So I ordered three street tacos and a steak burrito, and the tacos were by far my favorite thing. I could have had about ten tacos and been happy. There's just way too many things wrong here. I ordered the Barria (goat) casidilla to branch out and try somehing authentic. When I pointed out that I got 2 limpy tacos with shredded beef (because that's what it was, soggy soft folded tortilla with shredded beef) I was told it was a goat qusidilla. Since I ordered a plate, my meal came with a table spoon of beans and rice. On the other hand, my friend ordered nachos with shredded beef and got chewey chunks of unidentifiable meat which didn't taste like beef at all, scattered over a bed of tortilla chips. There's so much better Mexican food in Williams there's really no reason to return. I give this place 6 months, mark my date. read more

This place is garbage came here at 6:00 on a Friday evening with my wife and had the worst Mexican food I have ever experienced. Every single table was dirty and there was no one there... My burrito was topped with verde sauce, a very unique verde that our server recommended and she didn't steer me wrong. A little bland. Friendly Service. Great Prices. Clean. Wife and I stopped here on the way to Sacramento and had a couple custom ordered breakfast burritos. We found the staff to be friendly, the place to be clean, but the food underwhelming. Our burritos were, as mentioned above, custom: potatoes, rice, whole beans, cilantro and onions. Unfortunately, neither actually came with the onions we ordered, which may have contributed to the blandness of the dish. On a positive note, the chips and salsa were really good. The salsa was more of a Pico style salsa than traditional, but we loved it. The chips were great, too, although it sucks to have to BUY chips and salsa at a mexican restaurant. The shrimp tacos were awesome! My flauta was ok, a bit burnt. The chicken enchilada was a bit greasy with not enough sauce, but it had generous portion of chicken. My stomach told me to pull over on my way up north for a camping weekend. I was not particularly excited for the impending fast food option, but then Tacos La Barca caught my eye. It was hardly a decision to opt for a few fresh, authentic tacos for dinner. I ordered the asada, carnitas, and cabeza tacos (curiously, I did not see my go-to al pastor on the meat list). About 10 minutes later, the server came out to hand me my small tray of steaming hot tacos. Despite the hot temperature I downed the three tacos in as little time as they took to come out. Usually a subset of tacos that I order stand out from the rest, but in this instance all three meats were seasoned very thoroughly and delicious. The cabeza was a tad flubbery, but overall I appreciated the varying textures. It was the perfect meal to energize me for the rest of the drive. So happy I discovered this hidden classic Mexican restaurant. Will definitely keep Tacos La Barca in mind for future road trips! read more

We stopped here before going home through Hwy 20, mainly due to the high number of stars and reviews. I ordered the adobada burrito and my brother got the carnitas burrito, both were subpar burritos. The good thing is the size of the burritos were huge, so thats a plus. For some reason they were really hot, the aluminum foil was scorching and i'm not sure why. There wasnt a lot of meat with a lot of flavor, more rice and beans that made up the majority of the burrito. We almost pulled up to the Taco Bell, but saw this in the corner of my eye and I'm really glad we passed on the Taco Bell. Was driving from Willows, tired and hungry from a long day at the track. We needed to refuel/nourish our bodies and Tacos La Barca came through! Super clean interior, great customer service, food came out at a reasonable time, and it was delicious! Made a quick stop for take out on a trip. This restaurant is in. A little strip mall with plenty of parking. We ordered two burritos. I was disappointed that they don't have whole beans (only refried) so I ordered my burrito without beans. Not a fan of refried. I ordered a regular garbage burrito which came with three different meats on it. I asked if they could grill it on the outside and add cilantro. She said they already do that. I also asked if they have any mild salsa and she also said it already comes with it. Well my burrito was very tasty. The meats and rice ( only thing on it) were really good. There was no cilantro and the tortilla was not grilled. The salsa was not mild, maybe medium. She definitely spoke English but why did she tell me everything would be the way I want it and it wasn't. We had Chile verde which had outstanding green salsa spiced to perfection. We also had the Caldo de Res a fresh homemade beef stew soup and jamaica drink. Carne Asada was super greasy, the plate had a lot of grease/oil in the bottom. Forgot to give me tortillas but eventually got them. Beans were not very flavorful and dry. Salsa was super spicy and no option for mild. Enchiladas had no sauce on then and had to ask for extra sauce. Only allowed to eat outside and the afternoon/evening sun beats on the patio area. Another couple tried to move a table a few feet so it was behind a pillar and not in direct sunlight and were told they were not allowed to move the table even though it was being moved farther from other tables, not closer. I wished I had ordered one or two more but contented myself with the end portion of my brother's carnitas burrito. I liked that too, but my love is the tacos. And the chef was so kind to make a breakfast burrito for my younger son even though it was the afternoon. We really appreciated it!
