Good tacos but I felt I waited a lengthy amount of time for them. Also, pricing was poorly lit on their board so you can barely tell. 3 tacos for over $23 is insane, though. It's in a trashier part of town so it follows suit. Not many tables to eat inside either. I'd skip this place again, mainly because of the pricing.

    This place slow

I've been waiting here over an hour and I have things to do I talked to the manager and it seems like or the people that work here and they're taking forever just not just me but other customers and they had complaints and I want to put this on Yelp

I was visiting a local auto repair shop. Rather than sit in their waiting room, I asked the workers to suggest a place to eat. "Tacos Jalisco #2" was suggested. (The guys work in the neighborhood, so they should know.) Tacos Jalisco is a "shoebox" shop. There is the front entrance; the middle section of the floorplan is a small dining room; and the kitchen is in the back. There aren't any windows, so the shop is a bit dark. Things are "a bit faded", but the restaurant is neat and tidy. (The health department placard has a grade "B". But I think this reflects more on the age of the building, and less on the willingness of the staff to keep the place clean.) I ordered three carnitas tacos and a large soda to go. The tacos were set on a Styrofoam tray, which was then covered with foil. A baggie of lemon wedges and radish slices was also provided. The carnitas were tender. The tacos were assembled well; the serving of meat, per taco, was generous. If I have any criticism, the meat could have used a pinch more salt. I won't engage in grade inflation, so I'll give this visit (and the food) a solid 3-stars. However, as I left the area and observed my surroundings, I suspect that Tacos Jaliscos is probably the best food option on this stretch on Pacific Avenue.

Here today 2.10. 23 Hole on the wall they say, it is definitely a good spot. They just didn't have the menu for today shuck!!!! But we ordered birria, wet burrito , and this chick man....ordered cheeseburger. Lol, but it was good!!! With basket of papas(fries). And the horchata was off the hook!! Real deal!!!! The service was very nice, so polite and so humble. When in town, will definitely come again.!!!!!

I LOVE this place. It has a B rating, but they're working up to the A. Their wet burrito is a 10/10. One caveat is that they charge $1 extra for debit or credit cards which is illegal in California. How many $1000's extra do places like these make by charging illegal fees and gouging each customer for no reason? There's also no public restroom.

My buddies and I like munchin on tacos ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ We're from PVE and wanted to find more spots in Pedro to frequent. We stumbled across this joint after scanning Apple Maps for food one night and Tacos Jalisco has a high rating on yelp so we unanimously agreed we had to try it. First off, place is open late which is awesome. Secondly, cashiers are super nice and they take Apple Pay which is clutch. The picture is of the Al Pastor (marinated pork) Burrito, a Pescado (fish, for my strictly English friends) Taco, and a Horchata. Stuff was all gas. Fish taco went CRAZY, in the top 5 I've ever had. The Al Pastor burrito was super delicious but never on the Lords green earth have I eaten a burrito so spicy. My colon was on it's last limb the next day, for real. Horchata was yummy and from a machine I think. My buddies got the Chicharron tacos and sang nothing but praise. For a fair price we were full of good food and that's lovely. We have been back multiple times since then and each time the food is great and the service is nice. I'm sure there are many future visits to Tacos Jalisco but next time I'm bringing a bottle of Pepto Bismol and taking a rest day after.

They have more options for taco Tuesday than most places around and are very reasonably priced. Service was fast and friendly.

I went here on a recommendation on Reddit's r/SanPedro page, and I'm glad I went. The kind redditor…read moresuggested the tacos, so I ordered 3 chicken tacos with a side of beans and rice. There were a few things that really stood out and made me very happy that I gave it a try. First, the red sauce in the salsa bar: very legit! Spicy, but very flavorful! I also tried the green chili/tomatillo sauce, which was also very good and good counter point to the unctuous marinated chicken. And they don't go cheap on the meat. Secondly, the corn tortillas were made in house and were hefty! Very tasty and held together where other tacos need two of the thin store-bought variety to have a hope to stand together. Very good. If I had the tiniest critique, I would say to add a tiny bit more salt to them, but I have a theory why they may go scant on it, and I respect that. Third, the beans and rice: The beans were very simple, but simply good. It takes a lot of guts to make and serve simple pinto beans boiled with salt. I know! What a concept! But simply delicious, and made to complement the rest of the food, and not distract from it. It takes a lot of confidence in my opinion for a restaurant to have such faith in their food to leave some that should be simple, simple. The same was true for the rice: simply well made, not over done with a ton of ingredients. It was well made: the individual grains didn't stick together. And it was unctuous without being overbearing. If I had to guess, I would say that they used broth and chicken fat. Simply good, and a complement to rest of the meal. Now to my theory. It makes sense that the masa would be light on the salt because it is the same masa that they use for pupusas, and the filling for pupusas (I just like that word) is savory and well seasoned. I'll let you now next time I got back and try the PUPUSAS! ;)

The menu was also difficult to read because many of the prices had faded badly -- they really need to go over the board with a Sharpie so first-time customers can actually see the prices clearly. I ordered the birria plate. The portion of meat was very generous -- probably at least half a pound -- and it came with a few standard tortillas, a small bag of chopped onion, cilantro, plus three lemon wedges. It also included a small side of refried beans with cheese on top, which was unremarkable, and some mushy Mexican rice that could have been much better. The meat itself was definitely the best part of the meal. It also came with a small container of consommé, but it was only lukewarm even though I had driven just 10 minutes away, so the food overall could have been hotter. There was only one hot sauce included, and I didn't care for it at all. I also missed the usual fresh radish slices and the standard red or green salsa options that many birria places provide. The food was packaged nicely, but overall I was expecting better for the price. It came to above $18, which felt overpriced for the quality, especially considering there's no dine-in option. While there was enough meat for two people, I personally would have preferred slightly smaller portions with better overall quality and sides. I've definitely had better birria elsewhere, which is why I'm giving this rating.

This one is located in San Pedro on Gaffey St. Walking in, this spot had that old school cantina feel. It had cozy, colorful booths, worn in details and an authentic charm. It just felt like the perfect spot to eat some classic tacos. Simple, no frills and straight up classic. I chose to get my Tacos El Goloso go to favorite the Tacos Dorados de Birria. You can get 3 for $11.99, 4 for $14.99 or 5 for $17.99. These tacos always hit the spot. I love the crispy pan fried taco filled with generous tender beef birria. The dipping consommé is perfect and the side salsa is fire! I am happy to say this San Pedro location is just as good as the Torrance location. Compared to the Torrance spot, this one leans slightly more into that old school feel, but the tacos are just as delicious.
