Really great tacos, really okay service. I stopped by after visiting the Tillamook factory and ordered a few tacos. They were street taco size, so not super filling. Flavor wise, they were so fresh and delicious. The salsas were all really great (shoutout out to the habanero salsa- SO good), but the service was just meh. So this is going to be a mixed review. First, the food. The tacos I got were good flavor but on the dry side. I got carne asada and adobada tacos. The carne was dry but good flavor. Adabada was a step above the carne asada. Now the sides were not good. One single radish for 4 tacos, and my wife got 4 tacos with NO radish, I don't know why. Grilled onions were great and limes were juicy. Now here comes the service. So the service was abismal. I first ordered 5 tacos in line, no one behind me and one person in front of me. I ordered and the lady repeated it back to me and I said correct, so I get to the window and she pulls up saying "you had the ten tacos, correct?" And on the fly I just said yes because I didn't want to be cause a problem or have them throw them away but not happy I had to spend another 15 bucks. Also, I came the day before and tried to get tacos and the lady gave me a chicken quesadilla. So clearly the workers are not organized or care to make sure the customers order is right. So just go with caution that you might not get what you ordered, or just open your order before leaving like you do when you go to most fast food restaurants. Used to love eating here. A few times we came to Tillamook craving Mexican and they were closed, and we were actually bummed. Having said that... Improvements could be made when it comes to customer service this time around. When a customer asks for salsa for a to-go order or left overs, the accompanying salsa for the MEXICAN food should happily be given out. NOT, "Thats going to be a 50 cent charge per salsa container," the size of my thumb. Let's be fair, eating a burrito without salsa is like eating sushi without soy sauce! If this place was more generous with their salsas, I would have been happy to give them another star because their food really isn't that bad! Granted, I ordered an adobada burrito and they made an asada one, I let that slide- and then the audacity when I asked for a Togo salsa cup for the 1/2 burrito I didn't finish and the girl tells me it's a charge. I truly enjoy the food cart/truck scene but seating & the elements oftentimes make the dining experience less than enjoyable. This place however is my nirvana. Affordable prices, good portions, convenient location right on 101, outdoor & indoor seating (for the frequent unpredictable blustery coastal weather), self-serve sauce/salsa station & tasty Mexican food. There's probably a half dozen Mexican food carts in Tillamook, many along 101. And I'm sure most serve good food but this place was excellent in every way. We ordered two 3 enchilada plates, a Tres taco plate, and a burrito....plus a Tres Leche cake. The burrito must've weighed over 2 pounds! The enchiladas, specifically the meats therein were especially flavorful. Plus there were 6 different sauces/salsas if you wanted to spice things up even more. This is probably one of the best tacos spots I've ever been to!! Tacos La Providencia is located in tillamook, Oregon. They offer indoor seating, outdoor seating and drive through. The food was incredibly fresh and flavorful. We had chicken, steak, pork and shredded beef tacos and all of the flavors were good, but my favorite was the steak and shredded beef. The Sauce selection was wonderful. Prices were very fair for quality and portions. The service was quick despite how busy they were for lunch crowd on a Friday. We can't wait to come back! read more

I almost never feel compelled to write a yelp review. We stopped in here on a Saturday night while on vacation and I'm so happy we did. I got the burrito Linda with chicken... BEST burrito I've ever had. Very good size for the cost and, with the onion and cilantro, felt fresh. We also loved the guac and all the salsas they offered. This place never disappoints me! Their sour cream is my favorite!! It's the second time I am here and I just love the food and the seating area. They have plenty of vegetarian options and the order is usually pretty quick. Both the times I have been here, it was followed by a long hike or a long drive that is very demanding and I usually end up going very hungry to this place and gulp on all the food !! Or sit down at a picnic table under cover of a very tall and partly open cabana shielded from Tilamook winds was the ticket for us. Very inviting vibe for our lunch! The first day in Tillamook, on Monday, the hours posted online are incorrect and they were closed. So, came back on Tuesday. When you come to the food truck there's a drive thru side and the other side is for walk ups. There are benches behind the taco truck and also inside the building on the same lot. Service was quick. However, if ever back in the area, i wouldn't stop here again due to the food. Carne Asada Nachos: - The shredded cheese wasn't melted when we received it. Just cold and placed on top. Imagine in Tillamook... getting bad cheese. - I was disappointed in the freshness of ingredients. We're in the middle of endless working farms and gardens all around. But, everything was canned/store bought. The jalapeños on top are straight from the can. The pico didn't taste fresh. - Flavor and seasoning lacking from the carne asada. - Rating 2/10. I've had better nachos from Taco Cabana. 6 Carne Asada Tacos: - The biggest thing, all the tacos were filled differently as far as meat:topping ratio. Either it had no meat or no onion and cilantro. Tacos were inconsistent. - The white corn tortillas taste store bought. - Carne asada was dry and lacked seasoning. - Rating 3/10. Chicken Taco Combo: - The chicken was better than the carne asada. It was moist and had some seasoning. - That rice, in that left corner of the plate, was white rice with a thimble full of tomato sauce. This didn't even taste close to Spanish rice. It was basically just red colored white rice. - Refried beans tasted out of a can due to the metallic taste and lacked flavor. - Pico de Gallo tasted like nothing. Couldn't taste the onion, tomato, or cilantro. Pico de Gallo can be seasoned too... - the inconsistency of filling presented in the chicken tacos too. Either overload of meat or overload of cilantro and onion. - Radishes given with the plate we're DRY. Like kettle chip dry. - Also in the combo was a slice of tomato and bag shredded lettuce, not sure the purpose of it being there. It's not a salad, and in all my years, I've never put tomato slices to top a taco. - Rating 3/10. The salsa: - I chose the spicy. The heat felt powder created (cayenne pepper, etc) and not from the ingredients. Out loud when first tasting it, I confused it with marinara sauce. The consistency and initial flavor taste just like marinara. I thought maybe I receive some cheese stick sauce. - Rating 1/10. I'd prefer store bought salsa. Overall. Even being the only taco shop in the area, even with a craving, I wouldn't stop in again. The food was a poor edition of Americanized Hispanic foods. read more

What really impressed me was the atmosphere, they have a open covered area, enclosed area in adjacent building and very nice clean bathrooms. Really clever setup for summer or winter. Then I noticed the drive-thru... which could get interesting if there are some large orders but overall very clever. With locals and tourists both coming, they've clearly established themselves. Tacos La Providencia is a popular little drive through food truck in Tillamook. The line for this joint curved around and out the parking lot and it was worth it! For $10 or less, you can get a ton of food. The flavors are pretty good, but definitely get salsa on the side (we panicked and made the mistake of not getting any)! My favorite dish was the beef tongue taco. The beef tongue was super juicy and flavorful. Would definitely visit again the next time I find myself in the area! read more

Great drive through concept. We went there on a stormy day and the service was still exceptional. I got the enchiladas and my boyfriend the taco combo. My Enchiladas were moist, well balanced, and super tasty. His Tacos had lean meat and well seasoned. It can be hard getting good food on the Oregon coast. A lot of the restaurants have the same 8 fattening things, usually including pork belly, steak, fried fish and chicken, and creamy pastas. This place had good, fresh food at okay prices. They screwed up my order but fixed it quickly. There is a covered concrete patio that was obviously installed during COVID. There is also a quirky little building with tables (but not table service) on only the second floor. It has windows and is probably the only place one could escape the elements if they got harsh. The other side of the food truck has an incredibly busy take-out window and I didn't see them park anyone to the side. This would explain why the line of idling, stanky-ass cars is so long. This means that your patio dining's constant soundtrack is the low rumble of engines and the occasional exhaust smell. I sense a localized hole in Earth's ozone layer above this place. read more

I ordered the Veggie Burrito ($5.75) without cheese and sour cream... it was delicious! Beans, rice, avocado, salsa, and more made for a large, very filling burrito. Add some of their avocado sauce and you'll think you're sitting on a beach in Baja. If you're in a hurry, go through the drive-through but if you are looking for a quick meal with a large seating area, under cover, this is the place for you. After downing my first taco plate, I felt like I could've eaten all of the tacos they had. ALL OF THEM. Ridiculously good. Enjoyed the extras salsas too, aided by a nice color code sign to let you know which are HOT and which are not. I don't think this place even qualifies as a food truck anymore! They have a legit covered patio built off of the truck, a separate out building for drive up to-go orders, nice restrooms and a nice sized parking lot. All-around: A++++ read more
