Ummm..this restaurant has downgraded tremendously since the pandemic, the food quality is not good anymore. I had the costillas with chile, the pork tasted frozen and old. Husband had the tamale plate and I asked him if they tasted frozen or from Costco because that is how the plate looked visually and he agreed that's exactly what they tasted like. Daughter had the enchiladas plate and she didn't even finish it because she said it had no flavor. Son had carne asada plate he had no complaints but he loves his meat. Service is weird, I personally ordered my food in Spanish and the new lady repeats it back to me in English, it was kinda funny but personally annoying. When I am with my kids I do this so that they can follow suit and practice their Spanish even my 14 yr old daughter noticed and said it was weird. Ambiance is no good either the place looks so dated, and the restaurant owner was having her dinner at another table just eye view from the customers table with another patron, it was weird. The cashiers little girls were running around the place and intermittently watched and paused the movie in the background Black Panther, like no music. A server approached the couple and seated them and when i told him i was here before them, ge told me to have a seat wherever i wanted. Horrible customer service!!! I ordered tacos made with tortilla made by made by hand and then my boyfriend ordered his the same. We paid and sat down to wait and the lady at the register asks again if we wanted tortillas made by hand, and said yes that's what we ordered. She rolled her eyes and looked at the cooks and as she is attending other customers she yells well you owe me $6. I felt so embarrassed, like no you g lady, you charged me Incorrectly. She could have said, you know I apologize I charged you incorrectly, this is the price it should have been. Then she got upset because I asked for limes with my order that was to go!!!! Let me begin by saying the customer service is phenomenal , that cashier/waitress whom greeted us and took our order was great, the man in the back cooking was very friendly always seemed to smile. Friendly faces and gestures are always nice!! The location is small, but it's very homie feeling and it's pretty clean just a little run down from the outside. The tortillas Hand made!! This was a plus for me because they were delicious. We tried al pastor, carne asada, and barbacoa and let me tell you if you are a pork fan al pastor here is beyond words!!! the barbacoa was delicious I was a huge fan. They're always 99 cents, what a steal!! Very flavorful, I wish the al pastor just had a little more meat, I would rather more meat!! But again they were delicious. We ordered two quesobirria tacos and rice n beans and a soda and we got overcharged the order was $20 . We called and asked about the pricing and we're rudely spoken to in argument and hung up on. When arriving to get our change and tell them we had gotten overcharged and hung up on when we called to ask about the pricing. A couple translated for the woman who is apparently the owner and when she rung up the order it was less than what we were charged and after a heated debate after being asked to return the food that was already eaten we recieved our $3 change. Which was still overcharged for the order of two tacos rice and beans and a soda. Unfortunately after being regular customers and having this happen and no true remorse or trying to make it right we will not be returning to this location and would like to warn others to check their receipts as penny pinching is apparently a regular practice here. I've been living in the area for over 20 years and still couldn't find a taco shop that I could say had great tacos, BUT THEN I WANDERED INTO TACOS NAYARIT and all I could say is - WOW! The tacos were fantastic, had carne asada, carnitas, chicken, chorizo and loved them all. I ate there at lunch time and wanted to return for dinner but decided it might be better to wait a day or so. Their green salsa at the salsa bar was the best option, tortillas were homemade to perfection. Music is too loud for my taste but they offered friendly service at your seat or at the walk up counter. They cook better than they count, make sure to check that you are charged correctly. WILL DEFINITELY BE EATING HERE REGULARLY. UPDATE - Went back on 5/27, it was very good again, taco portions sizes will vary from taco to taco and plate to plate, MUSIC STILL WAY TOO LOUD but overall, well worth the trip. Authentic mommy's taste, very good and fresh. They literally make each meal from scratch at the order. A little bit of waiting time so if you think it is fast food, it's really isn't. Taco was a bit spicy and so keep it in mind. Water tasted like mold so buy a bottled water instead. read more

Terrible customer service. Wrong business to be in for these people. And when you get your food to go check it before you leave if your able to. They will skimp you on meat. It's unfortunate because the food is pretty good but then again there isn't much to eat around that area. That's probably why they have such rude customer service because they know you don't have many options. It's happened more than a few times now and I'm not giving them another cent of my hard earned money. I tip every time and I'm very polite. Sad when you have more customer service than the employees themselves. People can eat anywhere, and when they choose to eat at your establishment, you should treat them with respect and be welcoming that's the whole point of having a business in customer service. That's how you stay in business and you'd probably be less stingy about your sauces or Ziploc bags like someone referred to in a past review because you would likely have more business to cover more of the cost to treat your customers. I'm sure half of your business is gone or potential business just never came back to due to your unwelcoming, unpleasant, rude attitudes. I've never left a review before but I feel strongly about this one. It's disappointing how small business owners can treat customers with such little respect right out the gate especially when your paying them and your their customers at their own business!! You need our business more than we need yours. Have some pride in your business and let it grow in a positive light. It came off entitled to me. One of my worst experiences.
