Came in on a Sunday morning. I had been craving chilaquiles. With a quick yelp search I was brought here. A few options, I went with the chilaquiles carne asada, with the red sauce and a horchata. It was $22 for the chilaquiles. I'm not sure how much the horchata was since I actually didn't see the drinks on the menu. Which is actually my only gripe about this place. I went for the veggie sandwich, served with crinkle fries. The sandwich was presented well, and was a nice blend of vegetables and cheese, on toasted bread. Although I didn't see it listed among the ingredients on the menu, I hit a slice or two of jalapeño, an unexpected reminder of where I was! I went to the taco truck in the parking lot to get a burrito . I asked what comes on the regular burrito I was told Meat , rice , beans , onion and cilantro and cheese I told them no cheese . I live about 25 mins away from the truck . When I get home I see sour cream on the burrito . I tried calling the restaurant because I couldn't not find a phone number for the truck. When a woman picked up I told her what happened and if they could take my phone number down since I work in Oakland and I could pick up my correct order at a different time . She said I would have to come to the truck and tell them I said I live half an hour away and it was already past 10 pm so if there was anything they could do and the fact that I've came to this truck / restaurant multiple times for years there's been times I've gotten stuff from either or so I know they're connected . Anyway the lady was very dismissive and unhelpful on the phone even a little rude . My wife seen how frustrated I was and decided to drive all the way back out there and they guys at the truck were very helpful and understanding and replaced the order with no issues ! All in all the food is always good and mess ups happen when your doing hundreds of orders but there no excuse for bad customer service . I drive past this place EVERY DAY on my way to work and last night I finally stopped in for take out! A little miscommunication at first with the server not allowing us to take out, but rather continue to try to seat us. But after we got through to him we walked up to the cash register to order. Got the combo fajitas and a carne asada burrito. The portions are HEFTY (in the best possible way) and they don't skimp on chips to-go. I do wish they added more 1 oz containers of salsa but that was our bad for not looking in the bag and asking for more. I also LOVED the amount of fajita veggies (some places don't serve enough IMO), but not this place!! Very convenient and will definitely be back!! read more

The inside of the restaurant is spacious and brightly lit from the many windows, and FREE off street parking. What I didn't like was the mixed drinks. As a #StarBartender I didn't approve of the margaritas, too sweet and no balance which you taste in pre-mixes for margaritas. The other thing I didn't like was when the bill came it had a calculation for the estimated tip amount that included the tax. You don't tip on the tax. Now the delicacies we ordered were Pescado Frito, Combo Fajitas and Chicken Quesadilla. The Pescado Frito is the best. Lightly floured and deliciousness from the head to the tail. Get the Garlic butter and Hot sauce that comes with it. I've eaten this Peacado Frito pippin hot and cold out the fridge and it's still GREAT! The Combo Fajitas were grilled with flavorful love. I've been eating them for leftovers at work and folks keep asking me where I got them from. The Chicken Quesadilla was delicious too, however my Daughter took them down the next day. We always eat Family style (We share our dishes) but each dish served could feed 2 Adults easily, 3 Adults if you not starving. The scent of the freshly steamed masa, when the foil packet is opened is like heaven. It's comforting and feels like home. Been here multiple times over the years, mainly for their tacos and burritos. This used to be the best taco truck in the town! The tacos are pretty tiny but they were piled with a lot of meat and everything else. Each bite into them, everything on the tacos would just fall onto your plate since there was just so much piled on. It used to be so flavorful. The tacos now are just not the same as they used to be. The tacos are now bland, while certain bites are salty. Maybe it wasn't mixed properly? For something to be bland and inconsistent, they're pretty overpriced.
