Best tacos in Cabo. The owners were delightful. A lot of the food was new to me... Chef Federico and his wife delivered. If you were just walking by you'd think it was a hole in the wall, but don't be mistaken and don't miss out. This is the place you're looking for. We had some Seabass and also battered shrimp tacos. We tried their Marlin tacos, which were unlike anything I've had before. Kept it going with some chorizo tacos, Coronas, and a Mexican Coke. Their house made salsas were also five-star. Mexican locals say this is the spot. Just a short walk from most of the fancy resorts.
Worst tacos and service! Don't waste your time or money here. Better to go somewhere else, since there's many options in the area. We were the 3rd table to be seated. The server said it'll be a 10 minute wait for our food. It took 15+ minutes for him to even bring out chips & salsa. The other party was fed up with waiting and left. We almost left as well, but felt bad that we've put in an order and decided to give them a chance. It took about 30 minutes to be served 8 tacos. We tried the shrimp, fried fish and steak. The tacos were tiny with meager filling, tasted ok, nothing special. The drinks were mainly sugary syrup. I wish I left and went to Gardenias instead. I enjoy small and unknown local spots, but this is not it. The wait spoiled the entire experience and you're just sitting outside in the sun in plastic lawn chairs. The servers dog kept barking nonstop. It was a one man show (not the the owner behind the counter, probably the apprentice). Maybe he was just starting out, but it'll be better to let guests know the realistic wait time. Also, there was no menu and you really don't know what you're paying until he serves you the bill. I do not recommend eating here, ever.
We stumbled across this spot during our first trip to Cabo in 2023 as it's right up the road from our resort. It's a small, hole in the wall spot with just a few tables outside- so you know it's going to be good! The owner was gracious to place a fan on us because it was very hot and humid that day. While we were contemplating the menu, we were served complimentary chips with a salsa verde and another creamy sauce. The chips and salsa verde were good, I didn't try the creamy sauce but my fiance did and he liked it. We ordered a variety of tacos- pastor, chicken, and chorizo for my fiance. He enjoyed them all, stating that the chicken was his favorite. I asked them owner if by chance they could grill them shrimp and he was very kind and said "not a problem". The last time I ate here I had them battered, as on the menu, and they were still good but the grilled version were much better! The one thing I noticed about this spot compared to the other taco shops in Cabo is they don't serve the accoutrements. Not a big deal, but I do enjoy being able to add additional fresh ingredients to my taco. Definitely a great spot with a very kind owner!
My friend found this place and we decided to get tacos from here after a boat tour. You can just park right in front of the shop. They only take pesos in cash. The tacos are reasonably priced and both tortilla and the filling were flavorful. My favorite was the fish taco. You don't really see smoked marlin anywhere so that was interesting!

More importantly, never thought it could taste so good. The sweet smoky red bits of marlin with the crispy texture of the fried shrimp made this taco one of the best on my entire trip. Spanish name was Perron. Next time I would like to try Gobernador, which is simply smoked marlin and cheese. The Baja Special (fried fish taco, using local sea bass), was quite good too. The fish was fried well, and the batter was not too thick like it often can be. I came for the Pork Chop Taco, but they were sold out. Not upset since I may have missed the bomb Smoked Marlin & Fried Shrimp Taco otherwise.
World travelled foodie. Wouldn't say they are the one and only. Eating at the place wasn't an option due to all the flies outside but we did get the tacos to go and like many of the Mexican I an tacos and food in Cabo you have to create the flavor you want by putting on all the salt, sauces and salsas. Without it the tacos lack flavor. We ordered the fried fish taco, fried shrimp taco, and smoked fish taco. Tortillas are great, the tacos were uneventful and the smoke fish taco can be avoided.
This is easily my FAV taco shop in Cabo! They have a smoked Marlin Taco which is amazing! Make sure you ask for the Ultimate- which means they put cheese on top. The beer battered fish and shrimp tacos are amazing! Super reasonably priced! 10/10 would recommend. We go back multiple times while we are in Cabo! Frederico and Sara are super welcoming and bring out 3 different salsas to try with home made tortilla chips. You sit outside and enjoy the shade depending on the time of day! Go here for sure!
First and foremost, I wish more people knew about this spot before going to the super touristy places that not only overcharge you and take your money, but also provide horrible customer service and deliver mediocre food. This place is the epitome of a hidden gem. I've had many margaritas here in Cabo and this rates #1 best margarita in my book. Not only the drinks but the homemade salsas they provide to accompany the phenomenal FRESH tacos which were fish and shrimp. The service was perfect. The owners which were a husband and wife take pride in the small business they own and give the customers the best experience and hospitality they can. PLEASE PLEASE give them a try before heading to the beachside. You won't regret it. 12/10
This WONDERFUL hole in the wall has AMAZING SHRIMP AND FISH TACOS! From My experience I would say comparable and better than Gardenias! I still love Gardenias but this place is REALLY that amazing. It's CASH ONLY but really worth your while. Prices are not shown so it seems a bit sketch but Frederico was a great server and I enjoy the fresh chips and pico de gallo. Definitely will be back when I'm in town next time.
My partner and I were the only people there midday on a week day. Truly, a no fuss, off the beaten path gem. The tacos were fresh, perfect size, and the salsa delicious. The ambiance is perfect for a no frills lunch.

Wow this place is the bomb! Everything is so fresh and delicious. The service is amazing and each meal is made with love! the ceviche and tacos are the best in Cabo! Run don't walk to this small family owned business you will thank me!!! Tamarindo and Jamaica margaritas are aaaaaamazing!!! Did I mention the salsa flight from mild to spiceeeee! read more

The house made guacamole is fresh. The chips were homeade and thick and crispy. They use purified ice, so do t worry about getting sick from cold beverages. The fish tacos were amazing and they had a 2 for one deal on those. I also had a shrimp taco, al pastor, and my favorite, chorizo with beans and cheese. My wife even had 5 tacos, and that isn't like her. It was fresh and delicious. If you're in Cabo it's just an 8 minute walk from Medano Beach. Get away from all the tourist traps and come here for some amazing tacos and some peace and quiet. Also, the service was very friendly and helpful. They even made me a little habanero and onion mix that I put on all my food. My wife ...not so much. read more

I find it one of the best ways to satiate my need for variety. When looking around for taco shops in Cabo, I found 1 & Only thru TripAdvisor. I wasn't aware, but this is a very small mom and pop type taco shop. We actually ordered one of each taco, so we were able to sample them all. They only have a few tables outside. We were the only ones here, so no problem grabbing a seat. All the tacos were fresh and delish. The fish and shrimp were crispy, the pork and beef smokey. They also have us chips and three different salsas. I actually ordered the passionfruit margarita, but got the tamarind one instead. It was waaay too sweet for me, so I didn't bother asking for a new one as I figured it would probably be too sweet as well. Very cute small taco shop. Definitely worth checking out for a snack. We showed up late and the owner said I'm so sorry, we only have smoked marlin tacos. We are sold out of everything else. After reading all the reviews my husband was up for trying the smoked marlin. It was delicious so I even had one while he was on his second marlin taco. The margaritas were delicious and before we new it we were on our second margarita and the owners, Federico and Zara closed up and joined us. A local, Roberto, joined us as well. Great conversation, tacos and margaritas. One of our most memorable nights in Cabo. I promised to go back and try the fish tacos...that might happen today! read more

These are some of the best tacos in Cabo. The hot sauces are beyond FIRE but they're so good that you just can't stop! 11/10 recc this place- and I heard from two of my uber drivers that the owner, Sara, also is a bartender and makes a mean jalapeño margarita! read more

3rd time is a charm for the 1 & Only Taco in Cabos San Lucas. Yes, you have to come to enjoy the greatest tacos, service, and unique atmosphere. We were delayed due to Alaska's grounding of flights and everyone said "let's go to 1 & Only". It is our third time this trip and I think we hold the record of 28 tacos. So, delays seem to be proving to our great good fortune because the delay by the propane delivery guy enabled us to be treated to their ceviche. Everyone at the table said it was the best they had ever tasted. Come enjoy the tacos!! read more

These may have the been the best tacos I had in Cabo San Lucas! What made this place so special was their delicious homemade salsas (i.e., Chipotle, Mango habanero, avocado, and green). All salsas were packed with flavor and tasted so fresh. Additionally, we received wonderful service and the staff was so kind. This is the perfect place to stop for a quick bite! Although this place isn't upscale or have ocean views, it is super delicious and located very close to Medano Beach (very easy walk). read more

All we can say is WOW! The food and quality of hands down the best. Zara went above and beyond. It's a must stop for us in Cabo. The fish is fresh as can be. The salsas are flavorful and there different spice levels for all to enjoy. Service is attentive and friendly. Don't like seafood?no problem- they have a good array of menu items. Super casual- grab your flip flops and get over there! read more

We have been coming here for 5 years. Great service and the best tacos on the planet. Gets fresh seafood every morning. Smoked Marlin is the specialty. The guacamole is awesome. Don't be fooled by the modest environment, the tacos are simply amazing. read more

The owner was super friendly. The menu was simple which I loved. The smoked marlin tacos were excellent! I would go back there again for those alone. This was one of the few places in Cabo where I really enjoyed the food and would visit again. read more

This small family-owned taco place is amazing. It's tiny and they treat you like family even if you just met. We are vegetarian and LOVED their veggie tacos. They were amazing! They make the chips fresh every time. We didn't find this until our last day and wish we would have found it earlier. When we return to Cabo, this spot will be first on our list! Well, I wish I could agree with all the other 4 and 5 star reviews, but the day we went was just so-so. The fish was fresh but the tortillas were cold and broke apart while trying to eat the taco. To me, the tortilla prep is just as important as the Other ingredients and for me that day the tortillas totally failed. The owner is friendly and helpful. The place is really a hole in the wall storefront with 3 tables inside and 3 or 4 outside. We were eating our meal while being attacked by flies. I have had better tacos in Cabo and Gardenias is still my favorite. read more

As a Southern California Native, I have high expectations for fish tacos. Unfortunately, these were underwhelming. It made me even sadder that a couple next to us was raving about how great the tacos were. I guess if you've never had fish tacos, these would be great. For us, they were not. The breading although freshly fried had no seasoning or taste. I found the taco overall very bland. It needed salt. Something. The lemon helped but not enough. The biggest pro for this restaurant is that the food tastes fresh and the service was good. I wouldn't recommend this place to fish taco lovers. If you're new to fish tacos, it'll do. read more

Went for lunch with friends. Everything was fresh and so yummy. If you have cash and in the area it's a must! We will be back CASH ONLY 4 adults all had a soda, tacos and nachos to share for $49 US dollars. We will be back read more
