I went to buy a shrimp burrito for lunch ended having a full Peel onion . I had previous bad experience with la costa but I decided to give another try. Please check out the order to go because we order for lunch and we can't go back for an exchange or return .

Everytime I visit from SoCal, this restaurant is a major stopping point for me. No other restaurant in SoCal has the best ceviche and tostada that compares to this one. I usually order about 4 tostada each time and finish it all. In the picture, I bought tostadas with fish and octopus . It was raining the day I went, but I am so glad that this place offers a sit-down in an enclosed area to enjoy the food. Highly recommend this place as a pit stop before heading into Oakland's Chinatown.

Went out for lunch and we found this place. Food here was ok. I had the shrimp tacos and wife had steak and shrimp fajitas. House margarita was on the weak side. Service was great, nice and friendly atmosphere.

I was upset when I got my Aguachiles because the way they make them here is not my style at all, the shrimp is not cook in lemon. I send my husband to nicely show them my food and honestly I wasn't going to keep eating it. A nice men came out from the kitchen and offer us another one but with cook shrimp, he give us different options and I think that's very nice of him In making sure we happy with our food. I was not convinced at first but I say yes. Just because of this reason I'm giving them a better start rate. My food was better and I got a tostada mix and it was good too. They have no alcohol but it's ok. I normally like to eat Mariscos with a beer.

$15 for 5 tacos wasn't bad at all. Both the asada & pollo were so good. Fresh, lots of meat, lots of flavor. They didn't skimp at all. Not chewy or fatty like some places. They were cooked perfectly.

Walk up, place your food and you'll be eating within minutes. These guys are quick! This is an outdoor seating area only. Weather you are ordering tacos, burritos, ceviche or anything else on the menu you won't be disappointed. Leave your cash in the bank, they now take cards! Tap away and eat on.

Delicious food, great price and fast service! Super friendly staff. They already know me and my usual order haha. This is the king of fast Mexican food! Sunday's they have one of the best menudos I've tried! It's always clean too! Staff is able to keep up with the cleanliness :)

Mariscos la Costa is a small place with outdoor dining only. So what do you do if it cold like today you either bundle up or take it to go. To go was our choice for today considering the weather. Service is pretty good here every time i have been here. Today the line was long and the place was pretty busy. The line went fast and got our food in a reasonable amount of time. The food is good with good seasoning and presentation. I usually go with the carne asada tacos and the huns get the shrimp cocktail. Bothe were good and satisfying. Till next time.

The garlic fries were cooked to the perfect level of crispiness, while the lobster garlic noodles were flavorful, savory, and packed with garlic goodness. The seafood itself was fresh and good quality, but I found the House Special Mild sauce a little underwhelming. I was hoping for more depth and flavor, but most of what I tasted was a mild kick of heat. While it wasn't bad, it didn't have the rich, buttery, and well-seasoned flavor profile that I typically look for in a seafood boil sauce. Service was great throughout our visit. We were seated promptly, our food arrived quickly, and any requests we had were fulfilled without issue. The staff was attentive and made the dining experience smooth and enjoyable. I also appreciated the restaurant's nautical theme. The decor featured fishing nets, ship-inspired accents, and other sea-themed elements that helped create a fun and immersive atmosphere. Overall, I'm glad we gave this place a try. The garlic noodles and fries were delicious, and the service was excellent. While I would probably choose other seafood boil spots in the future, this was still a solid experience and worth trying at least once.

Regardless of the matter and situation, I'm happy to see that they're doing well. I came in super late last night being it the second to last Friday for Lent and was craving seafood. I remembered this spot had a dish of steamed clams in a basil and ginger broth that reminded me of my dad's Filipino version. I came back because I craved it and since I wasn't feeling 100%. This brought me back to life. It was so good and fragrant, which definitely brought me back to my childhood. I decided to also get a few more dishes since I'm acclimating to the Vietnamese culture. The food here is super good and the owner or staff here in general are very nice. I'm going to try to come back often since the price point is worth it in my opinion.

But using that same approach here, we were still very hungry afterward. Not only are the portions extremely small, but the flavors are inconsistent. The xào me was overly salty, while the rang muối ớt was surprisingly bland. On top of that, the presentation was top notched....... the portions are much smaller than what's shown in the photos, vegetables were stale, and there wasn't even any garlic included, despite it being clearly shown on the menu. The gỏi was okay. Will not return.

Too bad you can't add to the waitlist beforehand. We ended up getting seated at our table around 7:50pm This location is not as big as the other SJ location but it is slightly less busy than that one since it's further out. One reason is that I don't live in the San Jose area anymore, and another is that there are now so many seafood boil spots around since Boiling Crab really started the trend. One positive right away: there was no long wait. We arrived around 8pm and were seated immediately, which was great. I remember the days when we'd have to put our name down and walk around Target while waiting for our table. I do wish they offered combo bags like a lot of other seafood boil places do now, since that's always a hit. Instead, we ordered 3 pounds of shrimp with whole-sha-bang sauce in mild. The shrimp themselves were great--nice and big, not the tiny peanut-sized ones you sometimes get. The flavor was also really good. However, the "mild" tasted much spicier than I remembered. From past visits, mild always had a small kick but was still pretty manageable. This honestly tasted closer to medium. My boyfriend politely asked one of the servers if he could get a small side of garlic butter because the sauce was spicier than expected. She immediately responded that it would be $5 for extra sauce, and the way it was said came off pretty rude. We understand that there's an option to make the bag "extra saucy" for an additional charge, but he wasn't asking for extra sauce for the whole bag--just a small side to balance out the spice. Even a simple response like "I'm sorry it came out spicier than expected" would have gone a long way. I've worked in customer service for over 15 years, and I've always believed in "kill them with kindness." We weren't rude at all--we just mentioned that it seemed spicier than mild. In the end, we decided to just skip the extra sauce. Again, the flavor was still good, but to me this definitely tasted more like medium. When we got our check, a different server asked how everything was. My boyfriend mentioned that the sauce was spicier than mild, and she responded with, "Oh no, I'm sorry it wasn't exactly what you wanted." We told her it wasn't her fault since we had already mentioned it earlier, and she just gave us a sympathetic look. Overall, the food itself was good, and I'd probably give it a 4 for taste, but the lack of customer service knocked the experience down for me. I understand it was later in the evening and they still had a full lobby, but a little kindness and attentiveness would have made a big difference.
