I came here once before about a month ago and was pestering my friend about the name. She didn't know, but she knew the location and we ended up driving here last night. When I tell you I love this stuff I mean it! I've been on a personal hunt for the best steak and shrimp fries and this one is it so far. Not skimpy with the shrimp just how I like, extra for the avocado but it was an essential item. This is my favorite junk food. $15 per order of it. $2 extra for avocado. CASH ONLY. This infamous taco truck lacks many reviews that it deserves maybe because the name of this truck isn't well known due to the the name written in small print. This meaty fries with tiger shrimp beats every steak fries place I've been too. They're open super late, great customer service, NEVER skimp out on the shrimp or meat and most importantly it's always made fresh!!! Carne Asada Fries?! In Oakland. We drove across the bridge just to try this taco truck out. We didn't think the fries would fill us up, so we ordered a steak burrito to share. This was the best burrito I've had! No sauce needed and the rice was not at all dry! It also came with pickled carrots and jalapeños! I was eating those with the fries. Yummy! On to the reason why we're here! The carne asade fries! The fries itself was still crispy! We brought our own orange sauce from La Vic's, but these fries did not need it. It was so good on its own!!! They have great cheese steak fries here. My boyfriends goes back and forth from Oakland from time to time and I always ask him to bring me back some cheese steak fries. I went by to check out this taco truck and the experience was very pleasant. In addition to my order of three tacos ($1.25 each), their menu also featured burritos, tortas, and burger and fries. My chitlin and pastor tacos were outstanding while the lengua was decent but did not impress. I must say that their pastor was one of the best I've tasted and it was way juicier and more flavorful than any of the places I've been. Service was personable and friendly. It was very considerate of them to put a little bag of pickled carrots and jalapenos in my bag and they were perfect compliments in between each bite. I hope to come back to check out their pastor burrito or torta for my next visit. Don't come here. Over priced food for no reason. The taste is nothing special at all. Sometimes it doesn't taste fresh either, the tacos I ordered had a fishy smell to them (like spoiled or bad). I finally came here to try it after hearing about it online. It was easy to find and there was so much parking. I ordered a carne asada super burrito. It was about $8. We didn't have to wait long either. They gave us jalapeños, carrots, lime and radish with our burritos. The portions are huge I only ate half. I just came but have not been here in a few years. Shrimp and steak burrito for $15. I don't think I would ever pay that much for a steak and shrimp burrito. That's just too much. There sign says $7 for burrito but I guess it's basically $10 . Where are all the good but cheap burrito trucks at. I really don't know what happened to this truck. It use to have the best steak cheese fries in town but every time I've been back its been so disappointing. It doesn't have the same great quality meat (steak) like it did before and frankly it doesn't have that good guilty pleasure taste anymore. I also ordered a couple of steak tacos and lengua tacos on my last visit. I have to admit it was the best lengua meat I've had in Oakland, but the tortillas were so hard that we had to throw most of it away and just ate the meat.
