    Chile relleno

My grandson and I went for an early dinner during their happy hour on Saturday. They have some great choices on their happy hour food menu but we decided to order off the regular menu the three item combo, he had two cheese enchiladas with rice and beans and I asked our waitress to put the 3rd item, a chile relleno, on a separate plate for me. They have the best chile rellenos! I also ordered their loaded bloody mary, which was fabulous. They also have some special cocktails for saint patrick's day which looked fun. I ordered some green salsa on the side too. I love their green salsa it has little pieces of pork in it from the chili verde and they serve it warm. Our waitress was great.I wish I had got her name. They were super busy with a few parties going on and the happy hour crowd.

Carne asada chimichanga. Eh good not great.

We love this place, always our go-to spot for great food, good drinks, and good service. We've been here several times and have always enjoyed visiting. Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon for a quick bite. I decided to try something different so I went with a carne asada chimichanga. Honestly it wasn't great. Not only was the chimichanga not "stuffed" enough, but the meat was also a bit tough. There's always next time. Secret tip...psst. ask for green sauce with the chips.) I love chips and salsa but this is a game changer!

I felt La Cabana deserved a new review. This place is a regular of ours. We are probably here about once a week. They are consistent in their service and quality of food. The speed in which food comes out of their kitchen is always impressive. Some of my favorite dishes include: carne asada torta, quesabirria taco plate, steak taco salad, and most recently their chilaquiles with salsa verde. Oh and they still have the best house margarita IMO.

One of our Friend's Favorite spots, so we have been in a few times. It's across town for us, so we don't come in regularly. This visit was on July 4th so not much business. Everyone was welcoming and friendly. Decor is warm Mexican Homestead feel. I love a traditional looking place. I liked my Chicken fajitas. Everything was cooked well with nice sized portions. Hubby would have liked his Chili Colorado with a more spicy kick. He enjoys the burn. Had a nice Don Julio 1942 Margarita, and got to keep the cup and little bottle. Chips and salsa were fresh and tasty.

My Favorite place to have Mexican food in town. From the food to the service everything is perfect. It's always like having dinner with family every time we go. Also for some reason the BEST pancakes as well! I have had almost everything from the enchiladas to the burgers. I'm always pleased.

Very good service and even better food! The restaurant is very clean and the staff is very friendly. The menu has lots of options for every taste. I would definitely eat here again. PS: You have to try the deep fried tamales! YUM

Second time ordering and i'm convinced this is can menudo. Small meat and hominy is hard. Taste like CAN menudo or it is. Do not waste your time or money here if you're out looking for menudo.

This place is awesome SO GLAD I DIDNT LISTEN TO THE 1 Star reviews. Food was heaven, fast hot delicious! Drinks had a great kick try the "cucumber margarita!" Had the Chicken Flautas AMAZING!! The people leaving 1 star reviews are just, Haters (look at the demographic) mostly WW and look like they wouldn't know a good time or place if god showed them.

I definitely enjoy the ambiance of the restaurant, which is wonderful. The service is also amazing and the people are usually wonderful here. The food is kind of hit and miss, and for that reason I have to give it 4 stars. Last time I went I had the chicken fried steak and to be honest, I didn't finish it because it was not very good. I've had other food from them in the past and it's been good so I definitely will go again!

Hadn't been here in a while so thought we would give it another try. Everything about this place is just meh. The food, the atmosphere, the service. The place is not cool in the summer and the food is rather small portion for the price. Personally, I think you can get better Mexican food elsewhere in town for a lower cost. Don't think we will be back.

This place was busy but the service is fast, friendly & food comes out quick! The food was bomb! We ordered the Tostadas divorciadas (best of both worlds) Chile Colorado & chile verde! It was amazing. The menudo was good, my hubby ordered the chicharrones with egg for breakfast & let me tell you...they tasted homemade! The chefs got it down in the kitchen. Our friends ordered the 3 item combos and all 3 items on each were good too. Highly recommend this place. Very delicious & it's authentic homemade Mexican food. The cucumber margarita was refreshing as well! Great service guys! Thank you!

DISCLAIMER: if you have a party of 8 or more an 18% gratuity will be added to your bill for you. I went with a party of 12, and they said they could only split the bill in 3... so with those 3 checks and the MANDATORY 18% gratuity they ended up leaving themselves a little more than a 50$ tip!!!! (: We were celebrating a graduation and were looking for Mexican food in town. It's pretty inside but the food was FAR from authentic. Vallartas Mexican food is a lot better in comparison which is sad considering Vallarta is not even the best. For the prices of the dishes you'd expect a lot more. We would've had a much better experience at a taco la villa... We did our best to enjoy the experience but here are some of the commentaries: They had chips and salsa at the tables before taking our orders but the salsa was not spicy and not really like your typical Mexican salsa, it was flavorless to say the least. Two of the people in the party tried chile verde and chilaquiles which they say had no flavor and absolutely no spice. I myself asked for "El Dorado Tilapia" but it was not at all a fried fish... it was a bread crumbed fish with no flavor, they also had a bread crumbed fish on the menu so when I saw el dorado I really expected the fish to come fried, it reminded me of the frozen ready to cook tilapias you buy in store, I had to add lemon to it to make it semi good. The person who ordered the carne asada also said it tasted extremely plain, and it came with no salsa, just a single jalapeño. The beans and tortillas were so plain and not really what you'd expect when eating at a Mexican restaurant.. the only good dish for the entire table seemed to be the quesadilla. The waitresses pretty much took our orders and barely visited the table. At the table there was no salsas or condiments only salt and pepper. I ordered the churro ice cream which was pretty small for a shareable dish, and I had to remind the waitress to bring it out. The other person at the table who ordered ice cream had to go to front desk to ask for it because they forgot about it. When we got the checks we were not expecting the tips to be added for us, the waitresses failed to let us know about the mandatory gratuity BEFORE we ordered. Everyone at the table agreed this place is not worth our money or time, definitely not returning here again and don't recommend this place for anyone hoping for real Mexican food.

Shrimp skewers I was told was okay but even that had more veggies than actual shrimps. The rice wasn't cooked all the way. The presentation on nachos was excellent but the nachos were gross. No flavor in guacamole. Beans were plain beans bland af. The chicken wasn't seasoned and had an awful charbroiled taste, just awful! The salsa weren't spicy or tasty. We were greeted warmly, and while I felt overwhelmed by the amazing choices, the gal taking our order put me at ease by walking me through the menu board.
