Who makes enchilada's without frying the tortillas. The red sauce is a watered down no flavor mess. We have had canned red sauce that tasted better. What gets me is they don't even understand that your there spending a sum to fee your family. The best way for a restaurant to go out of business is to do exactly what Taco's Elsinore is doing. This is our go to taco shop. The food is consistent and tasty, salsa is good, service is quick and easy. They do not hold back on the meat and cheese which I very much appreciate. Breakfast burritos available all day; thick bacon and chunky sausage, beans cheese and French fries. Crunchy tacos packed with meat cheese and lettuce. Quesadillas with the good white Mexican cheese, and again, packed with meat (if you order it with meat). I usually pick up and take home, but the inside seating looks clean, I haven't seen it overly crowded, and there are some kids vending machines for toys and games. read more

It's always interesting when a business spends so much time telling the world how beloved they are, how dedicated they are to their customers, and how much they "care" about the community. That's a great message -- but only when the reality matches the marketing. We arrived at Tacos Elsinore at 8:39 PM, well before their posted closing time of 9:00 PM. Every online listing confirmed they were open. The sign on the door said "open." Yet we were waved off by an employee who was already mopping the floor. Even after pointing to the sign, she simply shook her head and refused to serve us. If a business chooses to close early, that's a policy choice -- but then they should be honest about it. Update your hours. Train your staff. Do something other than telling the public you're community-focused while turning people away before closing. I'm always the first to praise businesses that live up to their own standards. But I'll also call it out when the experience doesn't match the image. If this was a one-off staff issue, fix it. If it's your actual policy, own it. Just don't advertise yourselves as a standout neighborhood gem while operating like any other place that shuts the doors whenever it's convenient. read more

I've stopped here many times for lunch. They have different specials on each day of the week and my favorite is Thursdays when they have carnitas soft tacos. They are absolutely delicious! I usually get four tacos and a large horchata and the bill comes out around $10. That's great considering every place you go these days is at least $20 for lunch. The first time I went, I ordered 3 carnitas tacos and they were so good I went back for 4 more!! They have a self serve salsa bar and the various salsas are fresh and homemade. In addition to the salsas, they offer limes, radishes, and pickled jalapeños with carrot. You order at the counter and the friendly staff brings the food to the table. Second time coming here for lunch and got their chile verde burrito and it's really tasty. It has that kick but doesn't overpower the burrito. The cashier the 2 times I have been here has been very nice and attentive. Feels homey and comforting to come here. read more

Location is not great! But it's not their fault. Even though there are creepy people out and about. The location is clean even the bathroom. Not going to lie I was surprised that the bathroom was as clean as it was! So that is a huge plus! For 20 bucks I got a quesadilla rice and beans and a drink kids meal and a flan and two taco all carbon plate! So the pricing was ridiculously good especially right now. The portions were big! So I actually had enough after we ate to give to a lady down the street. The location I would say would be good for a family to eat at because they have video games for the kids and the old school machines etc. Big menu open breakfast through dinner. Flan was pretty good tacos had a ton of meat. Quesadillas were really good. Rice and beans were also tasty. So all in all I could see myself coming back. Even though it's not my usual route. Tacos Elsinore has been a point of rescue for me with my family. It's a great place to stop and get quality authentic Mexican food on the run. This review is for the chick working on 3/31/21 at approximately 5pm. I specifically asked for 5 red and 5 green sauces with my order. Now before the shit hit the fan, your sauce bar was Serve Yourself. I could get as much as I wanted, I could make up 20 cups for one taco if I wanted. So imagine my surprise when you repeated what I asked for and then shorted me. Why the fuck do I need to be spending my money here when it's YOU dictating what I can have with my food? 6 was a good number for you but 10 wasn't? I'm not understanding the logic here.... because if it were one sauce per item then I should have received 14 cups. So for less than half a cup of hot sauce, your boss/owner lost a customer for life. I saw what you did, as you were doing it, so if you think you're fooling anyone, you're not. I don't argue with people or ask twice. I'm tired of fast food taco places not opening their salsa bars. Chick gives me 2 tiny salsas with my burrito. I asked for 3 more and she gives me 1. I said no, I asked for 3 and she said that'll be 25 cents extra. Really? Guy before me declined his salsa and you can't give me what you would've given him? Joke. A man came in to harass me and my boyfriend, going on and on about Christianity. He then cornered us and would not let us order. On top of that he was not wearing a mask. The workers did not tell him to put a mask on nor did they ask him to leave, putting us and their other customers in danger. The small hole in the wall place has an amazing selection of daily deals. It's Taco everyday but Tuesday. I really love their carne asada burrito, and their carnitas tacos. It can get busy during lunch hours, but it's worth it. They recently had a price increase, but it's still the best deal you can get. read more
