No Bueno sad to say. We had high hopes between the reviews here and from FB. Let's start with the good. The place is super clean. The service was good, although it took a while to actually get our food. The prices are Uber cheap. But we soon found out why. Frankly, the food was disappointing. We had tacos and tamales. They were all dry. The shells were really dry and a bit on the hard side. I had some lengua tacos. The meat was really good. The problem was, the meat, while flavorful, was dry. No sauce or rendering. So dry meat, the chicken and carnitas were pretty much the same, and dry tortilla, means fry taco. Even with some salsa, it was hard getting them down. We drank a lot of liquid to help. The tamales were just OK. They had an overwhelming corn taste. And there lies the problem. That is all you tasted. The tamales and filling were kind of flavorless. The shell was moist, but since it had little flavor,, the moistness is kind of moot. Sorry, this is a no return to, but I wish them well. The search for the best taco in Cape Coral continues. So far, CubaMex on Del Prado is in first place.

Absolutely WONDERFUL!! Tucked in the corner of the shopping plaza, you have to be looking for this charmer! We started off with the chips and super fresh pico de gallo, YUM. Hubby got a carne asada burrito, I got the shredded beef San Miguel plate that is kinda like a fajita set up with the five great tortillas. The food is SPOT on in flavor and presentation! Warning, nothing is loaded with cheese, this isn't American style Mexican, it's the REAL deal!! Our meal came to $25....almost the price of a single meal in the uppity other Americanized Mexican places. They also have a food truck on Pine Island near Del Prada, simple menu. We WILL BE BACK!

Its worth a whole two stars. The food was well put together but the main theme around each dish was bland/ too salty. I ordered a torta with rice an beans. They stuck one chip in my refried pinto beans an my rice looked amazing an had a great coat of oil on it but it was not seasoned at all. They treated my torta like a tortilla an i can understand why but it is a different dish an because they did that, my bread was soggy. The fish tacos were barely edible because of the salt on it. It was like they took the fish out of the ocean, killed it, cooked it an then threw it back in the ocean. The chips were hand made an great, and the carne asada was really sour taste in our mouths. The service wasnt bad but it wasnt great. The feeling of delicious food quickly turned to dread when, even though we ordered in native Spanish with help from our friends, they got our food orders wrong. I was hoping it wouldn't translate over to the checks at the end of the me and thankfully it did not. Now, i see the awards, the food has to be good. Some of us did like the meal so maybe it was an off day but i hold by my review until we try this place again.

Came in for taco Tuesday for my first time here. It was inexpensive and satisfied my taco craving. I like that they had Tajin seasoning , it went well with everything and they provided green and red hot sauce in a bottle when our food came. A little spot that is kind of hidden. It's located in the same plaza as Party City but in the far right corner and you have to walk down a bit. Everything tasted good. However the beans were not my favorite and needed a little more flavor and was too watery for my liking but that is what I prefer. Also if you order a quesadilla it isn't like what you expect like other restaurants it's like a taco but with a lot of melted cheese. It was good but was expecting the other style (that's in between two tortillas and grilled the cut in triangles) . Check my picture of the rice and beans plate, the top one, sitting to the right of the beans, is their version of quesadilla. The torta was similar to the al pastor taco just on some bread instead of on a tortilla, very filling so it was all definitely a value.

My family was craving authentic Mexican food and we had previously heard lots of good words about Tacos San Miguel. We ordered delivery from a third party service and we were AMAZED by the quality and flavor of the food. We got enough food for the three of us and leftovers for less than $20! Some of the dishes we enjoyed: sopes de camaron (flatbread with refried beans, shrimp, pico de Gallo, and cheese), shrimp quesadilla, tacos al pastor, tacos de barbacoa and chips and guacamole. Everything was incredibly fresh and portions were generous. The tortillas were homemade and delicate thin but held up well to the taco fillings. We will be adding Tacos San Miguel to our rotation!!

Awesome tacos. The pastor, chicken and beef are all delicious. The tortillas are great. The horchata is perfect. 10/10.

The wings are aaaaamazing and the pico was so fresh and yummy. Highly recommend for quality food and authentic street tacos. Went last Friday for lunch and we will definitely be back soon!

When Mr.Roberto greeted us it truly felt like he was welcoming us into his home. We were seated and I ordered a lime house margarita and the jalapeño queso to start. The margarita blew me out of the water. It was so delicious I had to stop myself from getting another one (maybe on the weekend hehehe) the queso came out warm and Cheesey just how you want it! They give chips and salsa to start. Three types in a bottle and a pico type in a container. This is wonderful for me because I am a little baby when it comes to spice so I enjoyed the flavorful mild (green) while my boyfriend was a fan of the dark red really spicy one! For our mains we both got tacos he got the carne asada soft shell taco combo which came with three and I got the taco supreme which came with 2 mine were hard shell with a layer of cheese and then a soft shell. I really appreciate how they use shredded cheese on the tacos I got- it was very authentic and reminded me of actual Mexican food from Mexico and not this east coast Mexican food I can't seem to get away from in FL! We finished off the night with the flaun which was creamy and the perfect way to end this feast. We had to go boxes when we left and a beautiful heartfelt conversation with Mr.Roberto. He was full of pride, kindness, and personality. He made sure to visit every table and the atmosphere made me never want to do a to go order because then you'd be missing out of all the immaculate vibes. I can't wait to go back!

I went with a selection of tacos - asada, chorizo and pollo. The chorizo was my favorite. They make their own salsa in three levels of spice. My favorite was the mild. It was creamy and flavorful. I also had an hankering for dessert so I tried the flan. It was probably better than the meal itself! It wasn't too sweet but it was rich and delicious - don't miss it if you're coming here.

Our waitress was very prompt upon seating and followed up multiple times during our dining experience which we appreciated. My wife ordered nachos supreme, and I ordered the special 3 which consisted of a burrito, beef taco and enchilada. My dish also included beans and rice. My wife and I both enjoyed our food very much and we both felt it was one of the best Mexican restaurants we've been to in quite some time. We have no complaints about the service, food or the resturant and would recommend this restaurant to anyone who has a hankering for Mexican food.

So I went to El Toro with my son after school on April 21st, for early supper. I won't be back, I…read morebelieve I was ripped off and will tell you why. Also, this place is absolutely not authentic Mexican, and our food also wasn't great. My son ordered the kids plate, just a taco. We opted to get him steak instead of ground beef, and the waiter told us there would be a small upcharge for this, and we said okay. We also asked for a regular corn tortilla instead of a hard shell taco, and the waiter said that was fine, and made no mention of any type of additional cost for the regular corn tortilla, or that having a plain corn tortilla would somehow change the plate cost. I have added a pic of what the menu says was the cost for a kids taco plate. It was supposed to be $7.19, plus a small upcharge for steak, which I though was going to be $2.00 more. No, instead they charged us for a completely different plate, at $11.18, so basically $4.00 more?! What happened to kids meal pricing?! There was no warning from the waiter that asking for a soft shell instead would change the pricing completely. My son has teeth coming in and the hard shells are hurting his teeth. Also, their menu says our drinks were supposed to be $3.00 each, again, pic of their menu attached. But they charged me $5.00 each drink, My son got like a sprite/starry and I got plain iced tea. Should have been $3.00 each right? Why charge me $5.00 per drink?! $10.00 for two drinks!!! I ordered a shredded chicken quesadilla, and it was not great. The chicken was shredded and smothered in a red enchilada sauce of some sort (tasted very plain and like out of a can) and then put into the tortilla with cheese and cooked. This made for a weird saucy mess of a quesadilla. I have NEVER eaten a quesadilla, not in CA, not in TX or anywhere in between where they add sauce to the inside of a quesadilla. I grew up in CA and have eaten alot of great Mexican food, from restaurants, carts, trucks, whatever. I don't know how adding cheap enchilada sauce to the inside of a quesadilla somehow makes this "New Mexican"? Also, the beans were smooth but very bland and flavorless, I had to bribe my son to finish his beans, which I usually never have to do, this kid loves rice and beans. And on top of the beans they put a powdered parmesan type cheese, which gave them a weird dry texture when we went to eat them. We both tried stirring our beans to get the powdery cheese mixed into our beans, but this didn't help at all, just made our beans altogether gritty and bad. Also, during the meal the music that was being played was not appropriate for my 12 year old son to be listening to. There were several elderly couples in there as well and they were remarking how bad the music was. You can put on clean versions of songs and still have good music. Overall, I have to say I wont be back. Restaurants should not take advantage of people, this is wrong. My receipt is attached. Their menu pics are attached. Its wrong to trick people. Go to La Fondita instead, they have real Mexican food and better prices.
