Valet parking right in front . The nicest servers and bussers. Great recommendations . Only negative I have to say is that it's quite warm even with fans. The food is phenomenal and the service can't be beat. We didn't even get to take pics of some of our items. We also ended up ordering more because it was all so delicious and we just had to try other items. The biggest surprise was the tuna taco. You can't not order the bone marrow taco. Our favorite item of the night was the miso clams but everything was amazing delicious.
Be sure to make a reservation here if you are visiting during peak or even near peak season because this place fills up fast. We got incredibly lucky walking in without one and were able to grab a table thanks to a no show. This spot is all about the tacos, and they go well beyond your standard pastor. I tried the duck mole taco and a braised beef taco with a peanut sauce. Both were flavorful and unique, though the beef could have used a bit more sauce to really bring it all together. Service can feel a little chaotic, so it helps to be ready to order and to be VERY clear about what you want. Once everything lands on the table though, it is worth it. I finished with the churros for dessert. They were decent but a bit too hard for my taste. Overall, this is a great taco spot with creative options and definitely worth checking out if you can snag a reservation.
I wandered into La Lupita Taco & Mezcal the way a man wanders into trouble casually, innocently, and completely unprepared for what happens next. Now let's talk about the mole. Proper Mexican mole the kind built from dried chiles, nuts, seeds, and even a whisper of chocolate thick, dark, mysterious stuff that tastes like it took a committee of grandmothers three days to invent. I took one bite and nearly wrote home about it. Rich, smoky, a little sweet... the sort of sauce that makes a man pause mid-chew and reconsider every sauce he has ever trusted before. Then the tacos arrived, and that's when things got serious. These weren't tidy little tacos meant for polite company. No sir. These were the kind where the juice runs down your hands and you stop worrying about manners because flavor has taken command of the ship. La Lupita is known around Cabo for its creative tacos and massive mezcal selection, and judging by the crowd and the music humming through the place, folks already know the secret. The staff goes the extra mile with every little detail, and before long you realize you didn't just stop for tacos you discovered a whole new method of happiness, served on a tortilla.
Great little spot with mezcal tastings and tacos!! The mezcal tasting is served in these little coconut-shell type bowls (but they're not coconut they're smaller but very cute). Open air area although fully enclosed, and they also have an elevated stage above the main dining area which is pretty cool. Had a variety of tacos, but I'll say the cheese taco al pastor is INSANE. Maybe the most flavorful bite you can have. Warning: this taco uses cheese as the taco shell but wow, I was obsessed.
Hands down some of the best tacos I've ever had!! We were in Cabo off a cruise for the day - we got a water taxi to Medano beach and it was a short walk from there. Seating is all exposed to the outdoors, so keep in mind there is no roof over your heads unless you're at the bar or on the very sides of the restaurant. Cozy interior with mood lighting and live music on the second floor. Fast and friendly service. We got miso butter clams to start, and they were so delicious. Super flavorful and fresh. I highly recommend! We got an assortment of tacos, and even their most basic classic pork tacos were so yummy. You can really taste the smokiness in the meat since they cook with a flame. They also give 4 types of salsa with varying spice, and you can pour as much as you want on your tacos. This was the best meal we had in Cabo - don't miss this place if you're in the area!
Great location in San Jose, tacos are bomb! Entertainment along with customer service was great! Resturant was clean and beautifully decorated.
Our Uber driver recommended this place to eat in Cabo. The tacos were great! My fave was the tempura shrimp taco. The soft shell crab tostada and the beet salad were savory. Quick and courteous service. US$116 for 3 people. Pricey but highly recommend. Cool ambience.

Great vibe with live music that really adds to the atmosphere! The service was attentive and friendly, and the food quality was excellent -- everything tasted fresh and flavorful. Prices are more aligned with U.S. pricing, but the experience definitely matches the value. It's a super cute spot for a date night -- clean, cozy, and easy to get to. Plus, you can take a nice walk around downtown afterward to wrap up the evening. Highly recommend!
I had an amazing meal at La Lupita while in Cabo. Grateful that i stumbled upon the restaurant nearby where I was staying and on a walk out to find a place for dinner. I didn't have a reservation but was attended to quickly where I sat at the bar and enjoyed my meal and drinks. To start I had the miso clams, very good! I could have had more of those lol next I had the pork belly and Mexican flank taco which were not your typical tacos from a stand but still delicious and meat was tender and full of flavor. They were so good I ordered one more after (shrimp). To finish off my meal, I had the Oaxaca chocolate mousse and this was just okay for me. Everything else was amazing! Food, ambiance, service. I would definitely go back if I'm in Cabo again for a meal here.

I really love the wide variety of menu they have. Pick a protein and they've got a well crafted flavorful taco for it with unique sauce/slaws, etc. My favorites that I've tried, in order, are 1) cheese crust pastor, 2) pork belly, 3) chipotle shrimp, and 4) chicken mole. However, said from those I've gone with, just about anything you order is fabulous. I especially love this location because it's near downtown yet a few streets outside. The live music coming from the deck above and the open air room makes for a great ambiance. Come on taco Tuesday for buy one get one tacos (on some tacos)! This is one of those restaurants we never skip out on when in Cabo!
I came here by myself for lunch and was seated immediately. The server was super friendly and went over the menu with me, recommending his favorites. I ended up getting the cheesy shell taco, the chipotle shrimp, and the special pork belly. I LOVED the chipotle shrimp. I can eat that again and again and over and over again. Probably one of my favorite bites I had in Cabo. The other two, I can do without. Food came pretty quickly. And they were very nice about cleaning up the table after. It did take them a while to give me the check though so I awkwardly sat there for a while before someone came for me. Would definitely come back just for the chipotle tacos. It's also in a very cute area! Definitely worth a visit.
On our anniversary cruise and docked in Cabo for the day. Of course we were in search of the best food. Walking in felt like an open concept casita. Very warm and inviting. No roof, string lighting and decor, a tree in the middle of the courtyard. Bar on one side. Covered dining tables on the other. Showed up at the perfect time. In between the lunch and dinner rush. Extremely friendly and attentive staff with expert knowledge of the menu and fabulous suggestions. What we ordered: - Peruvian Ceviche (fresh catch of the day) - Shrimp Chipotle - El Takeshi - Al pastor in fried cheese shell - Bone Marrow taco was hands down thee best! My mouth is watering just recalling the melt in your mouth, buttery deliciousness of the marrow sitting on top. Loved the salsa sampler they brought to the table. The depths of flavor and heat were a fabulous compliment to the food. I've seen mixed reviews about La Lupita. I happen to agree with the most positive recounts. Every single staff member from the host to the waiters to the other servers walking around were extremely friendly and helpful. Overall A+ experience. Drinks and food were delicious. And we truly enjoyed ourselves. Will be back on a return trip! read more
Fun spot for unique / creative tacos and good vibes! I really enjoyed some of the tacos, but there were also a few misses as well. We kicked off our dinner with a complimentary cup of broth which was delicious and very umami. Then we got the crunchy volcano off of the appetizer menu plus a variety of tacos: santo pastor, cheese crust pastor, Nayarit style fish, duck with mole, and beef fillet & bone marrow. Out of everything we tried, the beef fillet & bone marrow was a definite highlight -- the addition of the bone marrow adds so much richness and flavor! Other than that, I did enjoy the crunchy volcano tostada and both of the pastor tacos, plus my husband absolutely LOVED the cheese crust pastor! The biggest miss in my opinion was the duck with mole, as I wasn't a huge fan of the hibiscus compote it comes with... After we had our fill of tacos, we ended our dinner with the flan. It was good but the texture was more akin to that of a cheesecake than a typical flan (more dense). Overall it was nice to try the food here, but I did prefer the tacos at Tacos Gardenias! read more
If you're in Cabo, this place is an absolute must-visit. The star of the meal was the panucho--a traditional specialty from Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula that's not easy to find, and they absolutely nailed it. It was authentic, unique, and incredibly delicious. The al pastor taco was packed with flavor, and the cheese-crusted tortilla topped with al pastor was next-level amazing. The fresh fish miso taco was a standout as well, perfectly fresh with an incredible balance of flavors. Don't skip the sides either--the beans and esquite were every bit as memorable as the tacos. Every bite was outstanding, the quality was exceptional, and it's clear this place takes pride in what they serve. If you appreciate authentic flavors with a few creative twists, do yourself a favor and eat here. You won't regret it! read more

I had high expectations coming here. My family and I came on a busier night, waited about 40 min for a table for 6, without reservations. Staff were polite, and they did accommodate us quickly after I went back a couple times to check in on the table during the wait time frame they gave. After we were seated, It took us about 10 min to order and about 30 min for the tacos to arrive. During our wait, we decided to order drinks, which came out quickly and were fine enough. Didn't blow me away but wasn't bad. We ordered 2 cocktails and a margarita. We started with an appetizer of fried oysters, which came out quickly. Unfortunately I would not recommend them. They were small, tastless, with too much breading, and with some kind of hoisin-based sauce, which made it a confusing dish. Underwhelming, to say the least. I will give some credit. The tacos were interesting. There are a variety of options with unique flavors here. It's not traditional by any means, but the flavors and ingredients are thoughtfully put together. Sometimes it worked and other times, it came off extra, and did not add to the overall experience of the taco. I ordered the yucatecan castacan, beef tongue, and spicy lamb. The beef tongue flavors were delicious / beef tongue was also very tender (This probably speaks to my preference for more traditional flavors) , and pork belly was well made. Other hits were the birria mushroom taco and the cheese crust pastor. Others ordered that were ok were drunken barbacoa , spicy lamb , and braised pork. Overall, I think if you want an environment that caters to Americans (think loud music, live music featuring classic rock covers) and non traditional/ elevated tacos, with a pinch of hipster + fusion flavors, this is for you. But I would not universally describe these as the 'best tacos I've ever had' by any means, just a particular kind of taco and experience. The tacos were fine and I am curious about other flavors, but I personally would only come back if there was no wait, not crowded, and I could hear my conversations with the rest of the people at my table. read more

We went here with very high expectations after reading a lot of god reviews about one of the highly rated Mexican spots in Cabo. Definitely Fresh ingredients, tasty dips & well served tacos. We tried all their veggie tacos, but nothing hit the spot. Ingredients did not come together to make it a tasty bite. Server was kinda rude as well, spoiled the overall experience. read more

If you're in Los Cabos and love tacos, do not miss this place! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious, but the Gringa Taco was the true standout -- perfectly seasoned, juicy, and full of flavor. It was perfection. We also had the Esquites (Mexican street corn in a molcajete) and WOW -- creamy, tangy, with just the right kick of spice. It paired perfectly with our tacos. The service was friendly and quick, and the atmosphere was casual but full of life -- just what you'd want from a local gem. I only wish we'd discovered it sooner in our trip! Can't forget dessert! The cornbread with ice cream was 10/10!!! Must try it! Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic, flavorful Mexican street food. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Cabo! I like it enough to come back a second time on the same trip (i really try not to repeat so i an check out more places) close to the hotels. clean live music in the evening. fabulous food craft cocktails. array of yummy salsa's. service was stellar. host friendly and helpful bartenders (i sat at bar both times) was attentive. my favorites was the chipotle shrimp taco! so good! oh and the el torero read more
Came right after my flight for a quick bite. La Lupita specializes in a variety of gourmet tacos. Tacos are sold by the piece and each have unique flavors. I opted for the chipotle shrimp and the beef steak, per the waitresses recommendation. Both were AMAZINNGGG. Note: this is not a hole in the wall taco place, it's a gourmet taco place. Some tacos were closer to $10 USD a piece. Service did not stand out to me so nothing to comment on there read more
Hmmmm okay... nice spot, welcoming staff walking with no reservation at the bar. They had on Tuesday two for one tacos Al Pastor only. The menu is basically gourmet tacos all kinds vegetarian vegan seafood meats. They have an expensive bar menu for drinks. Personally had margarita, but we did see that somebody was enjoying a hibiscus margarita that looked really good.. There was so so a live band playing, playing cover songs...really good read more
A must visit! Outdoor venue with live music and the food was great! We started with Baja oysters, taco dorado and fresh guacamole. The dorado tacos were exceptional topped with sea bass ceviche. Wow. Those fried oysters were unique and delicious. Dinner was all tacos. I had flank steak and marinated pork in a cheese wrap. Both were fantastic. Jess had steak with bone marrow on the side and she loved it! Dessert was good too, with fresh churros and a corn cake with ice cream that was different but delicious. Very good variety of fusion style tacos. Service was quick and friendly. We got there around 5:30 without reservation and they sat us right away with a 1 hour 30 min limit. It was enough time since we had quick service. Ambiance was nice, we sat outside, it was a little warm. They had a few fans blowing air. Would come back. read more

Always our favorite tacos... cheese crust is the most amazing taco ever! The tequila is just better here... love the outdoor/indoor bar. Live music is excellent and the staff is amazing. If you're in Cabo and looking for an incredible spot to eat, this is it! The drinks are top-notch--just keep in mind they only serve tequila, mezcal, and beer. My fiancé got the Americanized Michelada (with Clamato, slightly different from the Traditional), and I had the classic margarita--both were amazing! We started with the Caesar salad (so good!) and then went all in on the tacos because they all sounded too good to pass up. The atmosphere is unbeatable--a live band plays on top of the patio, and while they mix in English songs (definitely catering to tourists), the vibe and food still feel so authentic. But what really sets this place apart is the service. Every single staff member was so attentive, working as a team to make sure we had everything we needed before we even had to ask. On top of that, they all speak amazing English, making it super easy for US tourists. The efficiency, friendliness, and attention to detail here do not go unnoticed! Being from Southern California, we're spoiled with great Mexican food, but this place outperforms in every way. The flavors, the freshness, the authenticity--it's next level! Absolutely a must-visit spot, and we're already planning to bring friends and family when we're back in June! read more

What a fun time here! Low key, brightly decorated large mexican restaurant with live music. We had no reservation, but they managed to move a couple of things around and squeeze us in, contingent that we were up and outta there in 90 min (no problem! We appreciated them getting us in!) We were seen to our table and immediately served water, different salsas and chips. Our waiter explained the menu and made personal recommendations, all of which we opted for and all of which were fantastic. My sister has a shrimp taco and fish taco; my niece a mushroom taco and shrimp taco; and finally I had a milenase taco (thin breaded beef) and a mushroom taco. All tacos were unique and delicious. We all said some of the best and 'different yet delicious' tacos. Desert: Hot churros with chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream. Again/ superbe. churros were piping hot, chocolate was thick and delicious, vanilla ice cream super smooth. On checking my bill I accidentally received a different bill-- but they corrected it immediately once I pointed it out and were truly embarrassed at the snafu. Would for sure recommend to friends and family. Super reasonable... $50 for all three of us. read more
