I ordered the smorgasbord and the crunch was perfect, it was all really flavorful, and the fries amd mac salad are amazing. We also got the burger basket, it was equally as flavorful and the bun was so soft. So much food, at such a great price, and nowhere else is the Rogue Valley will you find fried chicken like this. Well, folks, I finally stopped at Freddie Lee's Seafood and Smorgasbord! I'm so glad I did. I met Freddie Dunbar and I asked him what everyone loves, so he made me shrimp! I got the five piece, and it came with a pile of amazingly seasoned fries and some homemade Cole slaw. He also gave me some hot sauce (it's like he knew me!) and his homemade dipping sauce. Oh man, all of it was so delicious! While nothing NEEDED to be dipped, the sauce was too good not to be used. I saw a fish sandwich on his page and it looks MOUTH WATERING. And you best believe I'm coming back to try that chicken. (As you can see I've been back for the chicken) Here's another experience of mine at Freddie's- Oh man. Freddie has spoiled me! I'll never eat at KFC again. You could seriously sell the skin off this chicken for loads of money! The flavor is amazing! The chicken was so tender and juicy, I didn't even use sauce! The coleslaw always hits the spot, but there's something about the mac salad that has me hooked. It's almost like he mixes the cooked egg yolks in. So delicious! The bomba tacos also took me by surprise, I would take those tacos any day of the week. You can smell the aroma permeating the air with the grilled chicken sizzling. We ordered the asada gourmet tacos $10, asada burrito $10, and Combo 1 pork pupusa with fried plantains and rice & beans $5.50. My favorite was the pupusa. Soft, cheesy, and good flavor. The sides of salsa were sooo good with everything. Their tacos came with handmade tortillas and the "guacamole" was perfect. Again, add some of that salsa with it. Now, I don't typically like my asada burritos with beans, so I asked if it could be made without it. They said the beans were mixed with the rice. I decided to just try it in the burrito. The rice & beans was soooo good, even on its own! Black beans is definitely the way to go. I was also surprised that I liked the fried plantains. I've tried a it a couple times in other places in the past, even a few spots in Miami. However, I was never really fond of them. It's still not something I would regularly order if it wasn't included as a side, but this place was the best I've ever had.
