I visit this place everytime I head over to Paramount to visit a friend. Great little joint with a good choice of meats. My favorite are the buche and al pastor. You can help yourself to some traditional condiments- cilantro, onions, cucumbers, lime wedges, pickled carrots.. etc. One thing I love about this place is that you can request for things like cheese and sour cream at no extra cost. Once upon a night it was very late, I was very hungry and decided to come here. I found out that they were open for 24 hours Friday nights and Saturday nights. Tacos were fine. Cheap though small. Lots of places to sit but you clean your own table. That's not unexpected. What was unexpected was what happened after I ate. I needed the bathroom and saw it just inside then side of the building. Where they all seem to be. I want in and immediately a woman started banging on the door yelling for me to get out. And she wouldn't stop so I got out. She said the bathrooms are not for public use. No sign outside that said that. I love their tacos, but their salsa selections suck major balls! They need to make a big change in their salsas like you know? Make them taste good. First time I bought a burrito here the cook hooked it up with the meat. My burrito was fat as hell! I also bought a taco de al pastor and it was FIRE! My entire order was less than 7 bucks. However the second time I returned, the staff was different and it was a big boy taking my order. Dude just had an attitude. I work customer service dude, I get it. Most places have one standout style of meat that keeps you going back but I can think of another place almost every time that does a better Pastor/Carnitas/Pollo/Asada taco better than them. Have eaten here for years and referred many people there. However on my visit yesterday I placed an order and while waiting I go to get salsa and lemons there were flies in the guacomle and flies all over the limes. When I asked for some of the fresh limes that were inside right behind the guy who took my order he told me no I had to use the limes that the flies were on. When I asked Him if he was serious he replied yes the juice from the lime will kill it. I asked the girl who was now at the window and she replied that they can't go outside and make sure that the tops are closed all the time. So I asked one more time did they really expect me a paying customer to eat food that had flies in it and all over it and she replied yes....I got my money back and cancelled my order. My family and friends and I have all vowed to never eat at this establishment again. Their customer service is awful they were very disrespectful and I'm not saying the food is awful as I stated I've eaten here for years. I ordered shrimp fajitas and guess what they smell really bad and had a werid taste the shrimp was white. I'm torn about how many stars to give this place. The food especially the carne asada tacos, rice, and beans are delicious so for the food taste wise, I would have given it 4 stars but for sanitary/hygiene, it's sadly a one star so hence the stars. There were chopped up big pieces as well as small pieces of plastic in my tacos today and the worse thing is that my little 5 year old daughter who was eating the tacos was the one to discover it. She didn't want to eat anymore because there were hard pieces. I thought they were pieces of bone but upon closer inspection, there were pieces of plastic all over the meat! Not sure where it came from but it could be from the cutting board they use? Called and spoke with the owner named Angel but the communication wasn't the greatest since English wasn't the primary language for the owner. He did apologize but I got the strong impression he didn't care and didn't try to make amends. I'm very disappointed because the food is good but not keen on eating plastic. Customer service is poor, workers don't speak English well, and they are down right rude most of the time. Only worker that had somewhat decent manners was a young girl but I hardly see. just as i've done a million times i ordered a bean rice cheese burrito with grilled onion and cilantro. the cashier told the cook to grill the onion cilantro mix. i watched the cook make my burrito and he didnt grill the onion cilantro mix. the cashier confronted (the man with the burn on his face) about not grilling the veggies and he said "we dont do it like that". she then told me he was being difficult. i then requested a refund as they refused to fulfill my order. so sad. ive been going to giyo tacos for years. i feel as if i was hispanic my burrito would have been made to order. i will not be returning. read more

I used to come to this place all the time. The last time that I came, I placed a big order.. Once getting home I realized that I was missing a burrito and the quesadilla had little meat so I called to let them know I was going back for the burrito. After waiting in line for another 10 minutes, I finally spoke to the girl about the burrito. She called her manager and I swear that guy was a jerk!! He had the audacity to tell me that I was lying about the burrito and trying to get free food!!! Like really, I'm gonna go out of my way to come back and try to get free food?? He was just rude. He gave me a hard time but finally gave me the burrito.. then when I asked him about the quesadilla not having any meat he said that's how they make them. I also told him that I ordered it without onion and it had onion... the "manager" pretty much told me I was lying. I told him to try it for himself and I even open it up for him to show him the onion and at that point was just ignoring me.
