At this point I will not come back to any of these locations anymore. There are so many rules. For example with cash the price is $25 and with card it is $35. Beware when they ask for fresh tortillas. These will be extra charge that they don't inform you about. The workers don't often speak English well but I speak Spanish fine so I speak Spanish with then but they just like to speak English. Still, there was no information of extra charges. Small prices increase over the years is fine but adding this and that fee to the total cost is unacceptable. Most importantly they forgot an order from my total order. I was looking forward to trying this spot close to UCLA but was surprised both by the price and the packaging. I ordered three tacos (pollo, pastor, asada) and a side of rice and beans. The sign doesn't list any prices, so I was surprised when the total was $15. I asked before I left how much one taco was, just to make sure it wasn't a mistake, and the cashier said $3 something. Rice and beans as a side must have been $4-5. The price was not ideal but makes sense considering it's Westwood and service was fast. I brought my tacos home to eat and was disappointed to see that the beans had spilled through the hole in the lid and the salsa/juice from tacos was leaking from the taco plate. It made a huge mess getting it out of the bag onto my table. Be careful opening because it was not packaged well. They should especially consider getting different containers for rice and beans. The tacos were fully topped with onions and cilantro, and they included a side of grilled onions, limes, and two salsas. I would much rather top it myself, but this worked okay. The pollo and asada were average, not much flavor and a lot of taco juice making the tortilla wet. The pastor was just bad; I didn't finish it. Very dry, not much flavor. Rice and beans were fine. Better luck going to other well known stands in West LA. There's room for improvement here, but it is in a convenient spot. Probably will only come back for a Taco Tuesday deal. read more

The tacos themselves were good-- no complaints. However, I was their only customer and it took 12 minutes to make my taco. Also, it was $9 for two small tacos which I would consider overpriced. I ordered two tacos but only got one so I had to reorder my second taco. Note: the tacos themselves only come with meat and cilantro and you have to pay extra to add cheese (and guac, salsa etc). I saw lots of bad reviews after I placed my pickup order and they had me a bit worried, but I was a big fan of this truck! I got a brekafast burrito (under $4!) and three tacos (one asada, one al pastor, one buche) and a horchata (was half price). This spot is comfortably above average! It's the closest thing to an authentic torta given that we're in Westwood. The price was not too bad for what you get, and I'd eat it again in a time crunch, but I still feel that there are improvements to be made. Some things I didn't enjoy: -small portions: I expected it to be a lot bigger, but I can see how the size matches the price and at least they didn't just slap some plain jamón in there. -putting American cheese in a torta: I really don't understand the American cheese, you're already doing great by having a variety of meat options and good pan, but why not just use Mexican cheese? The tacos were okay, the pastor was pretty bad and carne asada was just okay but the salsas were very good, so it made up for it. Everything else was pretty standard. I thought the size of the tacos were fine, typical for street tacos. Great location too in westwood village. The problem is it was pretty expensive, going just off the menu prices its a bit higher than typical street tacos already, and with the surcharge they add to cards it bumps up significantly. There are plenty of other trucks in LA that let you pay with card without massively ramping up the price for much better food though, and especially if I was just paying with cash there are better spots. Great late-night taco spot near UCLA! Tacos Super Gallito just opened a new food truck location here in the parking lot next to Diddy Riese (intersection of Le Conte Ave & Broxton Ave) that's open till 2AM Sun-Thurs and 3AM Fri-Sat. Stopping by at night is the way to go because that's when they bring out their salsa/topping bar too. I got 4 tacos: lengua ($2), cabeza ($1.60), buche ($1.60), and asada ($1.60). My favorite was easily the cabeza--it was packed with flavor and melted in my mouth. The buche and lengua were delicious and cooked great as well, and I would say the asada was just average. The cilantro/raw onions were fresh, and you can also ask for grilled onions when you order. Salsa/topping bar had your usual fixings, and the salsas I would say were medium/mild spice (you can really slather it on). One suggestion would be that it'd be great if they had an extra table for a separate seating area; right now the seats are just next to the self-serve bar. While I enjoyed the pillowy soft texture of the tortillas, the carne asada and al pastor were admittedly on the dry side. The latter did have some great robust flavor though. If you have no other options this place will have to do. I ordered one carne asada taco and one Al pastor taco with handmade tortillas. They charged me extra for the tortillas but they gave me regular tortillas. The Al pastor taco had maybe a tablespoon of meat. It was dry and did not have much flavor. Also, no pineapple. The carne asada taco was dry and not flavorful either. I asked for onions and beans which are free. The beans and the roasted onions were both good. Whenever I drove past it or walked past it, it would always be there whether it's night or day, and I've always wanted to try it. I have to say that the truck really disappoints me. The food was not particularly great. It's completely edible, but it lacks a lot of flavor. I tried an al pastor burrito and there was absolutely no flavor in it. It was also really soft and I felt like I was eating mush. It was by no means bad, but it was definitely not good. It also took a really long time for my food to come out despite me being the only customer waiting. For what I paid, I definitely felt underwhelmed. $6.99 for a moderately sized burrito with no flavor that felt like mush really doesn't sit well with me.
