    Fish and Chips, tasty!
    Josh S.

Food: Delicious, hit the spot, well flavored fish and fries. Reasonably priced. Ambience: Western. Hunting. Chill for a mid afternoon. The waitress was friendly, attentive, and helpful. Locally recommended to our group, so wanted to try it as a guest to the area. Specifically for the fish and chips and onion rings (maybe next time). Probably one of three spots to choose from in town, worth a go!

    Pepperoni, garlic, and jalapeno. Bomb!!

We traveled from willows to try there pizza and we were so glad we did! We had pepperoni, garlic and jalapeno. Pizza was bomb! The garlic was fresh and cooked perfectly! Our waitress was super nice, and checked on us frequently. Large pizza, pretzel & cheese, 2 beers, and a coke for 53$, not too bad! We'll definitely be back!!

They have a terrific menu and prime rib on Thursdays.

Ask the Community - Maxwell Inn

Do they have rooms to stay in? All the reviews were about the restaurant and it's an INN too. I am considering staying there if they do cuz there aren't too many inns near Stonyford OHV.

No, they don't have rooms, just a bar and restaurant. But well worth trying their food while in the area. Try Willows for a room if coming from the north or Williams if coming from the south.

This place has it all. You walk in and to your right are 200 plus beers to choose from. On your left is a sit-down restaurant. Further down is a deli counter, a bakery, gelato, and all kinds of local honey, olives, pasta, spices, you name it, and a gift shop. The bathrooms are clean and large enough to accommodate a large amount of people at one time. We decided to taste the gelato while waiting for our car to charge since we already had lunch, but looking at the fact that they make their own sourdough a sandwich would be a great choice for future stops. The gelato is made in house, and I had a lemon which was light and refreshing. My husband had the dark chocolate gelato. He said it didn't have a heavy milk based taste and not really creamy but very chocolaty. The server for the gelato was very friendly and let me taste first. I would stop here again even if I didn't have an EV car to charge.

We always try each other's food! The smash burger was juicy and the macaroni salad was good! My shrimp had a nice grill on it and the coleslaw was delicious. If you're from around here, you've probably eaten here more times than you could count over the years. I don't go nearly as often as I used to, but when I do, it's still pretty much what I remember. Big portions, good comfort food, and a menu big enough that somehow everyone can find something. Breakfast is always a safe bet, especially when you want an actual breakfast and not three decorative pancakes on a plate that somehow cost $25. The portions have never exactly been shy either. Black Bear seems to operate under the assumption that nobody should leave wondering whether they ate enough, and I can respect that. Service at the Willows location has always been pretty solid in my experience. Friendly, casual, and usually quick, even when the place gets busy. It has that familiar small-town restaurant feeling where there's a decent chance you'll recognize somebody at another table before you finish eating. I may not eat here all the time anymore, but it's still one of those dependable Willows spots. Nothing complicated, nothing pretending to be something it isn't. Just a big plate of food, good service, and a very real possibility that you'll need a nap afterward.

I paired it with onion rings and ranch, because if a restaurant can't nail fried onion rings, that's a red flag for me. The burger is a 1/3-pound patty and was actually a bit bigger than I expected, which was a nice surprise. It came cooked medium-rare, exactly how I like it. Juicy, flavorful, and topped with crisp lettuce and tomato. The only small note is that it could've used a little more burger sauce, but honestly, that's minor because everything else was on point. The bun was toasted yet still soft--perfect balance. The onion rings were excellent: crunchy, lightly salty, and clearly fried right. And the ranch? Legit restaurant ranch--not that Hidden Valley bottled stuff. Washed it all down with an unsweetened iced tea, which hit the spot. Overall, a really solid meal and a great example of why sticking with the house burger can pay off. Would definitely order this again. Next time I'm definitely gonna try a cheesesteak or the San Francisco burger, which has bacon avocado on grilled sourdough. Thanks for reading!

They even offered to stay open later for us to dine in. We didn't want to do that to them so we opted for takeaway. We both had their San Francisco sandwich with a fried egg (I got sweet potato fries and the hubby got tater tots). It was exactly what we needed after a long day of driving. That food was comforting beyond reason and we were two happy campers when we got back to the truck and enjoyed our meal. It's hands down my favorite sandwich, but we are going back again sometime to get those shakes!

I ordered the huevos rancheros with both green and red salsa. The green salsa was okay, but I didn't care for the red, and the dish itself was bland and definitely needed some salt. My husband ordered a basic breakfast, which was fine but also needed more seasoning. The hash browns were probably the best part of the meal. Unfortunately, given all the hype, we expected more.
