Absolutely excellent! Stopped in for a birthday dinner before going to Letz Rage down the street. First off, all the food was delicious and big portions of it. Drinks were huge, tasty, and strong. There was even live music which was so fun! The staff made the birthday extra special with candles, a song by the guitarist, so thank you for that. Ordered take-out with friends and we all have mixed thoughts. I ordered chicken tacos on corn tortillas. The tortillas itself were good. The filling is were it fell short. It was described on the menu as having Marinated grilled chicken tomato, fresco & avocado. It didn't have any avocado at all. It wasn't bad, but it needed some type of oomph. I did add some of the salsa they gave us to help with that. With my tacos was I was given a choice of beans or rice. I went with the refried beans, which were okay. My fiancé had Choripollo, which was Pollo, chorizo, & cheese sauce served over rice. He found 2 pieces of hair in his food. So that was that. My friend had Camarones Diabla, which was described as Pan-seared shrimp, in a spicy chipotle sauce. Served with rice & Garlic bread. His dish came with about 8 shrimp and no garlic bread. My other friend had a chicken burrito. He said it was good. Eh. Proceed with caution I guess. It's very hit or miss. read more

We arrived later in the evening after a comedy show and another adult beverage establishment. We were greeted like they were happy to see us. We saw that most of the dining room has been reset for the next day we decided on eating at the bar. I recommend this. This gives you time to check out what a variety different tequilas they have. Had to have margaritas, best choice! As for food, what a selection, from tacos to platters. Everything I tasted was spot on. We were visiting from California and when one of our group I said "Fitchburg Tacos, I'm in"l. Nothing I would have expected, but surprisingly appreciative!!! I really liked the place the food tasted great, the chips from the quac was sooo good. It was empty but I did come on a Monday afternoon.. I really did like the food, unfortunately 20 hours later.. I have been having to use the bathroom a lot, just straight water coming out of my chocolate starfish. And while that was happening another problem was coming out on the other end. I threw up all over my bathroom. Mind you that was the only thing I ate yesterday and I didn't eat ANYTHING today since I CANT keep it down. Being a foodie and a former San Diegan, it's borderline impossible to find decent Mexican food in New England - much less STELLAR Mexican food. This place is on point. I'm in Fitchburg on work travel and am already looking forward to coming back. I had the birria tacos (thanks to another yelp review) and the ultimate margarita with my server's recommendation of top shelf reposado. He did not steer me wrong. Every morsel was delicious. Wow. This is the first real Mexican restaurant I've found in Massachusetts. The food quality is so good and so fresh. They make their own everything. Tortillas, salsa and the guac is chunky and perfect. I ordered the chicken fajitas and they were perfectly caramized and so delicious. Kids food was good as well. Service was great. read more

Wish I took photos but highly recommend! The food and drinks are great. The service was amazing. The ambiance is perfect for a date night with the dim lights, but I had my kids with me-- whoops! Have been to this restaurant many times. However last time I went I felt that it has improved. My waitress was accommodating when I mentioned the needs of my party of 4. She didn't have to care but she did and I really appreciated it! The food was all amazing. The menu has had an upgrade but the children's section needs to be included which I guess it wasn't when the new menus were made. After landing in Boston and traveling towards our work location for the week, we thankfully stumbled upon Tacos Tequila. I'm a taco connoisseur. It takes a layers of flavor to knock my socks off. Enter Tacos Tequila. Absurdly generous with their birria portions, these three envelops of richness might be the best thing I tasted all week in Massachusetts. My boyfriend and I have been here twice and we both agree that this one of the better places for Mexican + margaritas in the Fitchburg/Leominster area. A little on the pricy side, but everything seems made to order so IMO the price is justified. The food always tastes fresh, they use quality ingredients, and they plate everything so nicely. Portions are generous too. The rice and chicken could use more seasoning, and they could do a better job of making sure the chicken isn't as dry. Dry+bland chicken is the reason I will no longer order their empanadas; they were bad, and the tasteless chicken really brought out the flavor of the pastry dough which I personally did not like. However the beef empanadas were delicious, but for some reason you must order both. That being said, their beef dishes are worth it here. Birria tacos are decent and they load up the filling. The beef could use a little more seasoning, but it is cooked perfectly and very very tender. The stew is good as well, perhaps not as flavorful as others, but not bad. read more

Not enough cheese for me and the consommewas soso We also got the huge meat and shrimp platter. The steak, chicken and sausage were delicious. In my opinion the shrimp were not seasoned well and not all deveined. The chips with spicy salsa were great. We asked for tortillas with our meat plate. They were steamed and falling apart. Next level actually. I took the first bite of a chimichangas burrito and instantly a tear of joy fell from my eye. I drank a Jarritos fruit punch soda and my taste buds have never been the same. Best soda I've ever tasted. I'm not sure if I should praise this place, or sue them for ruining every other Mexican restaurant for us. Margaritas are real.
