Really good burritos reminded me of the flavors I used to taste when I still ate meat. We preferred the Asada to the Al Pastor, but both were good. The red salsa is quite hot, and the green salsa was tasty (although I couldn't taste it once I added it to the burrito). Tacos veganos can be really good. Especially their pollo tacos. But dude why is my stomach messed every time i have you guys? And I've had them on numerous occasions. Besides my stomach getting messed up their food needs some more seasonings. I grew up around authentic Mexican culture and tacos veganos food really lacks seasonings. I have to dose my food when I get home with salt and pepper just to enhance everything and I mean everything. They are over priced. But that's the goal of most vegan places trying to profit rather than making healthier food affordable. But if you have a stomach of steel I recommended the pollo tacos , asada tacos , or asada fries . The birria tacos weren't it like at all. Again I'm use to authentic food and I've had authentic vegan barria and when I tell you I was upset like seriously couldn't finish my food. Now the reason I'm giving it a two is not just for the food but for the customer service. A smile goes a long way - it's inviting and the 2 young ladies handling the Agua Fresca station and the cash register looked miserable this past Saturday. Regardless I can't advocate enough why people skills are a must in these businesses. Every job should be done with pride and great service - especially if this taco truck is trying to pave the way for Mexicanos to try stuff out of their comfort zone. I was very intrigued to try this vegan taco spot for a while now - plus with the marketing efforts on their Instagram made the food looked irresistible! Unfortunately the food was okay. Not enough to come back but it was an interesting meal none the less. We order an AZ Vegano Burrito, 2 tacos (1 carne asada & 1 al pastor), & 2 quesabirria tacos. The AZ Vegano burrito was good in the sense that fries with crema and guacamole are just delicious whether from another Mexican Food spot. The plant based meat did get lost in the burrito and that's ultimately why it fell short - the burrito was one texture; everything was soft and mushy. The tacos I think are the better menu items. They are rather small BUT it allows you to try the plant based meats better - simpler ingredients. The Al pastor was my favorite hands down. The carne asada was sad and limpy. I wish they would have seared it some more, maybe given it more texture and hit it with more spices because it was bland. Now the quesabirria tacos were okay. Nothing can replace actual birria meat and jackfruit just doesn't have that texture at all. It was mushy again but it did have that birria flavoring. The quesa birria tacos didn't lack flavor which is good. Overall I appreciate the fact that taco trucks are expanding and trying to make more plant based options and having tasty choices. read more

I was so excited to experience this spot based on the mouthwatering alluring IG. I showed up for tonight on a Tuesday at 8 pm. Upon greeting, was informed the only thing available on the menu was tacos. I ordered nonetheless. When the tacos came out they were naked missing condiments. I guess they were out of that as well. However the Al Pastor and the Asada were very flavorful. I do believe having all the condiments needed for a taco would increased the flavor profile. The chicken/pollo not my favorite at all! I ordered each of the tacos. No distinct taste between the three. The only difference was the color of the soy curls, which was all that was in my very tiny oil-soaked tortilla other than too many raw onions which made it inedible. I went back and ordered it without onions and it was litterally only flavorless soy curls with a very thin flavorless sauce in a tiny oily tortilla. I had my hopes up because of their social media posts. But the food doesn't look like that. Try harder. I never do this, but the food made me mad that I paid for it. But props to Helton Brewing, where their truck is parked. They got good beer. But I get why they park outside a brewery. You have to be hammered drunk to think these are okay tacos. read more

This has been one of my favorite places to come to for a long while. I loved the food truck, the service there was always good. It's my first time at the brick and Mordor store and man was the girl at the counter serving up some serious attitude! Sofia is what my receipt says-- from what I observed she had an issue with anyone asking for more salsa and ignored people when they asked questions. I asked her questions about the menu seemed annoyed, asked her for more salsa, again annoyed. But please don't let that stop you from coming in, especially if you aren't vegan, it may change your view because of how good it is. I had been yearning for years for vegan street tacos, quesadillas, burritos that can replicate the meat and taste and I got it when I came here. Please check this place out it's great.
