The guacamole was definitely store bought. The carne was under seasoned, that burrito was mostly tortilla (which they are cheaper then most options in the area) but I'd rather pay 3-4 more dollars for a more loaded better quality burrito. My friend got the pollo queso taco which was 7.99$ and it was the size of a normal street taco with a cheap corn tortilla and that store bought guacamole. The ambiance is pretty chill eat your food and go type situation. You could even chill with big groups of peeps. Since there so cheap just try all the tacos. I had four adobada tacos for $1.50 each, which is a Friday and Saturday daily special. The tacos were good and came with a very good amount of tender tasty marinated pork. I like that they put some crispy bits in the tacos as well. The guacamole was very good and the chopped white onions and cilantro were fresh. The house made corn tortillas were very good, too. The red salsa available at the salsa bar was pretty good, too. It could of offered a little more flavor but it had a good medium heat. A more variety of salsas and hot sauces would of been good too. What was once a relaible and go-to family retaurant has fallen far, and fast. This little spot, next to the UPS store of of 13th in IB was pretty tasty when they first opened. As time has gone on, though, it's lost its lustre, and in a big way. We ordered two Adobada tacos, a Carnitas taco, a Carne Asada taco and a cruncy beef taco to go yesterday, and were absolutely shocked at the poor quality. This was Saturday at 6:00 PM; this was not an off-time or one-off. This was dinner rush, and they should have had their A-game. Not even close. The Carne Asada was old and chewy, and had an off-taste. This had obviously been cooked hours before. The Adobada was equally chewy, and the crunchy beef taco was filled with old and hard beef. Carnitas was fair to middling. What gives? Why the TOTAL lack of quality control? You should be ASHAMED to send out food this old and unedible. Just moved near here and walked over on a Monday night. Everything was clean and tidy. Customer service was excellent. You order up at the counter and then take a seat. There are plenty of options, but we stuck to the basics for this 1st time. Rolled shredded beef tacos are good. Nice and crispy topped with avocado sauce, lettuce, and cheese. The salsa bar has cut limes, radish, and 3 different squeeze bottles of salsa. The green one was our choice. 2 crispy beef tacos were special, and they are regular hand size tortilla filled with shredded beef, lettuce, and cheese. I came for the taco Tuesday combo early afternoon and they were $1.75 each. They were really tasty, with the cabeza and fish tacos being my favorites. They were very juicy and well fried. It was pretty fast service, and they brought them all out on these trays for dine in. The sauce station were in bottles so you have to try them all out. read more

10 Red Sauce is all I asked for since I baught 10 Carne Asada Tacos to go. The lady whose name I didn't get to ask for said that I could only have 8 would ask if she could. When I got my order at the counter I realized and checked the bag. I only got 4 sauces l. So I waited until she came back out from the kitchen. Luckily Allan came out and I asked him for a few more of the red sauce and he happily abliged and came to my rescue. Something is wrong with the Ladies there that makes them so stingy. So next check inside your bag order when ever you come across any of the women behind the counter. Thank You Allan for listening and making your customers feel welcome and appreciated. There is a small self-serve bar with different salsas, lime, and sliced radishes. I recommend adding lime and salsa for extra flavor. The cashier, Anahi, gladly answered my questions. There were no issues with customer service! You order upon entry, sit down, and wait for your number to be called. There was music playing, and the paintings on the walls were lovely. I go to the gym that is close to this place and sometimes when I get out, it smells so good. Well, I was finally able to try it when one of my friends decided to get us carne asada fries from here. Everything was seasoned so well, the red sauce was on point, the horchata was delicious, and the ambiance was great along with the service. My only disappointment was with my adobada burrito and carne asada fries was the meat was very over cooked. I always get adobada because normally it's on the trompo and freshly cut off the big juicy meat log. I assumed from a place called El Trompo they have their meat on there too. But it tasted like the bits of meat that fall on the grill and get burnt up. They just scraped it up for my burrito. Now I hate taking food back and asking for them to fix things. I hate wasting food even if it's burnt or bad, so of course I ate it hoping it was only a few pieces of burnt meat. But the whole burrito was burnt meat. Same with the carne asada fries. Not only did she not greet us, she looked at us and proceeded to gossiping to her coworker about another guest. Once she was done gossiping then she took our order. This was my third visit and quite honestly, my meal was not as good as the two previous times. On my most recent visit, the shrimp was overcooked and altho i paid for extra shrimp, the shrimp did not come out to the edge of the tortilla.
