What a Wonderful Surprise! Amazing , I mean very delicious Chicken Tostada! Seasoned shredded chicken with refried beans, lettuce , tomato, cilantro and onion! Very simple restaurant serving delicious, fresh food. Located just East of Ridgeland Ave , right off the corner and on the South Side of 26th Street. Next to 420 Smoke Shop, which I recommend taking a look inside that beautiful establishment as well. There is a Protein/Digestive Beverages Coffee/Tea shop next door to the East. Across from the Shell Gas Station & Mr Submarine. Better than expected Mexican restaurant in Berwyn. It's a little place but it has a lot. Tacos Y Salsa has it all in the name it seems. A lot of good items and it begins with the tacos of course. You can still find plenty of other good items. After walking for a bit I popped in. It's a small place and there's not much room. There's only a few tables. Good drinks. There's no alcohol, but there's Agua Fresca. It's about $2 for a small cup. They have flavors including horchata and tamarind. I got the Vegetariano Taco Dinner. It's about $10 for beans and rice with a choice of two tacos. Good hearty meal. This also includes chips and salsa. Go here to get something a lot more authentic. It's best sticking with any tacos. This place has been on my list of restaurants to check out; I live about 5 min away from here so logistically it's pretty convenient. I met my sister here for breakfast. Upon arrival you get a small tray of chips with green & red salsa. The decor is simple & there was only 1 other table occupied. We both ordered huevos con chorizo. The meal comes with beans, Mexican-style potatoes, & tortillas on the side. We shared a side order of rice. I ordered coffee as well. The chorizo had a hint of cinnamon which I've noticed some places do & I don't mind it but my sister isn't a huge fan. I am curious how their steak tastes so I wouldn't mind coming back here for lunch to try their tacos. Our waitress was kind & friendly. -1 star due to use of styrofoam & some plastic utensils, at least when served with coffee/drinks (I'm thinking of the environment here). read more

I like this place because it's nearby. I sat down with my girlfriend and we were just looking at the menu for a normal amount of time for a sit down and my girlfriend heard the chef ask "are they gonna order anything" and the server said "I hope so." The restaurant was completely empty besides just us. This is no way to talk about guests that are actively supporting your business. The male waiter was avoidant in our interactions and was not service oriented. I wasn't told about what they said until after we ordered our food as if I heard what they said in the first place i would not have ordered anything at all. If the employees want to be unbothered so much I'll let them have that. read more

Sad sad experience asked for steak quesadillas only got cheese with lettuce and tomato never asked for that like that. The gordita (homemade breading) was plain just meat didnt give bean cheese lettuce tomatoes nothing. Got a gordita (homemade breading) chicharron could use a like more flavor from seasoning but it was ok. Also got a huarache (homemade) very thick breading tho could of used a little more meat they gave very little or bigger chunks bc the small pieces was like not having any at all had no avacado like told it suppose to... Best tacos in Berwyn. We come here at least 4 times a month. If we don't get a chance to get there we order for pick up. I will have to say the we we order for pick up, it's just not the same. They forget a lot of stuff like the salsa :-( and the portions are smaller. read more

I had fresh hand made chunky guacamole,a fish taco and two shrimp tacos..all of it was almost 20 bucks but well worth it! I ordered takeout from here and tried several different tacos. In order, starting with my favorite flavor was the marinated pork, steak, then chicken. The pork was millions of miles ahead of the other two though. It was juicy and so well-seasoned that any additional sauce was unnecessary. Went with 2 al pastor and 2 fish, al pastor was decent (Atotonilco is the best) but the fish taco was phenomenal. Would definitely go back just for that alone. The pork here is marinated and the flavor just sleeps through the entirety of the meat! So tender and perfect and they top it with just the right amount of onion and cilantro. How have I not reviewed this lil' gem yet!? It's an awesome little mom & pop shop, which I love to support. My husband and I usually go on weekends, and are helped by Cesar, who is so awesome! He always remembers our orders, as we almost always order the same meal each time. He'll make suggestions if we're looking for something new, and is so friendly and accommodating. What I love about T&S is that their food is not greasy. That is my biggest issue with most Mexican restaurants, greasy beans, greasy tortillas, etc. Nothing there is greasy! Their Pico de Gallo is great, love the chicken mole tacos, and my husband loves their soups. I've had the veggie and noodle soup (don't recall the name) and it's yummy. I asked for a bowl of it, but be warned that they only serve it during the week, and Pozole only on the weekends. The only downfall I could see is the temperature in the wintertime. While I'm always cold, It feels like the only heat inside is coming form the kitchen. Again though, small family operation here, and the food is awesome so I suck it up and dress warm when going in the cooler months. read more

I got the carne asade taco and nachos. The tacos were okay, maybe a little dry. The nachos, I feel they really skimped on the toppings. There was just a little bit of beans, guac, cheese and peppers, and very watery sour cream, if it was sour cream. I wish there were a good place to get nachos with good chips and good toppings. I also tried the nachos at Zacatacos and they were terrible. Melted tan velvetta type cheese that made the chips completely soggy. They did give generous portion of chips though and lots of the cheese. read more
