Carne Asada burrito and Al Pastor taco combo $12.75
Brittney P.

Good food! If I was driving by I'd go again probably wouldn't go out of my way to go here but the food was definitely good. The chips were the first thing we ate and they tasted like old fryer oil but that was not indicative of the rest of the meal. The asada was delish and the pastor was even better than that! Solid 4 stars Al pastor was one of the best my Mexican born husband has ever had in the US.

I don't know why this place has good reviews. It did NOT live up to what people were saying. I got the "nacho fries," which I've usually seen as carne asada fries. Moving up from San Diego, I was on the quest to find the best carne asada fries in the valley. This place isn't it. When it came, the fries looked promising, being a thicker cut, but all the toppings were not good. First, they don't even give guac. It's some kinda of blended green sauce that has avocado I think. Where's the chunky guac?! The cheese and sour cream kind of tasted off too. Lastly, the meat was SOOOO chewy. Carne asada is supposed to have a nice flavor, but this tasted like all fat. I couldn't even finish it all when I usually do. Also, I asked for the hottest hot sauce to put on top and it wasn't even that hot. This is not the place to go.

For what it is, a hoke in the wall taco joint, this place is great. Good prices. Friendly service. And Absolutely delicious food. My Kengua tacos were flavorful, juicy, and tender. Of my companions chicken tacos, she said "these are the best I have ever had". Menudo served only on Sabado y Domingo. A hsnful of chips comes with every order. Only downside is the poor selection of items in the salsa bar. For instance, no pico de gaio for the chips. However, the marinated carrors were so good that it more than made up for it If you are in the neighborhood, this place makes for a great snack, or a fantastic casual meal. Cheers.

So dissatisfied and disappointed absolutely no flavor whatsoever how is this place still in business I'm sorry but the worst rice and beans I've ever had and I didn't think you could mess up rice and beans so sorry but for sure will never come back.

Yummy asada fries ....... I really liked my food but there was a peace of weird looking none in my food that scared me off and weirded me out .... The people here are super nice .ill come again :) ............ I have to revise my review....... I really didn't want to but I have to ...... Me and my boyfriend both got sick from this place .... And that's all we had together and we didn't have anything after it so ... Such nice people working here too but this sucks

The G.O.A.T. Of all G.OA.T. This is the best tasting menudo ever. Always great portions and taste. If you are ever hungover this is a must to cure it. Forget about water and Gatorade this is what you need.

Went to try this place out just because me and my girl was craving for carne Asada fries. Upon ordering I asked for SOUR CREAM ON THE SIDE, NO CILANTRO. I get a total opposite of what I had ordered. I even told the lady at the register that I ask for no cilantro and sour cream on the side. All I get was "I'm sorry" didn't even bother re-doing our order. To top it off, since we had no choice but to eat it since it was $10.75, we found hair I showed it to them and just walked out.

They wouldn't even answer the phone and their website doesn't allow you to place orders, so they completely lost an order with me.

Best taco spot in the SFV! Best crispy Tripa. They just need to give a little more of hot sauce, jalapeños, Radish and chips.

I rarely ever remember to leave Yelp reviews, but this restaurant was EVERYTHING. The place was…read moresuper clean with such a cute aesthetic. The waitresses were so pleasant and attentive the entire time. Now let's talk about the food... 10/10. We ordered aguachiles, mango shrimp ceviche, tacos gobernador, camarones rancheros, and enchiladas. Every single dish was well seasoned, juicy, fresh, and the presentation was beautiful. Definitely worth coming back for.

A Hidden Gem for Fresh Seafood & Family Vibes!…read more We visited Marisco Corona as a party of six--four adults and two toddlers (under 3)--and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Despite it being a busy spot, we were seated right away, which is a huge plus when you have little ones in tow! The Drinks & Starters We started with the Horchata and the Pineapple Water (Agua de Piña). Both were refreshing, authentic, and clearly made with care. If you like traditional Mexican drinks, these are a must-try. The Food Everything we ordered was packed with flavor and felt incredibly fresh. A standout for us was the homemade corn tortillas--you can really taste the difference! Our table shared: * Mojarra & Pescado al Mojo de Ajo: Perfectly cooked and seasoned. * Lobster Plate: Succulent and generous. * Surf & Turf Tacos: These were a highlight! Loaded with carne asada and creamy guacamole, then topped with perfectly grilled shrimp. Each plate comes with rice, beans, and a side salad, but they are super flexible--we were able to substitute fries for the rice and beans on some plates, which is great for picky eaters or just a change of pace. Service & Atmosphere The restaurant is tucked away in a shopping center, so parking was easy to find, which takes the stress out of the arrival. Even though the dining room was buzzing and busy, our waitress was incredibly nice and the entire staff was well-attended to our needs. Bottom line: If you're looking for delicious, flavorful seafood in a family-friendly environment, Marisco Corona is the place to go. We will definitely be back!

I stumbled upon Monarca on Yelp and we decided to try it out! We arrive and are nicely greeted by one of the employees at the counter. The inside was clean and well kept which we love. My wife and I ordered 2 breakfast burritos and the green chilaquiles. She got the Deluxe burrito and I got the chorizo. We bring them home and open up the bag and these things are MASSIVE! In the best way! We begin taking bites and are both amazed. Me a little bit more. I really really enjoyed this burrito. Maybe because it has rice instead of potatoes, I'm not sure, but it was delicious. My wife also really enjoyed hers; she gave it a 7.5 out of 10. I give my burrito a 9/10. Our chilaquiles were a whole other story and flavor profile. The carne asada that came with it was life changing. Whatever seasoning they used on tha carne asada is perfect. My wife was deeply impressed. The sauce, the chips, the eggs, beans and rice were all very very good as well. All complimented each other very well. If you're ever in the van Nuys area, please stop here for breakfast, you won't regret it!

One meal can easily be split between multiple people. My favorites are the green enchiladas and the spicy chipotle burrito, and the rice and beans are just as flavorful and delicious as the main entrees. Upon being seated, you are served a spicy and cheesy bean dip with fresh chips, and there is a salsa bar inside where you can fill up on your choice of salsas. I sat in the outside patio area in my most recent visit, and while the quality of the food didn't change, the service was not the greatest; my table and a couple of other tables had a difficult time flagging anyone down for refills, to go containers, or the bill. There's also a pretty big price difference between paying with card and paying with cash; multiple menu items were at least 3-4 dollars more if you plan to pay with card. Still, the food is good and if you're craving some hearty and comforting Mexican food, S&B is a good option.
