If you're looking for a unique taco place, yet can't eat meat due to dietary restrictions, ima put y'all on Tacos Oscar -- one of the BEST taco spots in the heart of Oakland. This taco place is to NOT be slept on! As I approached this place, the one thing I really liked was how hipster and how modern they made their dining experience. They're really with the political times, but besides that, they take making tacos on a WHOLE another level. Their tacos are a little bit on the expensive side -- but because they're artisan made, that's what MAKES it unique. I tried their vegan broccoli taco, drowsed with their thick peanut and soy sauce. The tortilla was made out of 100% corn and nothing more than that. In addition, their agua fresca is on point.

Order at the window area, food is delivered to your table. Quick service, reasonable prices and a lot of seating. Came for both lunch and dinner services and would recommend for a quick meal or for a place to catch up with friends.

Very solid tacos with cute outdoor seating. The tacos are super flavorful, and you'll get to experience some fillings you don't typically see at your local food truck such as broccoli, butter beans, mushrooms, etc. I prefer their dinner service over brunch, but definitely check out both to try!

Phenomenal food! Don't let the line fool you... moves quickly and you get your food quickly! Very impressive!! We loved all our tacos, their soup is a must and the tostado is bomb... especially the crab!!! Awesome outdoor seating with a covered patio and it was so lovely at sunset great to sit or take to go!

Beware of brunch and dinner menu! Highly recommend the beans and cheese taco for brunch. Very fun ingredients and flavor. Pretty large tacos so it justifies the $5. Fun outdoor seating. You order at the counter and they bring you the food. Make sure to specify takeout if you are.

Still a 5/5! I would give more stars if possible! We always order whatever is on the vegan menu! LOVE that they always have at least 3 vegan options and LOVE that the charred broccoli taco is always on the menu because that is always our FAV!!! Tried the Agua de Melon con Pepino! SO refreshing, especially after a long hike in the Berkeley hills.

I came for a pop up for Sofia who I know who makes the yummy irresistible Coyotas. Arrived a little before 5 and there was already a line forming. I had already met Oscar at pop-up at Missouri Lounge and loved his double decker. Our runner was McKenna who was pretty, efficient and on top of her game Service is superb and plan to slide thru during brunch.

I can see why this is on the Michelin Guide. I got carnitas verde, squash, and barbacoa. The tacos are thick and spongy. Carnitas are soft, barbaboa is a rich tomato flavor. And squash is floral and acidic

I came here on a Monday night around 5pm for a little get together and all of our friends experienced the same bad attitude from all the workers. The workers were on their phones and when we went to the counter to order, she did not say "hi" and seemed pissed off to take my order. When I finished my order, she just said "ok" I thought it was just me but my friends who got there before me said she also gave them attitude. When I received my order, the guy was also rude too. Sad to say I won't be coming back because the taco was actually pretty good. I got the Pork chile verde taco and sweet potato taco. It was hot and very tasty.

Frijoles con puerco, chicken tinga, and chile verde tacos. All of these came with onions, which I'm a bit sensitive to, so ordered without

From the outside, it looks like a straightforward taco truck, but wow was I surprised. I ordered the Carnitas Super Taco, which came loaded with lettuce, cheese, cilantro, onions, sour cream, and guacamole. Everything was fresh, well seasoned, and packed with flavor. My only complaint? You only get one taco per order because I definitely could've eaten another. The Kid ordered the Carne Asada Super Taco and before we even pulled away, she was asking for a second one. That's usually a pretty good sign. We also tried the horchata and jamaica, and both were delicious. The horchata was creamy and flavorful, while the jamaica was refreshing and not overly sweet. What surprised me most was how quickly they got the food out, especially considering how popular this spot seems to be. A few things to know: * Cash or Venmo only * Parking can be a challenge, but it's worth it * Keep an eye out for the new speed cameras in the area Their hours are another plus: Open daily, 9:30am- midnight Overall, this was one of those pleasant surprises that reminds you not to judge a place by appearances. Definitely looking forward to coming back.

They got the steak fries right, but instead of steak burritos we received two chicken burritos. We called to let them know the order was incorrect and the guy who answered insisted that we ordered chicken. We most definitely didn't. He said he would replace them and he asked that we bring the chicken burritos back. This was already an inconvenience because we live 15 minutes away, so gas was wasted getting all the way over there and back. When they were picked up, instead of owning up to his mistake, the guy still insisted that we ordered chicken. Again, we did not. While we finally had what we ordered, the steak burritos were smaller and barely had any meat in them, while the incorrect order were chock full of chicken. So, needless to say, we will not be back.

I'd thought the place had lost its touch, but maybe it was just an off day. Today in May of 2026 I've managed to visit while it's a slow day, and I was pleasantly satisfied with my food. I ordered a Carnitas burrito, and it was just as delicious as I'd remembered it one decade ago. While I was eating the first half of my burrito I was thinking "this is good, but burritos are good.. is it better than other burritos I've had, and why?" Something is different about burritos at Tacos Sinaloa, the food reflects that of some regional tacos trucks scattered throughout the East bay, but they're very distinct in how well they're capable of doing this style of Mexican food. As I said earlier- burritos are good. I think they are good because everything tastes good together, but not all burritos are created equal. The first thing that stood out to me about my burrito was the tortilla. It's not your standard tortilla, and it's nothing extravagant, but it seemed intentional. The tortilla is softer, thinner, and it holds up, but it's not chewy. It's there and it soaks up the oils and it doesn't take away from anything. In my experience, a bad tortilla can make a burrito less enjoyable. This tortilla adds in that it's barely there and it's pleasant because it soaks up the flavors without detracting. On the insides, the beans and rice can give or take away depending on where you get your burrito from. At Tacos Sinaloa on this particular day, the beans and rice did not take away from the burrito. The pinto beans were plum and creamy, and tasted like pintos. No nonsense- they added because they didn't subtract, I could go on about grainy beans or starchy over seasoned bean liquid, but NONE OF THAT HERE. The rice had perfect texture. It almost like 'al dente', but not in a chewy way, it had just enough rice texture and didn't get in the way of the other ingredients. It was mildly seasoned with your classic Mexican rice (aromatic tomato broth like flavor). No nonsense, no unnecessary spices, not over saturated in liquid, or turned to mush. Just good simply season rice. Cheese and sour cream- Salty Mexican cheese, presumably Oaxaca or something similar. Adds little salty flavor explosions throughout the burrito. Sour cream, added tangy acidity that cuts through the fatty ness making it taste more lively. Of coarse, the lovely creaminess. If you're not having your burrito with these I'm very sorry for you. The star of the show- The Carnitas here is just done right. It's not over seasoned with anything, it just tastes like melty delicious braised pork shoulder, then fried to accentuate it with crispy mallard bits that surprise you throughout the burrito. Towards the end of my experience I came to the conclusion that what makes a Tacos Sinaloa burrito good is that its ingredients forward- each ingredient tastes good on its own, and that can't be said for all burritos. It's not a burrito for the sake of being a burrito. All the ingredients seem intentionally chosen so that none get in the way of one another. I want to say they make the meat the star of the show, but even if you were to have a bean and rice and cheese + sour crème burrito here it would be an exceptional burrito, which is a testament to their culinary philosophy. Last but not least- yes they have salsa, and of coarse it's good, and I love that they give lemon slices with your food - it's another small intentional detail that they offer lemon instead of lime. Carnitas burrito 5/5. Sinaloa overall 4/5 because of inconsistency.

The main reason I never went before was the parking situation, which honestly can be a little challenging, but for this visit we found parking down the block and around the corner. The short walk after dinner ended up being nice anyway. We had reservations, although we did wait about 15 extra minutes while another party finished their meal. My family member pointed out they were enjoying drinks, so that probably added some time. The waiter was very friendly, attentive, and clearly trying to get us seated as quickly as possible. Water was brought to the table right away, and our drink order was taken promptly. I ordered the chicken salad and was pleasantly surprised to learn the mango vinaigrette dressing did not contain oils, since I personally avoid seed oils. The salad was fresh and delicious. Some of my family members ordered the buffet, which looked incredible. At first it seemed like too much food for me that day, but once I saw everything included, I started thinking maybe I should have ordered it too since it was only about seven dollars more. They brought complimentary chips, guacamole, and salsa to the table, and everything was so flavorful. The guacamole was especially delicious, and they happily refilled the chips several times. I finally understood why the restaurant is called "Los Moles" because their mole sauces are outstanding. I got to try some from my son's plate, and it definitely made me want to come back and explore more of the different mole options. They also offer vegetarian choices, which is great. Although I am very particular about cooking surfaces, my food is cooked on and in, the Mexican coffee which was heated in some type of who knows what metal, had a good flavor. It inspired me to re-create it at home. Another standout for me was the freshly made corn tortillas served with the meals. They were soft, warm, and incredibly good. I also tried the beans, which were full of flavor. Overall, this restaurant really stood out in my memory, and I definitely want to return someday to try more moles.

Given that background, what arrived at my door was honestly shocking. The burrito was cold, greasy, bizarrely thick and lumpy, and filled with some of the lowest-quality meat I've ever been served by a restaurant. Multiple bites literally had to be spit out. On top of that, the advertised ingredients (sour cream, pico de gallo, guacamole) were completely missing. What arrived was basically a dense tube of cheap rice and rubbery meat. At first I assumed this must have been a one-off disaster. Then I started reading the Yelp reviews. And suddenly a pattern emerged: stale chips, stale tacos, food making people sick, delivery orders arriving wrong or poorly made, hostile service interactions, customers being spoken to aggressively, and an overall sense that quality control has completely collapsed. One reviewer even described an employee asking if they "wanted to fight." Another described disputing charges over incorrect orders because the food quality was so poor. What makes this especially disappointing is that the restaurant presents itself as a serious modern Bay Area Mexican concept tied to an admired culinary name. Instead, the actual execution feels careless, inconsistent, and deeply below the standards the restaurant markets itself on. Restaurants can survive a bad night. What they cannot survive is the perception that nobody cares anymore. Right now, that is exactly the impression Todos Cantina gives off. Frankly, this is an embarrassment to the legacy and reputation associated with the Martinez name. I truly hope someone steps in and turns this place around, because based on my experience (and many others here) things have gone badly off the rails.
