We ordered pastor tacos (5/5), chicken burritos (4/5), asada & chorizo burrito (4/5), nachos (4/5) & a quesadilla (4/5). If you order a burrito, after ordered they hand it to you opened and then put whatever toppings on it you want. Then you pass it back to them and they wrap it up for you. The food is good. However, it's been twice they add a high tip when I use my credit card. I tip when there's good service you do not get greeted. I am driving to get my food. I am adding the sauces to my food picking out my own things. I do not feel that they should give themselves the tip that they think they deserve. Take cash with you is my suggestion. read more

This taco truck is pretty okay. The burritos here are good. They have a salsa bar with a good amount of toppings and salsas. You can get your burrito wrapped by the staff after filling it up, which is a nice touch. The Al-Pastor burrito comes loaded with meat, which is cooked well but not flavorful enough. Solid taco spot that's opened late. Was recommended to us by a local we met at the farmer's market in San Mateo. Tried every taco they had, including al pastor which isn't listed on the truck. We generally don't get organs and were pleasantly surprised by how tasty they were. My favorites were the lengua and tripe while my partner's favorite were al pastor, chorizo, and tripe. Cabeza tasted a lot like lengua for those interested. $3 a taco and an ample condiment/salsa bar. Salsas were pretty bland; would've liked stronger flavors. read more

Hung out with my brother and his family for his birthday and found this place on Yelp and figured we would try it on the late night like 20 minutes ago. I bought the veggie burrito, and the flavor was all there. They make your burrito with your beans, meat, and cheese and sour cream....and they hand you the burrito open and you can put all the Elantra, salsas, radishes, onions, and pico de gallo in it and hand it back to them and the wrap it for you. Tacos Los Compadres is my favorite taco truck in Stockton, California. I just ordered a super burrito, two chicken tacos, with a can of coke for $17.50. One of the great things about this place is that they have a salsa bar with salsas and send your burrito out open so you can add your own amount of salsa, onions, and cilantro, then hand it back and they will wrap it up for you. Meh... This taco truck isn't anything great per se. They have a decent amount of toppings for your burrito but if you're getting a veggie burrito it's basically just beans and rice. Definitely not worth the price point, although not many places have veggies that you can add. However the topping did help the burrito taste good and at some point you forget there's only rice and beans. It would be nice for avocado or onions that could be added. After you load up the burrito they will roll it up for you which allows you to really pack it up. The service is nice and will get your order to you as quickly as possible. 10/26/20-Good late night spot on Wilson Way by Smart & Final. Not the greatest area but they usually have a good crowd and bright lighting so it doesn't feel sketchy while you're there. I've been here twice now and ordered the burrito both times. The burritos have been satisfied the late night craving and haven't had any grisly meat either. The concept threw me off a little because you get your burrito on a plate opened up but it's so you can add your extras such as salsa, onions, and cilantro. You then hand it back where they wrap it up for you and typically offer you grilled onions and jalapeños to put on the side. You can also add cheese and sour cream when ordering if you wish. I believe the price stayed the same at $7 but I could be wrong. If it's the evening (6pm open?) or late night and you're close enough to the area definitely give them a try. It'll be better than going down the street for fast food. read more

I tried this food truck several times before posting this review because I wanted to be fair. This spot is usually busy with long lines of people waiting outside for their orders. I was intrigued and tried to find that one taco that is so good people are lining up for a bite. Unfortunately it never happened, my food was over cooked, extra crispy and sooo greasy and most meats lacked seasoning. Tried the different aguas frescas, and they were watered down the champurrado/ atoles same thing. The pros are this truck opens and closes late, so if many of the other trucks are done for the night more than likely this one is open. It's centrally located, very close to the cross town freeway. It is on Wilson Way so regardless keep your money deep in your pocket and be sure to have a quick get away; yes I'm serious about this. I've been coming here once a week for the last 8-9 months. The food use to be addicting however, the last 4-5 times I've been the food is subpar. From the burritos to the tacos. The asada has no flavor or seasoning with a consistency of ground beef and the pastor is lacking and is usually burnt to a crisp. The only thing saving the burritos are the salsas and topping that you can add on yourself. The homemade salsas are still good but they don't taste how they use to. It's almost as if they sold the truck but not the recipes. Something has went wrong and you would think that the owners would recognize the issue from the difference in business. This truck use to have a long line packed with people where as now, Everytime I go there's maybe a handful of people. I hope they get back to how they were before because I miss it. read more

Our normal taco truck was closed. I saw this truck with a few people waiting on food and decided to stop. The service was great, and by the time I got my food, there was a HUGE line. The lady was very kind. I ordered three super asada burritos and 2 asada tacos. What surprised me was that all extras such as onions, cilantro, salsa, etc.. you had to put on yourself, then give your burrito back to the employee for her to wrap. I found it odd and kind of unsanitary. I still remained positive... most of the extras were gone, so I did not really get to put much on any of the burritos. Taste wise, the meat was overcooked, no favor, and greasy. Worst comes to worse, I might give it another try. read more

So one of our favorite taco trucks weren't there on that sunday we wanted tacos. When ever we drive by Los Compadres there is always a big line so when ever there is a big line it is a good indication that the food is good. It was not the case with Los Compadres, the tacos aren bad but i had better. I think he just gets so busy that he push the food out fast sacrificing taste and good quality taco. Unless you like his food and don't mind waiting 40 minutes for your food the go for it, we will not be going back. read more

I wish more customers would review this taco truck because it is seriously the BOMB. Everything is always Cooked and seasoned perfectly. The plus side is you get to add all of your own condiments. The salsa, onion and cilantro along with radish lemons, cactus and cucumbers. They now have a new truck its a big yellow truck down Wilson way after long john silvers at a tire shop from 6pm - 1 am. Called "Los Compadres" Their food is good and customer service is everything. They make you feel like family. Don't even get me started on the aquas frescas cause they are the bomb!
