We ordered 2 orders of churros with hot chocolate, chumprado (corn drink) and chamomile tea. Within minutes, our food was served. The churros were dusted with just right amount of sugar & cinnamon. The outside is crunchy and the inside with just right amount of chew. Paid with any of the drinks, it was prefect snacks or desserts. While they do serve food, I feel like it's an add-on to the menu. When our server brought over my husband's drink, she made a grand show of pouring the milk up high into my husband's coffee. I just wished I had gotten a video of it but it was definitely very fun to watch. My husband said his coffee was good (I didn't have any because I am not much of a coffee drinker). Combo 1 with Grande chocolate drink, $155 MXN ($8.98 USD)- So this combination comes with 4 large pieces of churros, 1 dip of your choice and also a chocolate drink. I ended up choosing a Mexican hot chocolate, which is made with cinnamon and sugar. Surprisingly the drink wasn't overly sweet. And really was perfect to dip my churro into the hot chocolate. For the dip, I picked cajeta, which is caramel made with goats milk. The cajeta was excellent with the churro. I don't know if this was the best churro that I have ever had, but it is definitely one of the top ones I have ever had. My husband also enjoyed the churros and the cajeta (he also liked my hot chocolate too). --------------------------- (Total= $209 MXN or $12.11 USD prior to tip) Wait time for our items was pretty quick. We waited less than 10 minutes for everything. Also credit card is accepted so my husband paid (We have the Costco Visa credit card which does not have a foreign transaction fee, which we used exclusively when we were not paying cash). Our server brought a card reader machine to our table when we were ready to pay (for those of you unaware, in Mexico, you will not be brought your check until you ask for it because it is considered rude to give it to you beforehand, assuming that you are being rushed). This business I found out later has multiple locations and is one of the most famous churro shops in all of Mexico City. I really enjoyed them so much-their churros are made fresh all day I liked that this location was super clean and had plenty of tables to sit to enjoy your freshly made churros and coffee drinks. Speaking of coffee drinks, they have excellent coffee as many a mornings on this trip started with coffee from El Moro. Their churros are very inexpensive as they run about 16 pesos($0.95 USD) each.So we always grabbed a few every visit. The churros had a really good size to them and were just doused in cinnamon and sugar-they tasted perfect both sweetness level and texture-wise.
