Delicious! Love coming here with my friends after a night out. The staff is super friendly and they have a small table with seats as well.

    Cheeseburger

You may think I'm silly getting a burger from a taco and torta truck. Well I think you're silly not getting it. So there! This truck parks on Wilshire most nights in Ktown, and living nearby I found myself here several nights. I've heard most everything is good from the truck but something in me keeps ordering the cheeseburger. I do also enjoy their tortas, tacos, and taquitos...but... Get the Cheeseburger. Add egg. Add avocado. Enjoy!

    Midnight Munchies 2023

After watching a movie and heading down Wilshire we pulled over at this taco truck for midnight munchies. I ordered the California Burrito with all the fixings. These can be a hit or miss and the reason is that they usually serve me these burritos luke warm when I just received it. The flavor was good but again what turned me off was that it was luke warm. My friend ordered a asada Torta and he loved it, so it can be a hit or a miss depending on what you order.

    Rude cashier

I've been coming here for 10 years. Today is my last day. The cashier is new. She's rude, short with her words, racist, and horrible. She first let others cut in front of me because I'm not Latino. Then I try to order a burrito, and before I can finish my order she cuts me off and tells me $12. I've never had this experience before. After I get my food, I respectfully ask her "Did I do something wrong with the way I ordered?" She snaps at me and doesn't answer my question instead saying the person in front of me asked for 3 (of something). I ask her again. She responds. "18 hour shift". As if that's an excuse. Then she proceeds to try to talk smack about me in Spanish to her coworker cook as if I can't understand (I'm not Latinx). I've been supporting this small family owned business for 10 years. The owner knows who I am, as I get food here all the time. But honestly this is my last day. I'm so disgusted I'm not even hungry anymore that I just threw my burrito away.

Super Burrito was tasty but ordinary--maybe try shrimp/fish tacos? The free tortilla chips were not too salty and just right.

Ordered $10 shrimp burrito, there are maybe a handful of shrimps inside. $10 chicken quesadila, just cheese. No thanks....

I got the Billa platter with chicken, asada, chorizo, & the weekend special barbacoa. They were all great and it was probably too much food for me with all the cheese, meat, and guac. My favorite was definitely the pollo, the flavor was amazing and was one of ghe best chicken tacos I've ever had. The chorizo was also good, as it had the potatoes mixed in. The steak was solid, but it tasted too similar to the chorizo to me so it was hard for me to differentiate. The barbacoa was good but I wish the meat was a little more tender. Overall, I was not disappointed and will definitely be back for the chicken queso tacos!

Their salsas are really good and so is their agua frescas. Ordering in the store is small, so the ambiance is well kept and clean but space is limited. They do have a good organized system though, so they make it work.

I've been meaning to try the other items on their menu, but it was so good the first time that I had to order it again. The portions are *very* generous, and they had the usual sides readily available on the side: lemons, cucumbers, sliced radish, grilled onions and peppers, etc. Also had a bite of their corn quesadilla... the tortilla was soooo good. They had the masa on the side and were making the tortillas fresh and by hand. Yum. Payment: - They take Apple pay! :) Parking: - We found street parking nearby thankfully, but it might be hard to find in general due to the area. Seating: - They have seating to the left of their grill (tables, folding chairs, a tarp overhead). Depending on the time of day, sometimes the shade doesn't quite cover your face--the sun was setting and hitting us right in the eyes, so we switched sides to sit facing away from the sun once those seats were available.

Having been to so many taco stands, I think what makes Tire Shop Taqueria really stand out are the right-off-the-grill charcoal-grilled meats, the freshly made tortillas literally in front of you as you are waiting on line, and the free guacamole that comes with each taco. The ordering process is like any other taco stand, though one difference is here the salsas/guacamole are all handled by the staff. If you'd like more of something, just ask them instead of reaching for the ladle yourself. There is a separate area though for grilled onions/peppers and radishes you can serve yourself. I got the asada, chorizo, cabeza, and al pastor, and they were all so good. The asada and chorizo are specifically grilled over charcoal, and that flavor really shines through. I loved how meaty and tender the cabeza was too, and the classic al pastor hit the spot. They have large communal tables setup, so it is a great friendly vibe to enjoy your meal I will say, the surrounding area is not the best in LA, especially given how the taco stand is only open at night. The parking lot is quite small, so I parked on a side street that had some abandoned cars, but of course, if you are in/from LA, this is not that new for us. I would hesitate if I am a tourist though to make it out here. Anyhow, the food really is worth it here, and I can't wait to be back!

We found easy street parking in the neighborhood on 41st Street, and waited in line for about 15-20 minutes. We ordered the asada tacos. They pre-sauce your tacos, which was fine by me, but my boyfriend who can't handle as much spice would've preferred it on the side (so warning for anyone similar! they do put a little habanero on them, so just ask them for salsa on the side). I think I ran into a problem of reading too many raving reviews -- these tacos were good but I was expecting them to be mind blowing, so I was a little disappointed. I tasted the charcoal char, but kind of wished the taste was more pronounced, or at least the meat more seasoned. The hand made tortillas were definitely the coolest part, but I thought they were a little dry too. The ladies whipping those out are artists though. Actually, all the workers here have the assembly line down to the tea, and they definitely add a little flare for a show. I particularly liked how they had a lot of seating at this location, instead of just a couple stools lying around like most taco trucks. It felt more like outdoor patio seating than a normal taco stand. They could probably take more time to wipe down tables more often though. Overall would visit again if in the area, but wouldn't go out of my way for the tacos here.

We ordered just a couple tacos - one asada and one tripa, based on reading numerous recommendations that those are what to get here. $3.50 a taco which is not bad for a restaurant taco. It's a cool casual vibe here. Seating inside as well as the patio. They have tasty looking horchata and other agua frescas. Colorful walls. They bring your food out to you by calling your name. The tacos were loaded with a pretty decent amount of meat and toppings. But sadly we were far from impressed by the flavor. The asada was okay and better than the tripa, but it paled in comparison to our go-to taco trucks in the area which only costs $1. And the tripa was strange to eat in taco form. The tripa is crunchy small pieces so it just feels odd to eat in a taco. Maybe if it was just served as an appetizer to eat by itself, but even then, it kinda just feels like you're eating pellets. Don't see the hype unfortunately.
