I was on my way to Carrizo Plains and needed a bite. Surprised to see a solid taco joint in this part of town! I'm a fan. From most to least impressed: + Lengua taco: This was done really, really well. Lengua can be a hit or a miss sometimes, as it's easy to make it tough to chew, but this was extremely tender and I could've ordered an entire plate of just this. + Quesabirra taco: Really flavorful. The birria was great and pairs well with consume. + Asada taco: I would skip this one because the meat was on the tougher end for me. But the other two tacos win me over. Reasonably priced and the meal came with chips and salsa. Also clean seating and bathrooms with ample parking in the lot. Make this your pit stop if you're ever in this side of town! read more

Our server welcomed us with the update that they had already sold out of chile rellenos. When I ordered agua de Jimica they were out of that too so horchata it was. We ordered chips and salsa but then learned they were out of salsa and would be making more. They did have the tacos and quesadilla we ordered and they were delicious. Our server checked in to see if we needed anything else and we said we were waiting on the chips and salsa. She updated us that they were actually out of the ingredients for the salsa so those wouldn't be coming. I'm glad I checked the stall in the bathroom as one was out of toilet paper. I worry they might not have the cash flow they need if they have such a lean inventory. read more

I always have to get Quesa-Birria tacos everywhere I go and I found this place over in Taft, CA. I got 3 Quesa-Birria tacos for about $12.00. The consumme was delicious and flavorful!! The gal at the front register was nice and helpful. I hope they can get more business they look new to the area and did not look like very many people know about this place !! Delicious flavor. I would recommend calling in your order 20-30 minutes before the time you want to eat. Everything is made when you order so it takes awhile to get your food. The food was fresh, warm & really good. The flautas were good but they were taquitos. Not flautas (flautas are made of flour tortillas) They are garnished with lettuce, sour cream, cotija cheese and pickled onions! Yum! read more

I ordered chicken tacos (I do not eat beef) waitress brought me beef tacos. I said I ordered chicken and the waitress said that I didn't order chicken that I ordered beef and told me if I didn't want them I could throw them away. When we went to pay she still tried charging me for the tacos arguing that I ordered beef. I don't understand why be so rude about a simple misunderstanding but whatever. read more

The service was terrible, we walked in and no one greeted us and the waitress then stated "do you need these" (our menus) so we went to sit down and all tables were dirty, we asked her to clean them and she rolled her eyes and just wiped half the table down leaving tons of crumbs and then she went back to her table and sat down and went back on her phone. read more

The atmosphere is nothing to shout about, but the food was really good. My husband and I both loved our meals. He had the pork chili Verde burrito and I also had a burrito. The portions were good sized and the salsas were just the right spiciness and delicious. The only reason they don't get five stars is because of the Styrofoam plates and plasticware. My burrito was too big and messy to pick up so when I tried to cut it, I also cut the Styrofoam. A real plate with a metal knife and fork would've made this just right.
