I would truly give this place 3.5 stars. I had pastor and asada tacos. Presentation was nice, meat was not dry but it also wasn't juicy. The flavor overall was enjoyable. Nothing I would drive back for, but something I wouldn't mind eating again if I had to. Asked for extra green salsa and didn't get any... it's looked like less than most photos I seen on here. My husband got a super burrito extra soured cream. No extra sour cream and burrito was pretty thin for a super. Again he enjoyed the flavor but nothing he said would be worth going out of his way for. They were busy and consistent order to almost 20/25 minutes to get. read more

El Ret Azteca is one of the best taco trucks in Stockton. I've probably been at about 20 Stockton taco trucks and I can confidently say that this one is in the top two or three. Why? In large part because of the way they season their meat! I hate the disappointment of boring, bland meat. I usually get a carne asada or pastor super burrito and I've never been disappointed. The burritos have a good ratio of meat, cheese, beans, rice, and salsa and the ingredients are mixed together. The burritos are a decent size and the tortillas are grilled. When I went tonight my burrito came with a creamy green sauce on the side which added a nice flavor as well. The staff is always friendly and they're located in a well-lit parking lot off Pacific Ave. there's usually a line but 1, that's a sign of a good spot and 2, it moved pretty quickly. Yes it's a little more expensive than some other places but I think the quality is worth it. If you want cheap food go to the nearby Taco Bell or the taco truck at Harding/Lincoln where you can have a $5 burrito that's 90% rice. read more
