Some of the best tacos from a food truck in the valley! Top-notch service! Nice outdoor ambience.

God bless Mexico. I think this food cart is a great example of Sonoran Mexican food. As opposed to California, TexMex, or New Mexican. I ordered the Vampiros and they came loaded with meat. Like too much meat for the taco. You can't be contain it all on the tortilla. It was a nice pico and fresh onion on top. The plate came with cucumber, roasted jalapeno, grilled onions, and a lemon wedge. Oh and you get a little side of guac. All the extras are nice details. Add a jarritos and it's a really nice meal. Three Vampiros with my Jarritos was $10 all together. Not cheap but not expensive either. Nothing was spicy but each table is supplied with tapatio, salsa huichol, Valentina, etc. They have plenty of parking and clean picnic tables to sit and eat. There's a used tire yard to the north and Van Buren to the south. All in, not a bad place to take a lunch on a nice Arizona spring day.

Why is Phoenix so dang hot ??? I'm sorry , I just had to ask that real quick. Anywho... I walked about a half a mile to this little oasis to grab something to eat while the boys fixed my truck. With my broken Spanish I ordered a veggie burrito and strawberry jarritos. The super sweet ladies gave me the bottled water just because. (I'm sure they know how freaking hot it was out there ) Thank you ladies y'all are really the best! It was the flavors for me! Everything tasted authentic. The tortilla had to be hand made, idc what anyone says that's my story and I'm sticking to it! If I ever swing through here again, one: it would be too soon but two: I am coming back for round two on that burrito. I am giving this Food truck a 10 out of 10! As far as the actual burrito is concerned I don't even think you can tell how big it really is from the picture but you're getting a pretty decent size meal for little to nothing on the cost. I was really full. I loved how they are just located right at the corner so you can't miss them. Make sure you stop by if you want some really tasty food!!

Hola Taco friends! I stumbled by this little truck next to a tire shop, During the week days it's always poppin' w/ hella work trucks. If the raza eats here, you know I had to stop and try it! I ordered individual tacos of different meats : Tripa,Carne Asada, Al Pastor, and lengua. The tacos have a double tortilla, about palm sized, and come dressed with salsas, cilantro & onion, and a side of some limes, pepinos, and a half of a toreado jalapeño. They have aguas frescas and bottled Mexican cokes. My favorite taco was the lengua due to flavor and tenderness and my least favorite was the al pastor, mostly due to the flavor and consistency of the red sauce utilized as marinade. They had my meal out in less than 10 mins!

Must try tacos! I have been here several times and each time I am stuffed and satisfied. Located in front of a tire shop, this is definitely worth your time and taste buds. Friendly service, friendly people, this food truck is undefeated. Try the asada, pastor, and chicharrón tacos!

    Una torta de Cubana! Delicioso!

This food stand serves up really tasty comida (food). I love this sandwich (la torta de Cubana) :) The staff are friendly and seem to really enjoy what they do. I'm looking forward to trying some other menu items soon! Muchas gracias, mis amigos!!!

    Carne Asada Vampiros

Does look like much but a regular food truck but these are some of the best vampiros and tacos I've had in a while! I have driven 40min+ to have them. Definitely delicious!

    Fred L.

This taco stand is more than that. The food is very tasty. The price is just right. Favorite are tacos de al pastor and tortas (al pastor for me). If you want authentic, tasty, delicious Mexican food, this is the place for you! The employees go out of their way to ensure you have a great meal. Free grilled onions and ranchero beans. The horchata is home made no powder! "Delisioso!"

the tacos are really good and the burritos are relly good I recommend trying these things

So you come in the side door to the dining room . Wait staff all greet you and guide you to the dining room, festooned with roses and talavera tiles. It's not kitschy, just gorgeous. The menu is ample and you can't go wrong with anything. The initial refrito dip, tho yummy, has pork. But they have the best, the absolute best black beans!! Try them just for a change. The restaurant is inside of an old brick home with wood interior and warm colors. The service was good-- friendly and food came out at a good pace, we were checked on regularly. We ordered an appetizer and then entrees from the lunch menu. The aguachile appetizer is SO good. It's bright, fresh, and has a lot of flavor in the green sauce. It reminds me of a ceviche type dish due to its raw butterflied shrimp that is marinated in the house made chile serrano & cilantro citrus sauce. It was awesome. We were also given free chips & house made bean dip. I ordered the mixed two item plate with a chile rellano and taco corazon (grilled taco dipped in a red chile sauce, stuffed with shredded beef & melted cheese. Topped with grilled onions). The black beans and rice is also tasty. I tried a bite of the other dishes, and I also really liked the brightly colored spinach & cheese enchiladas with pink sauce ( signature beet sauce). I look forward to trying other items from the menu, I was eyeing the steak Mexicano or red snapper. Those dishes sound good for dinner.

This restaurant is centrally located near the ASU campus and offers generous patio seating in addition to their indoor dining area. I was greeted upon entering and since I was dining alone I decided to sit at the bar. I didn't realize you were supposed to order at the register at the bar, but the bartender was kind and took my order from my seat at the bar instead. I started with chips and salsa, which came with guacamole but I'm not a fan so I didn't give it a try. The chips were perfectly cooked and seemed to be house-made or at least a high quality chip as they were thick and had a good salty flavor. The red salsa had good flavor but mild spice. The green salsa was bright and had a little kick to it. I wasn't super hungry, so I only ordered one chicken taco (without the avocado salsa). The taco was pretty good, although I was anticipating a chopped grilled chicken but it came with more of a pilled marinated chicken. Still good, just not what I expected from a more "authentic" taco. I also missed having a salsa bar with toppings (onions, pico, etc) that you can add. Instead these tacos came as designed by the chef. I also ordered the mango and original house margaritas, both were refreshing and hit the mark with the chips and tacos. They had a $5 margarita for a special as it was Monday, but my margarita was full price. Not sure what the difference was, perhaps a lower quality tequila? This is a great spot for a quick bite or a light happy hour. They are newer, so show some local support!

Out of all the restaurants I had before leaving Arizona, THIS ended up being one of the places I couldn't stop thinking about after I moved away. Ever since leaving, I've randomly craved these tacos constantly. I've tried other taco spots in Denver hoping something would compare, but honestly nothing really hit the same. So when I came back out to Phoenix recently to visit some friends, this was one of the first places I knew I needed to come back to because I had built it up so much in my head over time. And somehow... it was just as good again. The meat tastes incredibly fresh, flavorful, and well-seasoned, and you can literally watch them prepare everything right in front of you, which makes the whole experience even better. There's something so satisfying about seeing the tacos being made fresh instead of food just appearing from the kitchen. You can tell they care about quality and consistency. The servers were also super friendly and welcoming both times I came here, which honestly makes such a difference. Everyone had great energy, the service was quick, and the whole place just feels inviting and authentic. I honestly think the fact that I remembered this place so vividly for so long says everything. Usually when you revisit a restaurant after hyping it up in your head for years, it ends up disappointing you. But this place tasted exactly how I remembered it, fresh, flavorful, comforting, and absolutely worth the obsession. Safe to say this place is officially a mandatory stop for me anytime I'm back in Phoenix now.

Also bring a group. The portions are huge and the food is clearly meant to be shared. Trust me on this one, bring friends. I've tried a bunch of dishes here, and there are a few I always go back to. For the table, Camarones Locos is an easy choice. The flame grilled shrimp comes out hot and full of flavor, perfect for passing around. La Patrona ceviche tower is massive and worth the order. When it hits the table, you immediately feel good about the decision. El Pulpazo is technically an entrée, but we always order it as a shareable. The octopus is grilled perfectly and it comes with rice and beans, so everyone gets a little of everything. For entrées, my number one pick is the Lobster and Crab Enchiladas with green sauce. I think about this dish at least once a week. The enchiladas are packed with lobster and crab, and the green sauce ties the whole thing together. Honestly, I could talk about this place all day. Our party arrived right on time for our reservation, but we were not seated until 15 min later because our table was not ready. It took about an additional 15 min to get tap water for the table (there was not enough provided anyways), and to place our orders too another ~20 min. The food did not arrive until 30 min later. For context, we eventually learned that the restaurant was short staffed and the bartender was also operating as our waiter. When the food finally arrived, there was a mix-up on what was delivered. We had checked with the staff who delivered one of the dishes: we ordered the "wild mushroom" side, but what we received did not look quite like it. We asked clarifying questions x2, but were assured, "no, it is the wild mushroom." Turned out, it was the mushroom empanada that was delivered to our table, which we originally did not order. The management did rectify the situation upon the conclusion of the event when we were paying the bill, but to us, it felt a bit accusatory as if we intentionally wanted to cause a huge fuss about the final total, which was absolutely not the case. The food in general was delicious. If this was a more standard dining experience, it would have been 4-5 stars just for the food. The service was very subpar, and really colored the entire experience negatively, therefore the two star review. I understand that staffing shortages happen -- fine. My family has worked in food service as wait staff for 25+ YEARS, so I am empathetic.
