tacos are definitely the safest bet to satisfaction. I'm a bit disappointed in today's transaction. I went in for a late lunch. Wanted 2 tacos with chicken, beans and some onions & guac. Simple, easy. In and out. I didn't know the guac had dairy in it. (Rarely do taquerias that make real guacamole use sour cream). Am I wrong here? Born and raised in SF and I've maybe seen this type of guac at maybe 2-3 other taqueria's. I told them that I could not eat this as it has dairy in it. The lady said well you're going to have to pay $2 extra. I'm like whatever, I just want my food, that's fine. Then, I go up to get the re-order and I'm told $3. I happily paid because they already seemed ticked off but I'm actually pissed. I even tipped them on the first transaction (as you should). Can the manager do something about this? Can I get a credit to like one taco or something? I ended up paying $13.00 + $1.00 tip for two basic tacos (Tacos with beans and meat, onions & guac/avocado). What a treat this place is! I had the Chile Verde and it was delicious ! It was full of cubed pork , you get your choice of beans and came with a side salad tortilla chips and corn or flour tortilla ! What a value as well all this for $13.25!! The crew who work here were exceptionally kind and knew their stuff! It was so much food that I had to take home half which is a good thing because now I have a wonderful dinner to look forward to! I started coming to this taqueria because it is the only food place close enough to my work and it is a GEM. My favorite to get is the super steak taco and I get chips and salsa on the side and eat the taco filling with the chips. DELICIOUS!! I actually got addicted to it that I've been coming back more often. Their steak super baby burrito is so good and it is still big. I actually prefer their burrito than the popular mission burrito. I used to go to mission to get tacos and burrito's but since I discovered this place I stopped going and this is my only go to Mexican restaurant now. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this taqueria. read more

This is a small burrito store on the corner that is usually never open (or well whenever I want it). When I saw it open for the first time, I had to get it. Right when I walked in, the workers didn't even greet us or anything. Not the best customer service. They weren't rude, but weren't exactly friendly either. Regardless, I ordered the special burrito with steak. I liked it a lot. The burrito was huge! It was a very good meal. I would come back for the burritos for sure. They also serve a lot of different types of meat. I almost thought it was Indian food. Not sure how great it would go in a burrito but maybe on a food plate. After driving by this place for so long, I decided to eat here. The carne asada burrito was semi-good. Too mushy for my taste. The combo plate which included, taco, chile relleno, enchilada & flauta........ALL HORRIBLE! It tasted as though the cook was barely learning how to make Mexican food. The chile relleno batter was too salty and oily. Flauta was soggy. Taco was tasteless. I started to laugh on the inside, when I was watching how he was making my enchilada. Not the right way. As I sat there, tasting all my food, there were some customers there already eating. I could here them say things like, "wow this is good." "They have real good Mexican food here." I had to try the shrimp diablo, chile relleno, and the horchata. those will give you a good idea of how awesome or not a Mx place really is. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't horrible at all. Their prawn burrito is pretty solid. Good quality prawns, good salsa, good beans, etc. It's a bit expensive, but it's very filling. For Mexican food outside of the mission, it is quite good. It's a neat, clean, store with friendly workers that speak good English. The only taqueria place I go around my work area and have the ability to communicate. NIce corner place with a huge selection of anything mexican. I get the same thing every Monday: Super Vegetarian Burrito Green Rice Spicy salsa Whole Beans Everything, no sour cream For here Aqua fresca (lime) The staff are always surprised for some reason. I have been coming here for years and they still treat me like a tourist. The food is good- a bit salty and is very expensive for what you get. Which is odd, considering the location of this joint. One of the best burritos in San Francisco. They ain't cheap, but go for the Steak and Prawn Super Burrito (approx. $9.00). It will be the best $9.00 burrito you've ever had. This place is out of the way, but if you are down on 3rd Street and hungry, check it out. All of the meats and other items are always good. The quesadillas are huge, and very popular.
