Perfectlyseasoned, large portions, good amount of meat.20. Meat Breakfast Burrito

    20. Meat breakfast burrito (asada)perfectly seasoned, not too salty good amount of meat to stuffing ratio. I wasnt expecting to like it this much after trying the chips and thinking they're bland and fried with old/dirty oil but the main food made everything great and worth it.

Super fire very flavorful not spicey but very delicious! Clean inside very small and great service

This was honestly one of the worst burrito experiences I've had in Southern California, and that's saying a lot considering how many great Mexican spots we have here. I ordered two shrimp burritos and two steak burritos and specifically called ahead to make sure the steak was fire-grilled, not the rubbery, boiled type of meat some places use. The employee assured me it was fire grilled "steak" That turned out to be completely false. Shrimp burritos: Good luck finding the shrimp. Mine was basically a tortilla full of spicy rice, bell peppers, and onions. I kept digging through it wondering where the shrimp were. Steak burritos: Even worse. The steak was exactly what I asked them NOT to give me; chewy, gummy, low-quality beef that was nearly impossible to chew. Definitely not fire-grilled steak. It tasted like the cheapest meat they could find. To make things worse, the burritos were overloaded with spicy rice and peppers, while the actual protein probably made up 20% of the filling at best. Instead of quality ingredients I got a tortilla stuffed with rice and a few scraps of meat. I wouldn't even serve this to dogs. Extremely disappointing and absolute waste of $60

    Hard shell beef taco

This small, family-owned spot serves up seriously satisfying Mexican comfort food that hits the spot without trying too hard. I ordered a chicken enchilada, a chile relleno, and a hard shell ground beef taco--and every bite felt like home. The chicken enchilada was tender, cheesy, and smothered in rich red sauce that soaked perfectly into the tortilla. The chile relleno was the standout: stuffed, cheesy, and swimming in sauce, it was indulgent in the best way. And the taco? Crispy shell, seasoned beef, fresh lettuce, and a generous sprinkle of shredded cheese--simple, classic, and totally satisfying. The portions were generous, and you can tell this food doesn't come from a freezer--it's made the way it's supposed to be. If you're looking for real-deal Mexican food made with love and full flavor, Pronto's is it.

Tasteless shredded chicken burrito with beans and rice .

I don't know what went wrong? I ordered one crunchy chicken taco, chicken enchilada combo plate and a shredded marinated chicken burrito. So I ate the taco first to run the risk of it getting soggy from the doordash delivery. It was okay. Now the burrito.... so it was combined with beans and rice . Everything was mushed together and there was NO taste/flavor with the chicken. The beans had absolutely no flavor and the rice, well it was just rice. Almost $65 wasted on tasteless entrees. My wife's enchiladas were bland and covered with alot of sauce and cheese. But even that couldn't help the meal. I will have to seek another nearby restaurant that provides authentic, quality taste mexican food next time around. I wish Prontos could have been better.

Albondigas 1 cup for to go

The food is good. It has taste and is clearly fresh made. The "crispy tacos" are not crispy. They are grilled fried, not deep fried so there is NO crisp. The marinated chicken has very little taste. They put veggies in their rice, I am not a fan. The albondigas soup I paid almost $8 for, was a one cup portion with no broth, 3 meatballs and lots of rice. It was the tastiest thing I ordered but $8 for no actual soup?

Simple bacon and eggs and wheat toast, inexpensive tasty and satisfying every time thanks, Pontos and that's just breakfast when I go there for lunch I get the shrimp fajita burrito. You can also get it with chicken or steak. You can also upgrade the shrimp to jumbo extra large shrimp totally worth it. I also have them add refried beans to the burrito is a bomb, literally a homewrecker. They also have ice cold beer and a small patio area that is dog friendly awesome family run business San Pedro style.

El padrino Burrito wasn't good at all had no flavor The steak or asada was horrible.. That's all I ate

The steak was so unflavorable.. actually the whole burrito wasn't good at all .. it looked really good , only ate about half of this burrito and I was out.. cute little restaurant.. but that was about it

Anyone know if they have vegan options?? do their beans/ rice have any lard or beef/chicken broth?? and what about the potato or veggie tacos?

Vegan options not so much, I would recommend a Chuys Veggie Burrito with no rice and no cheese, that leaves you with : Black beans, Grilled veggies, fresh Guacamole and chipotle sauce.

There were a few things that really stood out and made me very happy that I gave it a try. First, the red sauce in the salsa bar: very legit! Spicy, but very flavorful! I also tried the green chili/tomatillo sauce, which was also very good and good counter point to the unctuous marinated chicken. And they don't go cheap on the meat. Secondly, the corn tortillas were made in house and were hefty! Very tasty and held together where other tacos need two of the thin store-bought variety to have a hope to stand together. Very good. If I had the tiniest critique, I would say to add a tiny bit more salt to them, but I have a theory why they may go scant on it, and I respect that. Third, the beans and rice: The beans were very simple, but simply good. It takes a lot of guts to make and serve simple pinto beans boiled with salt. I know! What a concept! But simply delicious, and made to complement the rest of the food, and not distract from it. It takes a lot of confidence in my opinion for a restaurant to have such faith in their food to leave some that should be simple, simple. The same was true for the rice: simply well made, not over done with a ton of ingredients. It was well made: the individual grains didn't stick together. And it was unctuous without being overbearing. If I had to guess, I would say that they used broth and chicken fat. Simply good, and a complement to rest of the meal. Now to my theory. It makes sense that the masa would be light on the salt because it is the same masa that they use for pupusas, and the filling for pupusas (I just like that word) is savory and well seasoned. I'll let you now next time I got back and try the PUPUSAS! ;)

I usually baseline judge a Mexican spot on their salsas and their carne asada. Salsas are not great. I tried all of them and none of them stood out. Their green sauce is over blended and just doesn't taste great. Asada wasn't the best quality and had gristle. Lengua was kind of shredded into pieces and by the end of the taco I didn't really want to keep eating it. Chicken tasted like it was seasoned with a ramen packet or something just odd seasoning.

The menu was also difficult to read because many of the prices had faded badly -- they really need to go over the board with a Sharpie so first-time customers can actually see the prices clearly. I ordered the birria plate. The portion of meat was very generous -- probably at least half a pound -- and it came with a few standard tortillas, a small bag of chopped onion, cilantro, plus three lemon wedges. It also included a small side of refried beans with cheese on top, which was unremarkable, and some mushy Mexican rice that could have been much better. The meat itself was definitely the best part of the meal. It also came with a small container of consommé, but it was only lukewarm even though I had driven just 10 minutes away, so the food overall could have been hotter. There was only one hot sauce included, and I didn't care for it at all. I also missed the usual fresh radish slices and the standard red or green salsa options that many birria places provide. The food was packaged nicely, but overall I was expecting better for the price. It came to above $18, which felt overpriced for the quality, especially considering there's no dine-in option. While there was enough meat for two people, I personally would have preferred slightly smaller portions with better overall quality and sides. I've definitely had better birria elsewhere, which is why I'm giving this rating.
