Pork all fat, no hominy corn
    Diana R.

Postmates ordered some chicken pozole They sent pork pozole instead, it was ALL FAT and not a single kernel of hominy corn. Despite this I tried to eat it , it was all oil and fat. I had two spoons and threw it away. Save yourself the $ and pick up some canned pozole .

While it was great to see only two empty storefronts, most businesses sell overpriced to super overpriced products to stay afloat. The mall is dated-looking, with a defunct water fountain, but the open second floor bathed in natural sunlight gives off soothing, chill vibes. The food court has about 9 places, mostly Korean but also a Vietnamese and Japanese katsu options. We ate fresh bi bim naeng myun (very chewy buckwheat noodles), ja jang myun (chewy noodles with black bean sauce and a nice amount of minced beef or pork), and fish cake on a skewer. Some places charge for a to go container and the cranky employee at the naeng myun place (the name's only in Korean, Kang San Myun Ok, refused to sell me to go in separate containers. Excuse me for wanting to separate the chewy noodles from the broth, as the noodles will lose elasticity from a long drive. The food court had many televisions broadcasting a World Cup match. There eating area is spacious with tables are cleared and wiped quickly. The outdoor dining are was closed the day we went. The supermarket is huge, organized and has the viral fruit-shaped ice cream that I adore, for $4.99 each. There's a Cake House bakery with mildly sweet Asian pastries and hot beverages. Their cakes are very expensive and beautiful. Cake slices are also sold. The mall has women's clothes, skin care, a bank, bookstore, children's toys, handbags and jewelry, and knick-knacks or collectibles. There's even a flower shop on a parking level right by the supermarket entrance. We were surprised to spend about 4 hours there. It's easy to spend a lot of time here as the parking is free! I will be back for the food and accessories in support of Korean-owned businesses.

Parking is for a fee, but they validate at most stores and some of the eateries. It has the best of Korean cuisine for every budget. You can have great noodles and spend less than 15$. The wide variety of restaurants, from sizzling street food and noodle soups to crispy katsu and savory dumplings are the reason we often go. We love to have lunch or dinner there. The people that work there are so nice and will help you, especially in the shops. I am often looking for the latest comic for my grandson and they are always there to help. If they have to do maintenance, they should avoid doing so during such busy hours. + Nicole's Coffee Shop was kind enough to validate my parking without me buying anything. I decided to support their business anyway. - The food court is very limited on hydrating, healthy drinks. I had barely walked around inside the Plaza for 15min when suddenly all the lights went out. Inside H-Mart was so dark. I ran outta there. Sunlight still shown through the windows, thankfully. Everyone was confused. I rushed back to my car in the parking garage and booked it outta there. Thankfully the gatekeeper's barricade arm was staying up (so my validated parking ticket didn't matter) so I could drive off quickly before the exit became a bottleneck. Turns out West LA had a blackout... the one time I ever visit LA! Shame, cuz I wanted to walk around Koreatown Plaza a little more before heading to the next checkpoint in my itinerary.

Situated in the heart of Hollywood, this outdoor shopping and dining area is surrounded by landmarks such as The Hard Rock Cafe, the Dolby Theater--home to the annual Academy Awards--The TCL Chinese Theatre, and much more. There is a fantastic outdoor courtyard offering guests plenty of picnic-style tables, individual tables and chairs, padded seating, and umbrellas for shade. Guests can also take the stairs or ride the elevator to the higher areas of the complex for stunning views of the Hollywood sigh and the complex courtyard. Underground parking is secure and can cost up to $25.00. However, if you shop or dine at any of the businesses within the complex, discounted parking is available with a validated ticket. Remember to bring your parking ticket with you. My family and I enjoyed lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe, visited a local museum, and shopped in the area. Our parking fee was only $3.00 after validation. Employees of the complex are friendly and hardworking, and security personnel conduct high-visibility patrols on foot and bikes. The entire area is relaxing and fun. Generally, I think of this as a tourist spot, but have had occasions in the past when a screening or event has brought me to this venue. SO MANY dining options, Japanese cultural experiences, a cute K Skin boutique and a convenient place to park, eat, then walk a short distance to the Hollywood Bowl. It may be slightly uphill, but after the concert, the walk back is a breeze. Parking is a very fare price, and most shops & restaurants will validate 2 hours free, which make it even more affordable. We recently checked out their Center Court FIFA watch party area and it was a LOT of fun. I also felt it was safe and a good visual presence of security guards was observed. There are also easy coffee, sandwich, boba and snack kiosks for a quick bite or fun treat. This is also a great location to start the Hollywood walk of fame tour, cement handprints and local museums - in particular The Hollywood Museum, just a 1/2 block away. Of course, there's also all the Oscar allure, but I'll keep that area for the tourists to enjoy. Cheers! "CC"

As somewhat expected in a highly populated area in a big city, be vigilant and watch out for yourself, because despite cameras everywhere and the occasional security personnel, you tend to see some shady characters lurking around. Location 4 stars: In the Fairfax District area of Los Angeles, to the East of the original Farmer's Market. The Grove has a huge but very busy parking structure, so while you may have to journey to the upper levels, you will eventually find parking. Although some restaurants will validate part of the parking fees, be prepared to pay somewhere between $10 and $30 depending on how long you stay and which stores you visit. Their validation rules are fairly complex and not straightforward, so be sure to read all the fine print. They also have Valet parking on premises. Venue 4 stars: Nice modern open air set up with a Nordstrom, Zara and H&M and a bunch of smaller stores, an AMC movie theater, a Barnes and Noble, a Cheesecake Factory, and a variety of coffee shops and restaurants to fit most tastes and budgets. One catch being that the Grove parking lot cannot be validated by the Farmers Market stores and vice versa. Once you are on premises you can use the trolly to move from one end of the venue to the other. Also keep in mind that the Original Farmers Market is literally next door and attached to the Grove, which dramatically increases your food options.
